(gwen pov)
mr davis called me saying miles had been hurt.
I wish he would've just listened. he's gonna get killed doing this spiderman stuff.
i hate that i had to quit being spiderwomen. i loved it so much. but it caused me lose my father, my best friend peter, and a lot of my friends.
It took 30 minutes to walk to the hospital. The only thing that sucks about not having my web-shooters is i can't get around easier.
i entered the hospital and went to the front desk.
"i'm here to see miles morales"
"sorry ma'am, only family is allowed"
"she is family"
i turned my head and saw jeff sitting down
he got up out of his chair and approached me.
"oh sorry Jeff, didn't realize you knew her"
"it's okay, come sit down gwen. they're doing some x-rays on miles right now"
i followed jeff back to his seats and sat down next to him.
"thank you for calling mr davis"
"please gwen, you have the honor to call me jeff now"
"oh please, ill stick with mr davis"
we sat in silence for a couple of minutes.
"mr davis"
jeff looked up from his news paper
"yes ma'am"
"y'all can go back there with miles, he's asleep right now but im sure he'd love the company when he wakes up"
"okay ma'am"
jeff put his newspaper down and stood up.
"come on gwen"
we walked back until we reached miles room.
jeff went in but i stopped.
"mr davis, i don't know if i can go in, i don't really wanna see him like that"
"gwen, he needs you. but go take a walk around to halls for a minute. Then come back when you're ready"
"thank your mr davis"
i started to walked around the halls taking deep breaths.
while i was staring at my feet i bumped into someone.
"oh im sorry" i heard a man say
i looked up to see this redheaded guy.
"no im sorry, i wasn't paying attention"
i picked up his empty cup from the ground and handed it to him.
"thank you, i'm harry by the way, harry osborn"
"oh yeah, you're norman's son"
"in the flesh" he laughed
"why are you here harry?"
"i got something called Oshtoran Syndrome, got it from my mother"
"oh im sorry to hear"
"yeah they're doing "treatment" but nothing really helps"
"it was good meeting you harry"
i turned around.
"wait, i didn't get your name?"
"it's gwen stacy"
i headed back to miles room and knocked quietly on the door.
"come on in"
i entered to room and a few people were in there.
"hey gwen" ganke said
he came up and hugged me.
"how you been ganke?"
"i've been good"
a tall slim guy walked around ganke.
it was hobie. I knew miles was crazy about thinking hobie was the prowler.
"hey gwen, been a while"
"hey hobie"
"sorry about miles, i know yall two love each other."
"thanks hobie"
hobie turned to jeff
"im sorry about this mr davis"
hobie hugged jeff.
"you've been a good friend to miles, just know you are always welcome for dinner too"
"thank you mr davis, i'd love to stay but i better leave duty calls"
"bye hobie" we all said
hobie left the room and we heard a yawn.
miles was awake.
i ran up to him and practically jumped on him to hug him.
he kinda jerked when i hugged him
"watch the ribs" he said
"oh sorry!"
i let go of him and ganke and jeff said somethings to him.
we all turned to the door when a there was a knock.
the doctor came in and sat down.
"ok mr davis, your son is very lucky. x-ray told us no broken bones"
"holy shit! excuse my language kids. that's incredible"
"but he does have a lot of bruising. which is still gonna cause some pain. i recommend taking pain medication every 6-7 hours."
"ok, that's not to bad miles" jeff said while rubbing miles hair.
"yep not to bad"
i could tell miles just wanted to leave the hospital
"we are gonna keep him overnight so i will get a nurse to bring something in for the pain, but yall are free to leave him here or 1 person can stay. we usually don't allow people to stay overnight but ill make a exception"
"thank you doc"
the doctor left the room.
"you can stay with him gwen if you want"
i looked at miles and he shook his head.
"yeah okay, i will"
"thank you for being here gwen"
jeff gave me a hug.
"bye kids"
ganke and jeff left the room and know it was just me and miles.
"dumbass!" i said to him
"please don't yell, i have a headache"
"sorry, youre right, but still you are a dumbass, what did i say would happen"
"that i would get hurt or killed"
"listen, this shit matters to me gwen, i need you to understand that. i'm not just gonna give it up. new york is my home. i'm the only person that can truly protect this city. and also someone is dressing up as my dead uncle!"
fuck he's right. i'm way out of line at this point. he's to stubborn to even listen to me. I'm right but i'm wrong. miles clearly loves being spiderman, i can't try to force him to quit. being spiderwoman is in the past for me. Doesn't mean i have to try to get him to quit being spiderman.
"miles, im fucking so sorry. i realized how much being spiderman means to you. i was being a bitch to you and i apologize"
"theres no need to apologize, you care. that's why you were trying to get me to quit. you care about me and my health. i get that you don't wanna be spiderwoman anymore which is fine. i'll always love you so much"
"can you sit up real quick"
"yeah why" he said while sitting up
i grabbed his hospital gown and pulled him in for a kiss.
while we were kissing we heard a women clear her throat.
i turned around really quickly and the nurse was standing there with his medicine and a cup of water.
"this is for you sir"
she handed miles the medicine and water and rushed out of the room.
we both started dying of laughter.
"that was really embarrassing, but it was so funny how she fucking rushed out of the room" miles said
"i know right, now be a good boy and take your medicine"
miles took his medicine and i sat down on end of the hospital bed.
"so who did this to you"
"hobie, the prowler"
"hobie and the prowler or hobie, the prowler?"
"hobie, he's the prowler, i told you this"
"oh shit, he may have been here"
miles shot up
"he was here?"
"yeah, he came and said how sorry he was this happened to you, he even hugged your dad"
"that son of a bitch has the audaci!-"
miles winced and grabbed his ribs.
"miles just calm down, you'll get him. i know you will" i said as i grabbed his hand.
"yeah, i will"
i stood up and went to the side of him the couch was on.
"you need to sleep"
"no i don-"
i cut him off by giving him another kiss.
"now go to sleep, i love you miles"
"i love you too gwen"
