In a shocking turn of events, Williams Racing announced on October 3rd, 2015, that the promising young talent Amalia Schröder would be replacing Felipe Massa for the upcoming 2016 Formula One season. The unexpected decision left Amalia buzzing with excitement and nervousness.

As the news broke, the Daily Mail wasted no time in diving into the story, creating a frenzy of anticipation ahead of the last race in the Formula 3 season at Hockenheimring. The article highlighted her accomplishments at so young but created a wrong narrative of her as a girl in the racing world. Despite Amalia's impressive track record, the article seemed to insinuate that her success was more surprising due to her being a woman, rather than recognizing her as a highly skilled and competitive racer. Also speculating that she was getting help by sleeping around.

As the Formula 3 championship was coming to an end there was immense pressure on Amalia, who was trailing behind fellow rookie Charles Leclerc in the championship standings. With the championship finale looming, Amalia found herself in a nerve-wracking situation. She needed a stellar performance in Hockenheimring to secure a third-place finish in the overall driver championship and, more importantly, clinch the top spot in the rookie championship.

The Hockenheimring circuit was abuzz with excitement as fans eagerly awaited the showdown between the talented newcomers. The tension was palpable in the air as the young drivers prepared for the ultimate battle on the track.

As the cars roared to life on the track, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. Among the contenders, the young and talented Amalia Schröder, known for her precision and skill, found herself in the midst of a fiercely competitive field that included the rising star Charles Leclerc.

The race unfolded with strategic pit stops and daring overtakes, and as the laps progressed, Schröder steadily climbed through the ranks.

In the latter part of the race, a captivating battle emerged between Schröder and Leclerc. The two drivers engaged in a back-and-forth exchange, each attempting daring overtakes and defending their positions with tenacity.

As the race reached its climax, Schröder executed a masterful move, taking advantage of a split-second opening to surge ahead of Leclerc. The crowd erupted in cheers as Schröder's car crossed the finish line to secure a remarkable third-place finish. The unexpected outcome added an extra layer of excitement to an already exhilarating race and left spectators and motorsports enthusiasts buzzing with admiration for Amalia Schroder's exceptional performance.

This memorable race at the Hockenheimring in 2015 not only showcased the intensity of competition but also marked a turning point in Schroder's career. Her ability to outshine a driver as promising as Charles Leclerc underscored her potential as a rising star in the world of motorsports, leaving fans eagerly anticipating her future endeavors on the racing circuit.

The crackling voice of her race engineer, Theo, pierced through the roar of the engine. "Good job, Amalia. That's third position. I repeat, third position," he exclaimed over the radio.

Amalia couldn't believe her ears. "You joking, Theo. You better not be playing with me," she responded, a mix of excitement and skepticism in her voice. "Yes! oh my god, we did it!" she shouted in disbelief. Amalia, overcome with joy and the realization of what she had just accomplished, let out a scream of triumph over the radio that echoed through the team's communication channels.

Parking her car in the bustling parc fermé, Amalia could hardly contain her elation. She swiftly climbs out of the cockpit, adrenaline coursing through her veins, as she stands atop the nose of her race car, she raises her arms triumphantly, looking up to the sky.

Amalia gracefully descends from her car. With a beaming smile and a twinkle of disbelief in her eyes, she sprints towards, jumping into where her team awaits. The air buzzed with excitement as mechanics and team members cheered.

Amalia, still catching her breath from the exhilarating race, embraced her team with infectious enthusiasm. High-fives, hugs, and words of congratulations were exchanged amidst the celebratory atmosphere.

Amalia took a deep breath, trying to compose herself in the quiet cool down room. The fluorescent lights above flickered faintly, casting a subtle glow on the damp floor. The room was echoed with the distant sounds of cheering fans. Amalia sat in the corner away from the cameras, taking a moment for herself. As tears of happiness and sadness rolled down her cheeks.

Of course, she was overcome with happiness in her first year in Formula 3 she managed to place third overall and secure a Formula 1 seat with Williams Racing, but on the other hand she had sadness in her heart as her older brother wasn't there to celebrate it with her.

She let her mind drift to the memory of her older brother Axle. He had been her biggest supporter, her mentor, and the one who had fueled her passion for racing from the beginning. Axle was the one who introduced her to the world of karts and cars.

Amalia couldn't help but smile through her sadness. She knew Axle would be so proud of her. The thought of his infectious grin and the encouraging words he used to share with her echoed in her mind. "You've got this, sis. Show them what you're made of," he would say.

She wiped away her tears with the back of her hand, took a deep breath, kissing the necklace she always wore around her neck that he had given her, and whispering a heartfelt thank you to the empty room, as if Axle were still there, listening. She got up as the other drivers on the podium entered the room and waited until it was time to go up to the podium to collect their trophies.

Leaving the cool down room with the other drivers they headed towards the podium. the sound of the cheers from the fans got louder and louder the closer they got. Climbing up the podium felt like ascending a mountain, and now she taking her place, the cold metal beneath her racing boots. As Amalia stood on the third step of the podium, the nervous energy within her intensified. The cheers of the crowd echoed through the air as she glanced around, unsure of how the world would perceive her accomplishment. The weight of being a rookie and a female driver in a male-dominated sport.

The sound of the winner's national anthem resonated through the stadium Amalia stole a quick glance around the crowd. His beaming face stood out among the crowd, her father, Alexander no matter how busy he got was always there to support her as he was getting older he was at fewer and fewer events but always found a way to watch her and message her right after. Next to him, the face of her mother was missing the one other face she had hoped would be there wasn't. Amalia knew her mother never believed in her or supported her racing career but she had hoped that she would be there to celebrate her daughter's major achievement.

As the national anthem of the winning constructor played, Amalia tried to shake away the thought of her mother and decided to take a moment to relish in the atmosphere of the fans and the crews. Then, the moment arrived. The soft notes of the German anthem filled the air, signalling Amalia's personal triumph in the Rookies championship. The flag of her country fluttered proudly as she stood there, absorbing the significance of the moment. The cheers from the crowd cheered in celebration for the young German driver who had defied expectations and etched her name into the annals of racing history.

As the anthem faded away, Amalia couldn't suppress the grin that spread across her face. She was handed third place and the rookie championship trophies, and with a deep breath, she raised them high above her head.
