Today was the Saturday 8, July 2023. Race weekend and today the qualifying in Great Britain, meaning Lando's home race.
"lando, do you think my outfit is great for today?" Maisie smiled as she got out of the bathroom ready to go
"well it's my sweat-shirt so i guess yeah"
"it's mine now"
"don't have you have like your own clothes?"
"not a lot so your clothes are completing it"
"not a lot??"
"yeah" The girl let out a small laugh before talking again "anyway, you're ready now?"
"i think yes"
"you think?"
"i'm ready" he changed his answer, "better?"
"better. And now come on before you get killed because you're again late"
"i'll just say that it's your fault"
"but they won't believe you" Maisie talked as they walked out of the hotel room "they know that if you're late it's just because of yourself and now i'm leaving you because i'm going to see Maria"
"bad girlfriend you're abandoning me"
"you can live without me just a few hours. You're strong i know you can resist"
"haha so funny"
"your fault, you started it" Maisie told him and quickly gave him a peck on the lips "good luck though" she last said and left him direction Maria's room.
Arrived at her room she waited for her friend to finish getting ready and once it was done for Maria her, Maisie with Max and Aarav went to the paddock.
"i hope it will go well for him this weekend" Maisie confessed to Maria, she hoped this weekend was going to be better than every other since the beginning of the season, she knew Lando needed to have a good weekend here and she knew he could do it.
"i'm sure it will go well" Maria commented showing a reassuring smile
Anywho, the girls then went to drink something since the qualifying were still not starting. And just a few minutes before the start of the qualifying they went to the Mclaren garage. There they joined the boys and wore their headset ready to watch the qualifying.
Crazy qualifying clearly.
But once all this was over Lando went back to the garage where he did the things he had to do and whilst that Maisie talked with her friends.
"he did so great oh my god, p2 tomorrow" Maisie exclaimed with a smile on her face
"yes! i can't wait for tomorrow now" Maria added, clear excitement in her voice
"Maisie" Max suddenly interrupted the girls's conversation
"yeah?"
"Adam is calling you"
"okay thanks" She excused herself to walk to where Lando's dad was but she wondered why he was calling her? "Hello Adam" Maisie smiled as she arrived right in front of him
She finally was 'getting used to' calling him by his name. It was really weird to her at first, but now as he every time insisted that she should call him by his name she did so.
"hello Maisie, i called you because Lando wants to talk to you"
"okay thanks, but where is he?"
"his driver room"
"thank you!" She smiled back at him before walking to his driver room. She knocked at the door and immediately he opened the door with the smile Maisie loved on his face
"hey my favourite driver"
"hey my favourite youtuber"
"i'm so happy for you, and so proud! You did an amazing qualifying!" Maisie sincerely said as she approached him
"thank you" Lando said back to her before before wrapping his arms around her waist to give her a hug and she placed her arms around his neck "but you know it's only the qualifying.."
"yeah i know but i know that tomorrow you will do an amazing race. I just know it"
"then i trust you"
"as you should"
He let out a small laugh before quickly planting a kiss on her lips
"and by the way. Your dad said that you wanted to talk to me?"
"yeah, i just wanted to see you that's all"
"okay" Maisie smiled "oh and also"
"yes?"
"We've been together for 7 months now"
"7 months and 8 days exactly"
"7 months and 8 days already, time literally goes by so fast"
"yeah true" Lando brightly smiled at her, he was so happy with her "but i unfortunately have to go now, i gotta do a last quick thing"
"you called me to leave 2 seconds later?" The girl asked and he simply nodded
"but i'll see you just after"
"yeah i know don't worry. Do your things. I'm going to see Maria, Aarav and Max"
"okay, then go ahead. Ladies first" Lando told her, a smile on his face as he opened the door,
"wow a gentleman i see"
"after 7 months it's only now that you see it?"
"7 months and 8 days like you specified it!"
