~~Breaking News..
The former idol, Sana Minatozaki, passed away due to an accident this morning. She was being transferred to the Cheongju Women's Correctional Institution, after her controversial court case ended in a 2 year prison sentence yesterday evening. The prison bus that was transferring her from the detention center in Seoul, got flagged by a few unidentified vehicles just outside of Seoul.
According to the police spokesperson, the unidentified vehicals were trying to make the prison bus stop and during an attempt to avert them, the bus driver had lost control of the vehicle, which had resulted in it being crashing against a nearby structure. The bus was immediately caught fire and police had now confirmed that out of the 5 people inside, only one was able to survive.
All 4 bodies were recovered post the fire and were identified. The police were able to arrest a few of the passengers from the unidentified vehicles and upon investigations, it was revealed that the attack was ordered by Sana's uncle, the mafia leader whose drug trafficking crimes Sana was accused of being an accomplice.
The funeral proceedings of the idol is yet to be announced but a representative from the family confirmed that it will be a strictly private event. Fans in Korea and around the world are mourning the loss of their beloved idol and we see hundreds of memorial ceremonies being organized. Despite being associated with criminal charges, Sana was still very much loved by her fans and they were eagerly waiting for her return after serving the punishment.

Taehyung watched the news report with sad eyes. This has been the news of the day and every broadcasting station has been running a similar story for hours now. Taehyung was with mixed feelings. The public may never know the true nature of Sana's crimes but Taehyung, and people around him knew. While Taehyung was able to escape the death sentence she ordered for him, two other people lost their lives. Innocent people, who were just doing their job of protecting him.
But even so, he couldn't help but feel a little sad for the way her life ended. She had a bright present and a future, and was loved by millions. And anyways, who's to say what people might do when they get heartbroken. Everyone reacts differently to different circumstances, Taehyung won't be as presumptuous to say he understands.
For a long while, he had this animosity in his heart for her. And while he knows that it's completely justified, he doesn't want to have it anymore. What's the point of thinking bad of a person who was no longer alive?
Jungkook, of course, was a little more at ease with the situation. He's not a one to wish death upon anyone, but he couldn't help but think it was deserved. He wouldn't exactly call himself 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' guy but if the universe is handing out appropriate punishments, who is he to question that.
The main thing right now is that she is no longer in their lives. And that's more than enough for both of them.

