As Aera and Suno went in, she she saw her brothers sitting on the couch, everyone focused on the laptop.
As soon as they sensed her presence, Jin said, "Upstairs".
Aera's lips wobbled at his tone.
She was definitely not ready for this.
"Op-", A tiny voice came out of her.
"Aera", A warning was heard in Namjoon's voice.
Suno brought Aera infront of her room.
"Change your clothes, hmm? If you need anything, I will be in the guest room. And baby bird, don't be scared. They won't be mean to you. They are just scared. Be a little patient with them", Suno said kissing her hand and walking away.
Aera closed her door as she laid on her stomach.
She didn't cry.
She wanted to cry, but her tears never surfaced.
She was a person who could cry for the smallest of things.
She knew she was a crybaby.
You can think rationally all you want but emotions won't know rationality.
She wanted to be a crybaby right now.
She wanted to let out her foolishness and fears in her tears.
Her mind kept replaying the same incident again and again.
She saw the truck zoom into her face.
She saw the screeching of tyres as the brake was applied.
She heard the screeching sound.
It echoed in her ears.
If not for Suno, she could have died today.
And she was not at all ready for that.
She wanted to live.
Live a happy life with her brothers.
She had so many dreams to accomplish.
She was not ready for the incident that took place today.
When her mind started to shut down, she felt the pain coming back.
She hissed as she pulled off her pants.
Scratches lingered throughout her legs.
She should be grateful that atleast she had legs.
She took a step forward and it hurted her.
By limping she reached the bedside table.
She didn't have enough strength to go to the washroom to take the first aid kit.
She found some random pain relief cream and tablet.
She really wanted someone beside her right now, but she guessed that her brothers were angry with her.
Honestly, if she was in their place, she would be angry too.
Suddenly the door opened as Jimin came in.
She lightly gasped seeing him.
He looked like he had cried. A lot.
He came in with the first aid box.
He tossed it on her bed.
The first thing he did was hug her tightly and lifting her up in the process.
He wanted to scold her, he was angry with her.
But his anger turned into tears infront of her.
How can he get himself to scold his little girl?
He didn't know.
She could feel his heart drumming against his chest.
She laid her head on his shoulder.
She felt the wetness on her shoulder indicating that he was crying.
Slowly his sobs became louder.
That's when her eyes started to tear up.
That's when she felt herself crying.
Finally, she could cry.
Jimin let her down to stand as he wiped his face with his hoodie's sleeve.
Yeah, it's rare seeing him wearing clothes at home, anyways.
He wiped her tears as well.
"Can I remove this?", He asked taking the hem of her top in his hand.
She didn't react.
He removed her top as his teras resurfaced again.
He pulled her in his embrace once again crying his heart out.
"Do you have any idea what you are doing to me right now?", He most likely threatened her, but his tone was soft.
He got control of himself.
He could cry later.
She's in pain right now.
"Sit down, baby", He mumbled as he helped her to sit down.
He gave her the right tablet and a glass of water.
She accepted it.
"Lie down", He said as she laid down on her stomach.
He rubbed the alcohol over her scratches as she gritted her teeth in pain.
Her palms were fisted tight.
He applied some creams that she didn't know the names of.
He bandaged the necessary areas.
He went to her closet as he brought her shorts and a crop top that won't cover most of her back to avoid irritation.
She wore the clothes as he kept everything away.
He noticed she's keeping her bra on, but didn't question her.
Whatever that makes her comfortable.
"You want anything to eat?", He asked.
She didn't reply or react.
She was just staring nowhere, sitting there like a statue.
He controlled all his emotions for the sake of her and went out.
Within a few minutes, he came back followed by all her brothers.
They were definitely not in a good condition or mood.
Hobi kept a laptop in front of her as he played the cctv footage that recorded everything that happened earlier.
She turned her head away unable to watch it.
In a moment Jungkook was kneeling infront of her, his doe eyes filled with tears.
He grabbed her cheeks as he asked, "Do you know how scared I was? Do you have any idea what I went through as I watched this? Tell me, Aera. Do you have any idea?!", He ended up crying.
He could never scold her.
Never.
He cried hugging her neck, like a little child crying hugging his mother.
Jimin and Tae stood in a corner as others watched him cry.
Aera let her tears out.
"Never ever do this again please. I will lose myself if something happens to you. Please ", he cried.
She tightened his hold on him.
He gathered himself together as he wiped his tears.
He grabbed her cheeks kissing all over her face, aggressively.
He kissed her forehead lastly as he got up and went to Jimin who hugged him tight.
She looked down feeling the intensity of their looks.
She knew Yoongi and Tae were calm although usually they were the one who would scold her.
Yoongi would nag her as Tae would scold her.
Others, would never.
Jin would scold her, but in a funny way that you won't ever recognise that he was actually mad.
Jimin and Jungkook let everything out already.
"So, Aera, you decided to be very brave today. Did you ever think about the consequences?", Hobi asked.
She kept mum.
"Answer me", He sounded agitated.
She didn't move a muscle.