"shut up, don't mock me for being an adorable and incredible boyfriend"
"okay okay, excuse me my adorable and incredible boyfriend" Maisie chuckled repeating the sentence
"i excuse you and i really gotta go. I can see Charlotte looking at me and it is not a friendly look"
"okay, good luck i'll see you later if you're not dead" She told him with a small laugh ready to leave but he first kissed her cheek, "cheesy"
"you like it so shut up" Lando spoke and really left her this time
After that the girl walked back to the Mclaren garage where she saw Maria, Aarav and Max talking, She joined them and they started a complete different subject...
After a while the two girls and the two boys got back to the hotel with Lando this time. But as Maisie was walking with the girl they got interrupted, again.
"Can I borrow her for two seconds?"
"yeah, she's all yours"
Lando then took his girlfriend's hand so that they could go a little further away from their friends.
"so i want to make a proposition to you"
"yes? what is this proposition?"
"tonight i'm going out in a restaurant with my parents and you could come with me?"
"it's between you and your parents, i don't want to bother or intrud-"
"first you should stop talking here because you're never bothering, and second it's actually them who told me to ask you to come with me. So you should accept this 'invitation' because it will make them happy and me happy"
"okay, then yeah i'd love too"
"good because you know either way you wouldn't have the choice and now we have a few hours before 8"
"so if I said no you would have forced me either way?"
"completely"
"good to know then" Maisie chuckled "And then now i'm going to see Maria for my outfit"
"always with her"
"jealous?"
"maybe" He replied earning a laugh from the girl
"well you can stay jealous"
"you're so mean"
"i'll take that as a compliment"
"whatever, i'm going to see the boys then"
"okay" Maisie simply spoke and they both took the elevator together, then split up to head for their friends' hotel rooms
LATER...
MAISIE and MARIA were in Maisie's hotel room right now. Sitting on the bed.
"okay so why are we here now?" Maria questioned, confused about why they came here when they were in her room just minutes ago
"tonight i'm eating in a restaurant with Lando and his parents"
"ohh"
"yeah, and i don't know what to wear. I don't even know if i have appropriate clothes for this"
"just wear something simple, it's not like it's the first time you see them"
"i know but i want to 'make a good impression' you know"
"yeah but whatever you have is fine i'm sure"
"okay, but i still need your opinion!"
"then tell me!" Maria honestly smiled and
Maisie immediately took out of her suitcase two different T-shirts to show her
"okay which t-shirt?" the girl asked, she really hesitated between two random t-shirts. She met them already, a few times but she needed to make a good figure.
"the white one" Maria answered first, "simple but pretty"
"okay, i'm going to change wait for me here"
"i'm not going to leave don't worry"
Maisie then went to the bathroom where she changed into the clothes she just took out of her suitcase and once dressed up she went back to the room, she looked at the other girl waiting for her 'approval',
"you look pretty and ready for your dinner, which is just in 30 minutes"
"thank you! and 30 minutes okay thanks"
They talked a bit and Maria left because Lando was about to arrive..
Immediately they took the road to the restaurant which wasn't this crowded so it was a good thing.
A beautiful restaurant. Lots of wood inside, with some 'vegetation' to add a little style, it looked like a fairy tale with the lights and at some places candles.
Anywho.
Arrived there Lando's parents already were there, talking to one of the waiter. The couple obviously joined them and they quickly sat on a table for 4.
"so maisie life is not too hard by living with lando?"
"it depends"
"it depends?" Lando questioned his girlfriend as he took a shocked look but by doing that he just earned a laugh from her and from his parents
"that's why i love her" Cisca chuckled
'i love her'
Maisie smiled hearing this and looked at Lando for a quick second. He just smiled at her and took her hand under the table.
The day his family and Maisie met he was really glad they got along very well. Whether it's with his father, mother, brother or sisters.
Anyway, the dinner then continued with different topics and they did not talk about formula 1. It was like the 'rule' for tonight, no formula 1 at all which was a great idea.
And a while after they all four went back to the hotel as tomorrow was the grand prix meaning that they had to wake up kinda early.
