"Well, what do you think?"
Helio sighed, both hands on either side of her head and allowing it to fall back on to the hard brick wall.
"If you're interested, I am." She replied, a weak smile strung across her face.
Benzo nodded, his thumb and pointer finger cradling his chin.
"Okay.." He continued, unable to form words. "We'll uh-" he paused ever so awkwardly.
The tension was so terrible. For fuck's sake, they're best friends. Have been for years, since they were toddlers!
"We can come back tomorrow." He looked at her, he carefully observed her features. She looked awfully tired.
"You should.. Get some rest." He suggested.
They hadn't realized, but they spent almost the whole day in there. The sun started to set, making space for the moon and doing its laps. They headed back to base, in hopes of being able to find their way to sleep.
