Chapter 21: Flying and Family
Kit and I decided to go back to the UK for thanksgiving. My parents were cool with it as long as I was back for Christmas, which wouldn't be a problem since we'd only be there for a few days.
"I'm starting to enjoy this flying thing with you."
"Even the security lines?"
"Fuck the security lines."
Kit chuckled and wrapped his arm around me.
"I'm starting to think you-"
Before I could finish my sentence we were surrounded by paparazzi.
"Alexia! Alexia Kelce! Your song Because I Liked A Boy, is that you're come back to Sienna?"
"Kit! Are you talking Sienna after what she did to Alexia!?"
Suddenly security had came over pushing them away.
"Back away! Back away!" The security guards called out.
We had finally gotten onto the plane, but it was starting to snow about 3 hours into the flight.
"Attention, due to weather conditions we are going to be landing in Greenland until flight conditions improve."
"He's kidding right? We aren't gonna make it."
"It's okay, if we're a little late I'm sure your mom won't care."
"You're right. I'm just over reacting."
I took his hand with a smile.

One hour had turned into three and Kit was panicking.
"Lex, I'm losing it. I cannot sit in this airport anymore!"
"Hey, look at me. Let's go grab some food then we will worry about all this."
"But what if-"
"I have the app up so it will tell me when we're ready to board again."
"Did you know you're amazing?"
"I did, but it makes me feel better to hear you say it."
I smiled kissing him.

We went to the McDonald's since that's the only menu we could really understand.
"How many nuggets did you get?" Kit asked me with a smile.
"10. I almost got 20."
"Can I have one?"
"Of course."
We had finished our food and I got a notification.
"Hey! The plane is boarding!"
"Let's go! Grab your Dr. Pepper!"
He grabbed my hand and we sprinted down the hallway to get back to our gate.
We had gotten back on the plane and we were back on our way to the UK. I had fallen asleep on Kit's shoulder.
We had finally landed in London and had finally gotten on the train to get to Purley.

He had gotten a cab to take us to the house since his parents didn't know we were coming.
"Should we just walk in?"
"I don't know- it's your house."
"You're right. Why am I freaking out?"
I put my hand on his cheek and kissed him.
"Better?"
"Very much so."
Kit had used his key and opened the door.
"Hello?" His mother's voice called out. "Ned, see who's there."
"No way! Kit!"
His brother had pulled him into a hug. Caroline had come around the corner.
"Kit! Alexia! I didn't know you guys were coming!"
She hugged me.
"We wanted to surprise you." Kit said with a smile.
"I'm so happy you guys are here!"
Ned crossed his arms and looked at Kit.
"Since when do you have a girlfriend?"
"We've been together for almost 6 months. You are way behind time."
"Oh! You're the girl Sienna won't shut up about."
"Yeah, that's me sadly."
"Did you know she's dating your ex?"
"I'm aware."
"Kit honey! Can you come here?"
"Coming!"
Ned turned to me.
"Are you using him?"
"What?"
"Are you using Kit? He can't handle another heart break."
"No. I'm not. I love your brother. I promise."
"You don't seem to by lying."
"Because I'm not."
"Lex!" Kit called.
"I'm coming!"
I pushed past Ned and walked into the kitchen to hear Mirrors by Justin Timberlake.
"It's our song!"
He had taken my hand and spun me.
Ned had turned to Caroline.
"Mom, what do you think about Alexia?"
"I love Alexia. I think she's perfect for Kit. Just look at them."
"I don't trust her. I think she's gonna break his heart."
"Ned. She's not Sienna."
"He's so in love with her. This one is gonna hurt him so bad."
"Ned. Go upstairs."
"What? I just-"
"Go upstairs."
Ned has scoffed and went upstairs.
Kit and I had helped set up for dinner.
I turned to Kit.
"Your brother is an ass."
"I told you that." He smiled giving me a kiss on the cheek.
We had sat down and Ned had come back downstairs.
"Is it time to eat?"
"It is."
Food was passed around the table and everyone had talked until a topic was brought up.
"So Kit, what do you think we should do for Christmas?" Caroline asked.
"Oh, I wanted to talk to you about that. I was thinking I'd stay in the US for Christmas this year."
"What? But you never miss Christmas with us."
"I know, but our 6 month anniversary is on the 23rd, so I might as well spend it with Lexi."
"Oh please." Ned spoke up. "Everything is about Alexia now?"
"Yeah, it is. Do you have a problem with that?"
"Mom, did you see the video of him fighting someone over her?"
"I did but that doesn't mean anything."
"You're in America all the time! It's all because of your stupid American girlfriend there. She's probably written songs about you. Her mother is Taylor Swift."
Kit stood up.
"You leave Alexia out of this! Me being in the US has nothing to do with Alexia!"
"You fucking imbecile! It's all about Alexia! You wouldn't even be going there if it wasn't for her!"
"Boys! Please!"
"You have no right to say that!"
"Alexia is going to break your heart. Every girl you've dated has!"
"When are you going to realize that Alexia isn't like that!"
"Kit.." I said quietly.
"If you're going to spend all this time in the US, why don't you just move there!?"
"You know what? I will. That sounds like a better plan!"
"BOYS KNOCK IT OFF!"
Kit scoffed.
"You know what, fuck this." He had gotten up and when upstairs.
"Kit!" His mother said.
"I'll go with him." I said quietly giving her reassurance.
