"I could spend a thousand lifetimes away from you, and I'd never love another."

His horse galloped through the trees, harshly. Edging closer toward Susan and Lucy.

Distantly he could here hear the low reverberating sounds of men shouting.

He approached swiftly his gaze trailing the men that threatened his wife, he revealed his sword, the blade slicing through the rider that had glared maliciously at his wife.

"I thought I told you to be careful." Susan rolled her eyes with a small smile, as he hoisted her upon the horses back.

"Your supposed to be with the troops in Aslan's How." Enzo chuckled lowly, a sly smirk encompassing thin lips,

"Yes well last time I checked love comes before duty."

They rode harshly returning to where their troops resided, approaching cautiously as they wanted Peter duelling with Miraz.

He dismounted swiftly aiding his wife in her gracious decent, his expression as the sight of his brother in law, limping slowly toward them.

"Lucy?" Susan calmed his anxiousness, her words easing the sinking gut feeling that he was experiencing,

"She got through... with a little help." She smiled at her husband gently, her expression soft as Enzo looked back with a similar look of pride.

Peter embraced Enzo, his words quiet, "Thank you, Brother."

The soldier smiled a hand hovering over his uninjured shoulder, "Well you were busy, your Grace."

A grunt passed through Peter, as he spoke, "You better get up there, I don't expect the Telmarines will keep their word." Susan nodded embracing her brother, as the anxiety clawed at her throat. Both he and Susan retreated into the tomb, a parting kiss as they departed from each other. Susan residing with the archers and Enzo spearheading the main Narnian troops.

Enzo paced anxiously, a wave of relief embracing him, at the news that Miraz was dead albeit not by a Narnian's hand, and that Peter remained alive for the foreseeable future, however that the Telmarine has as expected gone against their word and marched upon Aslan's How with the intention of slaughtering the Narnian people.

He and his soldiers, raced from the underground fortress, the ground shaking as stone spheres were launched toward their people.

They emerged from the ground, the earth caving in as they charged, "For Aslan!"

The battle raged on, the Telamarine troops outweighing the Narnian numbers, however the Narnians still fought proudly, a true testament to their people and to their courage and strength.

Susan faltered, falling from where she and the archers perched with a anguished scream. Enzo watched on anxiously, his chest heaving, until she stood at his side, safe, under his charge once more.

Susan and Enzo fought in perfect tandem, defending one another with a poised profession only managed as a result of years of practice.

The trees emerged, their roots attacking Telmarines with a malicious aggression. They charged at the troops, the now reduced group of invaders absent of their weapons, destroyed by the trees, as the Telmarines retreating to the river, where Lucy and Aslan awaited them.

Aslan's roar oeirced their battle screams, the water emerging in a poised shape, as the body of water removed the bridge, from being a means of transport across the river.

Enzo chuckled stood dutifully aside his wife chuckling heartily at the display. Susan elbowed him gently at the sound, harbouring her own smirk softly, observing her sister.

The battle ended swiftly after the display of power on behalf of the Narnian population, the people ordering the Telmarine surrender as they collected their weapons and removed their armour.

Enzo kneeled before Aslan with the Pevensie siblings and Caspian at his side, the lion smiling fondly upon them all.

"Rise, Kings and Queens of Narnia, and their Protector." Caspian remained silent kneeling with his head bowed until Aslan addressed him directly,

"All of you." The young Prince gazed at Aslans with a small frown,

"I don't think I am ready." The lion smiled with a knowingly stare,

"It's for that very reason that I know you are." He rose standing aside, the siblings, the distant resounding sound of bagpipes, almost prompting a laugh from the Knight.

He fought back the laughter valiantly indisposed to what was spoken, he focused less on their words and more on not laughing an embarrassing loud volume nor in the face of such a solemn tragedy.

Caspian's coronation proved swift and absent of any issues, however a nagging anxiety still lingered in Enzo's shadow.

It's was unfortunately proved true as Susan collapsed upon his arms that afternoon tears clouding her eyes glazing over her eyes.

She told him of her and Aslan's earlier conversation, how she and Peter would no longer be able to enter Narnia.

That truth sparked a raging inferno in the man, he comforted his wife dutifully before pursuing Aslan, as darkness hovered over the landscape.

"If Susan and Peter are no longer welcome in Narnia, what of myself?" Aslan chuckled his eyes gazing at the view from the palace, with a fond glance.

"You will always be welcome in Narnia, Captain Enzo, your duty lies to whomever rules this land, whether or not that may be the Pevensie's. But those ring you wear, around your neck, they may also grant you the freedom to enter Narnia, surly you know that, son of Adam." Enzo sighed harshly leaning against the balcony,

"I had an idea when I opened the wardrobe, and Narnia revealed itself to me. But I have never dared travelled to the woods between worlds. But if Susan cannot enter Narnia, neither shall I willing, surly you're aware of that?" The lion nodded with a soft chuckle,

"I know." The man nodded sauntering from the lions prescience as Aslan remained fixated on the view.

Enzo observed the ceremony with a quiet reserve, his hand intertwined with Susan's,
"How do we know he is not leading us to our death?!"

Peter stood bravely volunteering themselves to leave as and example for the Telmarine people, Susan grip increasing as he spoke,
"We'll go."

Edmunds brows furrowed curiously,
"We will?"

The High King nodded solemnly, "Come on, our time is up. After all, we're not really needed here anymore."

If not for Peter volunteering, Enzo would have contently resided in Narnia, until his last day, his wife at his side protecting the land that had once needed him, however the High King had never failed him.
"I will look after it until you return."

Susan spoke up disheartened, "I'm afraid that's just it, we're not coming back."

Lucy voice edged upon tears as she spoke, "We're not?"

Enzo gaze trailed the floor as they spoke until, Peter and Caspian embraced indicating that it was time to leave, Susan and Enzo walking through the trees as they were returned to Earth, in the very moment they left.
