The day started with Luffy showing me his drawing he worked on for our flag.
"It's cute." I say to Luffy not wanting to hurt his feelings on how crooked it was.
He smiled sweetly at me and asked everyone else their opinions.
"It's unique." Zoro says and I nod my head at him. He was right, it was very unique.

We arrived to Gecko island because Zoro broke the boat so we were slowly sinking. Once we set foot we tried to make up a plan.
"Alright the plan is to find the boat of our dreams." Luffy says as he looks at the three of us.
"Which one are we looking to take?" Nami asks as we all look at the different boats.
"You mean buy? We are not stealing." I say to Nami and Luffy nods his head in agreement. Nami and Zoro both roll their eyes.
"Nami, Zoro. We are not stealing from these people. I can go see if I can reason with any of them. Poor folks aren't that bad you know." I say to them and go to find a dealer.
Luffy following me closely behind while Zoro and Nami stay behind a little.
Luffy and I were looking around and Luffy stopped me, "Kailani, this is the one." He says as he quickly goes to touch the tip of the ship. It honestly looked so beautiful.
I nodded my head in approval.
"Looks like a catch." I say to him smiling. "Isn't she beautiful?" A guy says as he appears out of nowhere on the ship.
"She is." Luffy says and when I look over to him I noticed he was looking at me then we both quickly look away from eachother and I blush.
"I meant the ship.." the guy on the boat says causing Luffy to say quickly, "I did too. How much for it? This ship is perfect for us." He says to the guy.
That's when Zoro and Nami appear and did not look impressed.
Usopp wanted us to believe that he was the sales man for the ship. Even I wasn't buying it, only Luffy was.

"Wow, this place is amazing." Luffy says as we all look around the palace in aw.
"This reminds me of how segregated rich and poor people are." I say as I roll my eyes in annoyance.
"Yeah your island was pretty segregated. I'm sorry about that Kai." Zoro says in an attempt to make me feel better except he seemed more sarcastic then apologetic.
Once we got inside we were introduced as Usopps crew, which we just went along with since we wanted to take advantage of the resources.
"How many damn clothes does one girl need damn" I say as I look at all the different outfits that Kaya had.
"I hate rich people." I add as I jealously go through her clothes.
"What do you think of this?" Nami asks as she comes out of a pretty dress.
"You look great." I say, "you look like Nami." Luffy says. We both said it at the same time.
She rolls her eyes at Luffy, "thanks." She says to me and goes back to change.
"I think you should wear this." Luffy says to me as he tosses me a black dress.
"You think this would look good on me?" I ask him and bite the inside of my cheek.
"I think you would look good in anything." He says honestly, and I blush.
I go to change, and when I come out I did actually look really good in it.
"Do I look like Kailani?" I ask and giggle as I spin around.
"Yes." Luffy says then Zoro replies, "no, you look like an actual girl now. Who would of known you were pretty." I roll my eyes at him.
"I'll take that as a compliment." I say to him and smile at the both of the guys.
Once the dinner finally came along I say between Usopp and Luffy.
I couldn't help but notice how weird the butlers were, I know she pays them but she doesn't pay them to be too fake.
"You must have your soup, you can't have fish." The butler says to Kaya and we all shake our heads.
"It's her birthday, she should be allowed to get what she wants." I say to the butler and he rolls his eyes at me.
"Trust me girl, I know what's best for Kaya." He says as he still gives Kaya the soup.
"Uh, Luffy. Didnt you have something to as Kaya?" Usopp asks and Luffy nodded his head.
"Ah yes, Kaya. We would like to buy one of your ships. We are pirates and must have it for our journey. We've even defeated a lot of pirates already. We are in search of the grand line. We promise to take care of your ship and treat it as our own. So what do you say?" Luffy says as he just gave a whole speech.
Kaya was about to say something but the butler stops her. "That's it, everyone out now. You 5 are to leave now." He says to us. "None sense, it is late. They should stay the night." Kaya says letting us get escorted into our rooms for the night.