Taehyung was discharged from the hospital about a week after Sana's incident. He still had physiotherapy every other day and a therapist, vetted by Seokjin, is coming to his house for it. He also had a nurse and a cook, helping him with his daily living. Jungkook wanted to take care of Taehyung himself, but he had prior scheduled arrangements which could not be postponed. They also decided that it would be better for Taehyung to have company around the clock, to avoid a similar boredom he suffered with his shoulder injury.
The main difference now is that since the world is aware of their relationship, Jungkook can freely interact with Taehyung. Whenever he doesn't have a schedule, he stays glued to Taehyung's side. Jimin is another person who seemed to be at Taehyung's apartment all the time, often paired with Yoongi, who is, between projects at the moment. Hoseok was a regular at Taehyung's place too, as he usually spent a few hours there after dropping Jungkook home.
Seokjin would frequent the place whenever he can, but the most surprising addition to their friends circle was Namjoon. Taehyung had taken an immediate liking to Namjoon, being fascinated with his knowledge about the world. Namjoon had this depth to the way he talks and the way he carries himself, which was drastically different from the fast paced and bubbling energy he seemed to radiate as an intern at the hospital.
Him and Taehyung can often be seen having serious conversations about the most mundane stuff, both being so intrigued by each other's viewpoints. Namjoon was a rational thinker, always basing his opinions on proven facts. And Taehyung… Well, he was a dreamer, mostly focused on the beauty of things, rather than the science behind it. They were an unlikely, but a perfect match.
And Seokjin couldn't be happier..
After the confrontation with Seokjin's father, Namjoon had started to pursue the elder doctor with a new found faith. He would have never thought so, for he was always in awe of Seokjin and a little tongue tied in his presence, but their relationship dynamics turned out to be actually opposite.
The more they started to interact, the more it was clear that Seokjin is an absolute softy. He was someone who had yearned for tender love for years, someone who craved companionship and some pampering as well.
And in the most natural way, Namjoon rose to that challenge. He was ever so patient, ever so giving, and little by little, he melted the ice fortress Seokjin had built around his heart. He got the elder doctor to open his heart to all the little hopes and desires he had deep within his heart, but never dared to voice aloud.
Hell, he got Seokjin to a point where he would blush simply by walking past the intern. All the people in the viewing vicinity were left open-mouthed when Namjoon stopped Seokjin by grabbing his wrist and asking whether they were still good for the dinner that night. And a red-faced Seokjin answered that 'yes, they are. But he might be a bit late since he has a late consultation to attend'.
But as Namjoon replied saying that he'll wait and that Seokjin can spend the night at his place, that's when the entire ward went berserk. Things were dropped, squeals and gasps were heard, and many peoples' Jaws were on the floor.
Seokjin, so out of character, gave a blushing nod, before pulling his hand from Namjoon's grip and going for his rounds, as if they just didn't create a storm in the entire oncology department.
After a few months later, everything turned back to normal. Except for one change. Jungkook and Taehyung were publicly dating. They were going on outings, sending food and coffee trucks to each other, flirting on screen when both attended various events in the industry.
The public's opinion was mostly favorable. Of course, there were still haters, fans who wanted some other things or someone else for their celebrity, or the general public who were simply homophobic. But neither Jungkook not Taehyung gave a shit about it. They were happy and in love, and it's all that mattered.
Within hours after the press conference confirming their relationship, Jungkook's father called him. As usual the elder Jeon spent a few minutes talking about mundane stuff, and Jungkook listened with a heavy heart. In any other circumstances, Jungkook wouldn't expect an acknowledgement from his father. He knows that's not his style. But today, he wanted it. He wanted his father's reassurance that things were okay between them. So when the call was nearing its end, Jungkook voiced his worry.
"Dad?"
"Hmm? Yes? What is it son?"
"D-did you.." Jungkook took a deep breath and calmed himself. "Did you see the press conference today?"
"I did."
Jungkook waited for a few seconds but his father didn't say anything else. "A-and?"
"Hmm.. do you remember Mrs Jo? The one who lived near the village library?"
It took Jungkook a few seconds more to even understand what his father was saying. "Huh? Yeah, I remember her."
"Well, there is this secret herbal potion formula that has been passed down in her family, which is said to have miraculous healing powers. I'll ask her to make some for your... that man of yours."
Jungkook felt like a huge burden got lifted off of his shoulders and he couldn't stop the relieved sob that slipped past his mouth. Taehyung, who was sitting next to Jungkook, looked at him with concerned eyes. Jungkook grabbed his hand and pressed it over his cheek, seeking the warmth of his fiance to ground himself from the immense happiness he was feeling.
"T-thank you, dad." Jungkook's voice was nothing more than a whisper. "I'll send someone to pick it up."
Elder Jeon sighed. There was a few seconds of silence, before he spoke up in a soft voice. "Kookie?"
"D-dad?"
"If I ever made you feel like you couldn't talk to me about… anything.. I'm sorry."
"No, no." Jungkook was quick to reassure. "You never did that. I was just.. scared."
Mr Jeon chuckled. "Isn't that the same thing, son?"
"I- I don't know."
"Well, just know that for me, you and your happiness is more important than anyone else's opinion. That's the only way I'll be able to face your mom when I finally meet her in the afterlife."
"Dad.."
"It's okay, son. Everything will be okay."
And Jungkook wholeheartedly believed that..
Things will definitely be okay from now on..

This was actually supposed to be the last chapter, the epilogue, but there are a few more scenes which I thought needed their own highlighted chapter.
