My fractured heart
is clenched with fear,
a testament to every promise
that has ever drawn near,
and was broken,
leaving me empty
and bereft,
numb to everything
but the cruel, callous theft
that was dealt to me,
and now all trust has gone,
and 'though I tell myself
I have to,
I can't find a way
to move on.
