"So tell me, Nari. How's everything recently?", Choi Hana asked her friend.
They had been friends for a long time, but life had drifted them apart eventually.
They happened to meet each other recently.
They had decided to catch up on everything at a cafe on a weekend.
So, here they were enjoying the food as well as catching up.
"It was alright for me until everything changed drastically. You know, I had a stable job, good income, and a good lifestyle. Last week, my boss asked me to sleep with him. He even touched me. I resigned. I'm jobless right now. I didn't know he was that kind of person. Can you believe it, Hana? He's already married. He has two kids! Like, I don't understand anything, Hana. But I'm sure of one thing. Men are assholes. They are all the same. Every single one of them", Nari ranted the things on her mind.
Hana caught her friend's hand.
"I'm so sorry, Nari. I know it's hard, but believe me, you'll be back on the track soon. I know these kinds of douchebags are everywhere. Don't lose hope", Hana said.
They were silent for some time.
"Maybe I can help you. You have a good profile and experience in your job. Why don't you apply for the company I'm working in?", Hana asked.
"Where are you working, Hana?", Nari asked.
"K.A & Co.", Hana said.
"Hmm. I have heard about it. So tell me, how is your work going? I hope no one troubled you. See that nothing of the same sort happened to me will happen to you", Nari said.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure I won't face any issues. And Nari, apply for any company under the Kim family. I'm sure you will like it", Hana said.
"Oh, that company is under the Kim family! I heard there were seven brothers. Are they married?", Nari asked.
"No", Hana shook her head.
"Pfft! Hana, I'm not even sure. I faced so much in a company where the boss is a married man with kids. Now, you are saying that you are safe under a company under the control of seven unmarried men? Do you have any idea how vile and disgusting men can be?", Nari asked with a chuckle.
"I know you are hurt. I was hurt too. Can you believe I used to work in a club?", Hana asked.
"W-what?", Nari asked shocked.
Hana kept silent.
"Are you serious?", Nari asked.
"Yeah. Appa was on the verge of death. I needed money to save him somehow. I was desperate. I applied for every job, small or rich. Despite my profile, no one was ready to hire me. I didn't know what to do. Then I made the decision to make some quick cash for the last surgery. I needed money. That's the only thing I thought. I joined a club", Hana said.
"Uncle, is he fine now?", Nari asked.
Hana shook her head.
"He didn't make it", Hana said as her eyes teared up.
"Oh my god! Hana, I'm so sorry", Nari hugged her friend.
"It's fine. Now, I'm used to living alone", Hana said with a smile, wiping her tears, sniffling.
"I thought my life was over. I thought people would use me like a rag doll and pay me for it. It was my first day of work in that club. I don't know, I think all of my life's luck was used in that single moment. I met one of the Kim brothers . He stopped my actions and proposed a job offer. That's why I am here now, leading a perfect yet lonely lifestyle", Hana said looking at her friend.
"Nari, I know most of the men are vile. But, we can't blame a gender for a person's wrong doings. I despise, men calling women gold diggers, sluts, heartbreakers and what not. We all are normalising blaming the gender as a whole, despite everything being an individual's fault. I agree most of the men are disgusting. But good men exist too. There are women, who are willing to wait for the right guy, who are not behind money. Give it a chance, Nari", Hana expressed her thoughts.
"You know what? I will apply for the job as well as some other places too. If I get any job, I'm willing to stay with you. Like, Can we live together?", Nari asked.
Hana was shocked.
"Really?", She asked.
Nari nodded her head.
"Then you can move in today!", Hana said excitedly.
"No. Only after I get a job", Nari shook her head.
"You will get a job. Don't worry about that. I'm living in the apartment I bought. So you don't need to worry about any payments. Please say yes. You are moving in with me", Hana urged her friend.
"Okay", Nari said.
"Yes!! Okay, do you-", Hana stopped midway.
Her eyes were wide looking at something.
"What's wrong?", Nari asked.
"I think you have some luck today. See, one of the Kim brothers is entering", Hana said.
Nari followed her gaze and gasped.
"Holy smokes! He is hot", Nari said.
"Yeah", Hana said.
Namjoon entered in the cafe with a grumpy look.
His little siblings fooled him in a game to get him a large pile of food for them.
He couldn't handle the betrayal, especially from his sister.
Oh yeah, how could he forget, that the sister of his can do anything for food.
She wouldn't even hesitate to sell him for food.
He gave his order.
The cashier was shocked to see the list that was at the length of her whole hand.
He sat at a table and started using this phone.
"So, you like any of them?", Nari asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"No", Hana shook her head.
"Aye, don't lie to me", Nari teased her.
"Nari, I'm gay", Hana whispered to Nari, all embarrassed.
"Holy sheeeet!", Nari cursed out loud.
"Ok, um, so, don't fall for me, alright?", Nari said laughing nervously.
"Dream on, Nari. You are not my type", Hana said with a smirk.
Soon enough a waiter came there and offered them drinks.
They looked confused.
"We didn't order anything", Hana said.
"Earlier, a man paid us to serve you these drinks", The waiter said.
Hana looked around.
Namjoon was not there.
She smiled and accepted the drink as Nari started to have some faith for people.
"Kids, come on!", Namjoon shouted as he carried the bags full of food.
He could hear footsteps running down the stairs.
"Let's go baby!!", Jimin shouted as he began to open the bags.
Taehyung and Jungkook followed him shortly.
Namjoon swore, they were drooling.
He smiled at them.
He was watching them for a while, satisfied seeing them eat with glee.
That's when realisation struck him.
"Where is she?", He asked.
The others froze.
"She was waiting for you. I think she slept", Jimin said keeping the food down.
The youngest two kept everything down, as they didn't want to eat without her.
"I will bring her", Namjoon said as he ran upstairs.
He entered her room, to see her sleeping like a baby hugging a pillow.
"Little one, wake up", Namjoon pulled her shirt down as he tapped her cheeks.
"Wakie wakie!", He shook her body.
"Hmm?", She stirred in her sleep.
"Wake up, let's eat", He said lifting her up in a sitting position.
"You got ice cream?", She asked as her eyes half opened.
"Yes, baby. I got everything you said", Namjoon smileed as she leaned against him.
She sat there quietly for some time.
"Wait Oppa. I'll come", she said going into the washroom.
Soon she came out refreshed.
"Let's go!", She caught his hand and dragged him downstairs.
"Alright", Namjoon ran behind her.
The others were waiting for her.
As soon as they saw her they began devouring the food again.
Aera took a bite and moaned at the taste.
"It's delicious", she kept stuffing the food in her mouth, until she looked like a squirrel.
"Hey, eat slowly. It won't run away", Namjoon scolded her, getting her a glass of water.
After gulping everything down, she said, "No water in between food. Water will fill my stomach. How can I eat then?", Aera said taking another huge bite.
"Okay, Ms. Genius. Now eat quietly", Namjoon said.
Then she realised something.
She offered Namjoon a bite, which he refused.
"Oppa, he is not eating", she complained to the three.
"Hyung, eat something. We can't finish it all", Taehyung said.
"Yeah", Jungkook mumbled with a full mouth.
Namjoon shook his head as he took some fries for himself.
"You are spoiling them, Joon", Jin said leaning against the door frame of the meeting room.
"Who will I spoil then?", Namjoon questioned.
Jin smiled as he looked at his siblings.
He was happy and satisfied.