"Answer-", Hobi yelled.
"Hoba! You won't speak to her, in that tone. First cool yourself down and come here", Yoongi threatened him.
Hobi looked at her for a good time and went out.
"You know what? You are grounded. For an entire month. This is the reward for your act of bravery. Congratulations Kim Aera", Namjoon clapped his hands.
For the first time, she nodded her head.
She responded.
She deserved this.
Namjoon looked away as he felt his eyes started stinging.
Jin knelt infront of her.
"Look at me", he said, his tone deadly calm.
It was difficult for her but she did it finally.
She regretted it.
He was disappointed in her.
"Did you see the truck coming?", He asked.
She nodded.
"Did you see by any chance that the cat was injured?", He asked.
She shook her head as she finally broke out into tears.
"If you wanted to do something, you should have told someone. We sent a bunch of guards for that purpose. What you did today was straight foolish and unacceptable. Didn't you think enough about the consequences? Didn't you know what would happen if there was a little miscalculation. Aera, you are irrespons-", Jin calmed himself down.
"Hyung, it's enough", Yoongi said as he couldn't watch her cry.
He sat beside her as he inspected the scratches on her back.
He wrapped his arms around her.
She noticed Tae standing there quietly.
But he noticed something else.
Jin sat on her other side as he touched one of her scratches making her flinch.
"It's alright", He said, this time his tone softer.
He hugged her tightly as he calmed himself down.
She felt someone paying their head on her lap as she looked down to see Hobi crying.
"My heart stopped when I heard everything. Do you know how painful it is for us to even imagine it? You scared the shit out of me. I felt like- I felt like I would lose you... once again", he mumbled the last part to himself.
"We felt like we lost everything. Until I heard you that you are fine, my soul was not with me. I almost died a second death today", Namjoon said through tears as he ruffled her hair.
She opened her arms weakly as the four brothers embraced their sister.
They finally pulled apart, leaving a kiss on her forehead.
They focused on calming themselves down.
Jungkook was still in Jimin's embrace not daring to look at her.
That's when Tae knelt infront of her.
He held her face in his hands as she felt his hands shivering.
"Babygirl, say something. You are scaring me. Call me, oppa. Anything is fine. Just speak", He pleaded her.
That's when everyone's undivided attention focused on her.
"Kitten, what's wrong?", Yoongi asked caressing her arms.
She shook her head crying.
"Speak, baby. Are you angry with us? You can beat me", Tae asked taking her hands in his and slapping his cheeks.
She reached her breaking point.
"Oppa, no please!", She screamed.
Tae breathed out in relief as he sighed.
"What's going on in your head?", Yoongi asked.
"I... I thought I would die today. I am a fool, Oppa. A complete fool. No one is like me. A dumb, stupid girl who doesn't know anything. It's me!", She sobbed her heart out.
"Hey, stop. Stop it. Please, baby. You are gonna hurt your throat", Tae pleaded holding her face tightly in his grip.
"Relax. You are fine now. You are here with us. Nothing happened to you right? You are alive and fine", Namjoon hugged her from the back.
Jin got her inhaler as he was worried at the rate she's crying.
"The image keeps coming in front of eyes. The truck was this close to me. Suno oppa, he saved me. W-where is he?!", She started to panic.
"He's fine. He's sleeping after taking the medicine", Hobi ran his hand through her hair.
All of a sudden she started to breath hard, as her pupils started to get dialed, her body started to shiver.
True to his assumptions, she went under a panic attack.
Jin opened her mouth as he gave three puffs to her.
But this time it didn't work.
"What is happening?! Why is her breath not returning to normal?!", Jungkook asked panicking.
She fisted Jin's shirt in her palms as tears continued to fall out of her eyes.
"She is too shaken up to register anything. Jimin, change the another pill", Jin threw the inhaler to Jimin who ran out.
In the mean time, Jin pinched her nose, cutting off her oxygen supply.
He gave her breaths mouth to mouth, as Yoongi hugged her tight.
"It's fine. You are fine. We are here", Namjoon said caressing her hair.
Jimin ran in while shaking the inhaler.
"That's it, princess", Jin said as he gave her four puffs.
By now, her breathing got improved.
"Can you name a few things in the room?", Hobi asked.
Her eyes roamed around.
"W-watch, desk, shirt", her voice sounded strained and weak.
"Great job", Yoongi kissed her head.
They saw her shiverings reducing as her eyes started to droop.
"I'm sleeping with her", Jungkook mumbled.
She slept with Yoongi's pats and Hobi's hand running through her hair.
"Lay on her side", Jin said as he removed her socks and accessories.
Jungkook laid on her bed as Yoongi laid her next to him.
"Get out. Oldies. Enough of making my baby bunny cry", Jungkook pouted.
They passed him a glare as they left the room.
Jungkook caressed her cheek as he made sure she was comfortable.
He kissed her forehead and cheek a couple of times.
"Bad bunny", he mumbled with a pout.
Others planned for a movie night with her favourite drinks and foods determined to make her forget about the incident.
