And old man with a shovel starts talking too him
Old man: Good day young traveller just passing by j can give you a tour if you like if you like it'll be five kammas plus meals on top
Nero just looks at him and keeps walking
Old man: Hey wait!
Then Nero's stomach starts to growl and he stops
Nero turns around blushing slightly: Alight you've got a deal but this better be the best food I've ever had
Nero then pulls out 2 kammas
Nero: 2 now and 3 after at the end
He tosses the coins at the old man who eagerly catches then
Old man: I can love with that The name is Ruel
Nero: Alright the names Nero
The two start walking together
Ruel: so young man what type of business do you do with that sword for yours
Nero: Monster and bounty hunting and judging by the vibe I'm getting off you I'd say you follow a similar path or at least used too
Ruel: You've got a good eye but new young friend, I am still a bounty hunter, but tell me do you kill your bounties
Nero: No I just neutralise them with another weapon I've got on hand plus if I did kill them the bounty is reduced by 30% and I'm not losing out on that kind of money
Ruel: Hahaha you sound just like me when I was younger
Nero: is that a compliment or an insult
Ruel: ugh young people these days no respective it was a compliment anyway what kind of monsters do you hunt
Nero: Hmm any monsters that annoy me or look tasty
Ruel: Hahahaha I see
Nero: Although the truly troublesome ones come in the form of monsters possessed by shushus, most of them provide a challenge depending on the level
Ruel: Hahahaha Ahh yes I can remember my younger days right now as if it where yesterday me and my old friend alepurt faced a bounty who was possessed by a shushu
Nero: so how'd it go
Ruel: we held our own but eventually it started to overpower us that's when the justice knight appeared and defeated it, if he hadn't appeared we'd of been goners
Nero: Justice knight?
Ruel: Ahh not surprised you haven't heard of him since you're so young but what he did was stop the dangerous most dangerous criminal that ever existed and I heard he's training a new justice knight as we speak
Nero: interesting I'd like to cross powers with him someday, testing my strength against a living legend now that sounds exciting
Ruel: BHahahahaha
Nero's eye twitches: what's so funny old man

He then sees Ruel grab a kamma that was lying on the ground that was also being fought over by two tofus (those little yellow birds)
Ruel: now even the birds are out there trying to get rich, ahh my purse gives meaning to my life
Nero then sees him trying to give the same thing to two women who where passing by one of which looks very familiar
Nero: (she couldn't be her sister could she Nah that'd be way too weird even for me)
The two bounty hunters walk into the inn
Ruel barges in: Mr mayor good day
Slightly younger man: Well I'll be a greasy gobball Ruel Stroud come to pay your tab and whose your friend
Nero: I'm a sucker he offered me a tour and meals and now I feel like I've been scammed
Ruel: hey! I got you here didn't I! And Albert it's a lovely day please don't go spoiling it for me
Albert hugs him
Albert: it's good to see you, you old coot so what have you been up too
Ruel: oh you know another day another kamma, you where so right alibert I life with a shovel is no life at all I was thinking of hanging mine up too and opening a restaurant in Banta or maybe put together a gobbowl team
Alibert: but just as you where about to take the kammas from your pocket you got cold feet right
Ruel: Oh! I see I open my heart to you and what do you do you just make fun of me
Alibert: hahaha same story you old crook you've told it too me everyday for the past ten years! Yugo, add a plate of gobbal stew for this poor enutrof
Nero: Make that two bowls put it on this guys tab, oh and something for this little guy
Kowaru yips
Alibert: Got it TWO BOWLS AND SOME MEAT PLEASE YUGO

Ruel: Hey! What did I do
Alibert: you scammed a hungry traveller I think that earns him a free meal
Nero: you're a good man
Alibert: and my son makes good food
The three laugh it off
Ruel: your gonna have to tell me about the mother of that kid of yours, hey tell me it wouldn't be that cute little eniripsa from amakna who treated your wounds would it, falis, folus, folis
Alibert: Phyllis Heh if I tell will you pay your tab plus this Yong mans mea, as well
Nero: call me Nero please
Ruel: oh there we go again you're really obsessed aren't you
Nero: what with getting the money you very clearly owe him I'd assume so
They all hear a lot of crashing
Ruel: you sure everything's ok back there I don't want you little kid wrecking my meal you know
Alibert: Yugo has his own way of cooking, very unique, but trust me he'll make a worthy successor
A little kid then emerges from the kitchen blanching four plates four bowls of stew and a big slab of meat two on each arm and then the meat on his head
He expertly throws two of them
The third bowls comes flying at Nero which he catches and gives Yugo a smirk and a thumbs up
Yugo then tosses the meat with Kowaru grabs from mid air and finally he shoots the last one which hits Ruel right in the face causing Nero to choke on his food in laughter
Yugo: 3 out of four not bad huh Hahahaha
Nero: I like you kid, this food is great
Yugo: thank you, it's the speciality of this place
Alibert gives Ruel another bowl: there you go sorry about that again thoguh id be a lot more sorry if you actually paid for the meal
Ruel: I forgive you, all artists can be forgiven alibert and you are the greatest artist of them all
Alibert: more of your flattery eh alright I'll get you some desert as well as some for our traveller friend here
Nero: Much obliged
Then there's a lot of shaking
And a big monster with long red hair walks in it has a weird eye on its forehead and it's dressed like a kngith
Monster: Destroy! It's time to destroy!
But Yugo throws a napkin over his head
Yugo: Hey you Look at the mess you've made, if you think I'm gonna clean up after you, you're crazy
He goes to punch Yugo but then kid is gone and the is on the monsters head
Nero: Heya big guy you disturbed my eating so you're going to pay, Hey kid wanna give me a hand
Yugo: sure tell me what to do
Nero nods: this thing is a shushu an evil spirit trapped in an object thoguh they are also referred too as demons
Nero charges the monster and starts wrestling with it locking it in combat
Ruel: wow that kid is matching it in raw strength
Nero: HEY YUGO NOW GRAB THE EYE ON ITS FOREHEAD
Yugo: ON IT!
The boy creates a portal beneath him and then another one peters right above the monster and Yugo appears out of it
He grabs right onto the eye ball on the forehead and a sword appears on his hand
And the monster shrinks down to reveal a red headed young warrior
?: there's something I absolutely must tell you
But then he falls asleep
Ruel: well kiddos that was some pretty impressive stuff what was that game of hide and seek you played Yugo I've never seen that kind of magic before and Nero I've never seen anyone be able to hold a monster off like that at your age
Yugo: it just sort of happened, pretty cool don't you think I just discorved it when I was doing the cooking
Nero: as for me I've always been really strong, never really knew why it's caused some complications
Alibert: Yugo, I have something extremely important to tell you when I found you there was a message to tell you it spoke for your powers and your real family
But then they all loom outside to see small black monsters turning people into plants
Nero: Wow never seen those things before
And that's a wrap for the first chapter
