Squirming myself to the other side I opened my eyes at a leisure pace. My eyes stiffened at the sight. Fuck! I slept in his car? This is gonna be so bashful. But my eyes landed on him. I observed him texting someone on his phone. Inquisitively I tried peeking into his phone.
He titled his head towards me while I shut my eyes instantaneously.
Though I didn't completely close my eyes, they were opened quarterly. I observed him smiling while intimately looking at him. For a moment I couldn't process anything. All I knew was my heart wasn't beating normally.
I felt like it could burst out any moment. Why was he smiling at me?
"I know you aren't asleep anymore." Hearing him I had to open my eyes. Rather than being bashed I had to act cool. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
"I didn't realise you would be sleeping for 2 hours!" He said as my eyes widened.
"What? Tw- two hou- hours!" I floured on my words. "Yeah anyways now get out of my car." He spoke as I looked befuddled.
"Excuse me?" I said when he moved his head straight ahead, I looked around my surroundings. I realised we were standing right in front of my house.
I immediately got my bag from the dashboard and opened the door of the car while stepping out. I turned around and spoke,
"do me a favour, don't get mad or question Jayce about this whole thing." "He never forced me for anything." "I agreed to this by myself." I blurted out immediately while expecting him to say anything.
He just blinked his eyes. "Anything else?" He said when my lips spread across. An acute smile over my face. "Thank you for dropping me home." Instantly turning around I detected his car moving ahead as he left from there and with that I stepped inside my house. Huge smile all over my face. Recalling today's event which occurred.

"Because I have a good memory." I stated when his lips spread across his ears. "And a really pretty face too." He added on while I chuckled. "Why are you here though?"
"I have joined this clinic and it's my first day as an orthopaedic." "Omg congratulations." I said while instantly giving him a friendly hug. "Thank you so much Kathy." He said as I broke the hug. "If you don't mind, Can we go for lunch right now?" "There is a Mexican restaurant near our clinic." "And I know you love Mexican food so much."
He said as I looked at him. "Yeah sure but how do you know I love Mexican food?" I raised my eyebrows. As he smiled
"Overheard a few people." "Who was it?" Curiosity took over me since I wanted to know who was so prying. "You talk too much." "Let's go, I'm really hungry and my stomach can burst any moment."
He said, sounding dramatic as I nodded. After a while started ranting at me about his whole day in this new work place while we made our ways out of the clinic.
After an hour, we were walking ahead and chit chatting. "Gosh my stomach looks like a pregnant belly now." Hearing that I couldn't unsuppress and howl out loudly. "My stomach has been hurting Abriel." "I can't anymore." "I wish I could stop but I love seeing you laugh." He spoke as I desisted for a moment. Recalling through my subconscious mind the same was said by Ryan. Years ago. I discarded my thoughts.
I perceived Abriel walking ahead of me and immediately opening the door for me. I chuckled while he was glancing at me. That's when I heard a voice. "Kathy!" I looked straight ahead. And saw Megan reaching out towards me. "Kathy, it's an emergency." "What is it?" "I will tell you everything just came with me now." I looked at abriel. "I'm sorry I guess it's a patient emergency."
"It's fine, I hope we see each other often." I smiled and Before I could reply to him back Megan held my hand and dragged me from there.
Megan kept walking ahead while holding my hand. "What is it?" "What emergency?" "Nothing." "Then why the fuck did you drag me?" I said furiously and could burst on her any moment. "I heard you went to have lunch with that dude." "Who is he?" "His name is Abriel." "And we used to study in the same University." "Though we weren't that close." "No wonder you agreed to have lunch with him so easily." She said while smiling hard.
"It was his first day and I didn't want to say No and sound rude." "Ohh but you seemed to enjoy his company a lot." "I saw you laughing around with him." "You know it's easy for me to socialise with anyone easily." "Anyways, I have something important to tell you."
She raised her eyebrows while looking at me. "What happened?" "Dr Elena wants you to report her on Ryan's health." "And she doesn't know yet that I have been going around his house and assisting him over his diet."
"Oh wait",she desisted for a while and looked at me with widened eyes. "Fuck, if she gets to know that you're going around his house without any autoritazation."
"It's gonna be a huge disarray." "Yeah" I said while looking at her. "So I thought after work today if you could come with me to his house and create a report so you can send it to Dr Elena?" "Of course, anyways I have to meet your childhood crush."
She said while slightly hitting on my arms as I rolled my eyes. "We have many patients to attend." "Let's go?" "Ahh I see someone is getting shy and trying to segue the conversation." Hearing that I smiled internally but, I looked at her as if she provoked me. "Keep babbling whatever you want to." "I have patients waiting." I said while stepping forward. "Wait for me." Eventually she came behind me.