I mean I wasn't going to say no.
As I got escorted by the butler I couldn't help but to wish Luffy was put in the room next to me, but I got Nami instead. Which is fine, but I just liked Luffy more. We got along the best, I just felt like he understood me the way nobody else did.
He threw me into the room and I grumbled in response. "No need to be rude about it." I say to the butler as I tried taking the dust off my clothes.
He just rolled his eyes in response and I huffed.
He shut the door behind me and I tried for the door but it was locked. I began banging on the door and yelling for someone to open the door.
I did not enjoy being trapped inside a room I've never been in before. "Help! Help! Someone, Nami? Zoro? Usopp? Luffy? Anyone help!" I yell out for someone to open my door.
It was no use, nobody could hear me. The palace was big, I then began scanning the room for possible escape routes. That's when I heard a familiar voice that was Nami.
"NAMI! HELP! My door is locked! Help!" I say as I bang on the door and I hear her foot steps stopped.
"Kai? Is that you?" Nami asks and I reply. "Yeah! Nami, can you open my door please. The butler trapped me in here." I say to her and she opens the door.
"Oh, Nami. Thank you so much. I don't know wha- is that what I think it is?" I ask her as I look down at a half full pillow case.
She looks at me sheepishly, and I quickly grab a pillow case to join her.
"I thought you don't steal?" She asks me and I shrug, "fuck the rich. They steal from the poor." I say to her and she laughs.
"Now, this Kai.. I can dig." She says as she smiles at me and we both walk out in the hallway and start stealing stuff from the palace.
Suddenly we hear people coming so we quickly hide in the first room we find. Nami and I both cover each others mouths, then go back to normal.
We both laugh silently then we get startled by Kaya, "Nami? Kailani? What are you two doing here?" She asks us causing us to turn around in shock.
"Uh.. good question. Just.." she cuts us off. "What are you doing with that pillow case?" She asks us and we drop it immediately and laugh nervously.
"Don't worry, I'm not mad. I would actually prefer you two have it. I have far too many things already." She says and I immediately felt bad, but Nami seemed unphased.
"I'm sorry. You seem like a very nice girl. I shouldn't of let stereotypes cloud my judgement. It's just that rich people have ruled over my people for too long, I just thought they all were the same." I say to her and I sit on her bed. Nami follows me to sit down too but she doesn't say anything.
"I'm glad I was your first example of not all rich people are bad." Kaya says with a sweet smile, and I return it and I nudge Nami to return one too.
"Why are you so nice to us? We don't even know eachother, why give us the benefit of the doubt?" Nami says finally breaking her silence.
Kaya hmmed in response, "I don't know, I guess a friend of Usopp is a friend of mine."
We both nodded our heads, "so you and Usopp?" I say to her and wink, her eyes go wide and she smiled shyly.
"He and I are just friends, I'm sure you and Luffy must have much more going on between you two." Kaya replies with and now my eyes go wide.
"Why does everyone think there's something between Luffy and I?" I ask shaking my head while blushing and looking down.
"Oh please, even all the villagers in this town can see that you and Luffy share a connection together. It honestly makes me gag, but as long as you two are happy I guess it's okay." Nami says and I don't say anything else after that.
"Oh please, He's our leader. He's friendly with everyone, even you two!" I say to them in one last attempt to get it out of their heads. In all honesty, I wasn't completely apposed to the idea of being with Luffy.
I had never really had feelings for anyone before, nor have I had a boyfriend or a real crush. These were all new territories for me.
"Well, we should go. Catch up with the boys, or just look around. It was nice talking to you Kaya, please just. For your own sake, stand up for yourself." Nami says as she smiles at Kaya one last time and we all wave at eachother.
Once we closed the door we both sighed as we put the stolen items back where they belonged in Kayas castle.
"She wasn't so bad after all. I think Luffy will be right. We can get that deal for the ship the old fashion way." I say to Nami and she nods her head.
"I guess friends aren't so bad after all." Is all she says and we walk to go find something to do.