Standing in front of the mirror. I looked at myself in it. Opening my hair I took the detangler and brushed my hair. Looking at my reflection in the mirror. Should I just leave my hair open? But I'm just going to his house as a doctor, not like a date. I immediately lifted my hair above to tie it into a bun.
Suddenly I detected the door of my room being knocked. I looked through the mirror as kaira stepped inside. "Don't." "leave it open!"
She said as I looked at her. "Nope I have a bad hair day." "Anyways tell me did you have dinner?" " Nope." She said while sitting on my bed. I walked over towards her. "Then have your dinner and sleep soon."
"You know you have your midterms going on." "So eat well and study well." I said while bending towards her level and pressing my lips on her forehead. Suddenly my phone buzzed.
"It must be Megan, she must be here to pick me up." I said and looked at my phone screen. "Is Megan here?" Kaira spoke as I looked at her. "No it's not her, it's Evan." I said while looking back at my phone screen.

"Yes, cancel my upcoming meetings." "I have to go somewhere" I lied. And with that I cut the call. "Sir, where should I take you?" My driver spoke as I internally smiled and replied casually. "To home." "But don't you have to go somewhere?" He spoke as I raised my eyebrows and looked at him. " Just do as I say!" "O-okay."
And within a few seconds he drove the car further. "Accelerate the speed we have to reach home today, not tomorrow." Hearing me within the next second he expedited the speed.
After half an hour, I immediately got down from the car. "Sir, your bag and files are here!" The driver said. "Tell the maids to get them!" I ejaculated out and walked further towards the entrance of the door.
Instantly taking the extra keys out. I unlocked the entrance door and made my way inside the house. "Ryan, you home?" I saw Jayce coming downstairs. But I ignored him.
And walked further, i tried peeking in the kitchen. A disappointed look countenance over my face. the silence was saying all of it. I sat on the couch. And sadly looked at the entrance. "What happened?" "Since you came home you look abstracted"
"Why isn't Kathy here yet?" I said expeditiously and regretted the next moment. "Ohh I see someone is waiting for- Noo." "I have an important online meeting to attend." "If she will be here then tell her to wait."
I said while standing up from the couch when i decetacted the doorbell being rang.
I was about to walk further to open the door but one of the maids approached the entrance door and opened it. I tried peeking if it was her.
"Noo it's not her it's my pizza." Jayce said while walking ahead of me. "Don't worry she will be here soon." He smiled while taking his pizza box from the delivery man and walking inside the living room.
I snorted out while making my way upstairs towards my bedroom. I removed my coat and threw it on the bed. Walking towards the mirror I observed my reflection on it.
What's wrong with me? Why am I even bothered if she is coming or not?I tried consoling myself but a part of me knew it's not helping. I wanted to see her. Talked to her. Stare into those blue eyes. Keep staring until and unless I won't get tired. Which I won't even ever. Her presence makes me really alive from inside. But she ain't here.
Discarding my thoughts, I immediately grabbed my phone. Since I have her number I can't wait anymore. Should I text her? Or call her? Debating myself for a minute my fingers were moving around the screen.
To call or text? I immediately pressed the button to call. My heart was throbbing in a very inhuman speed. I could detect the rings echoing around my ears. Oh lord, why am I getting nervous now?
