WAKING UP AND GETTING dressed knowing you are on vacation is probably the best thing ever.
"evening lads!" mikey exclaims loudly jumping down the stairs.
"evening mikey." she hears most of them reply with small grins.
her mini sundress falling only on her upper thigh, her blonde hair styled in ringlets over her shoulders.
sharky looking at the girl suddenly at her presence, and regretting it straight away, at the fact that he didn't think he could ever stop looking at her.
"who's ready to try snails?" she giggles loudly grabbing her shoes.
all the boys sighed a me, even though they were being forced.
"great! Gabriel is meeting us there!"
with her words, the mood shifted, like a beat drop.
the boys are all side-eye sharky, remembering how he sounded all pissed when he was here yesterday.
mikey did not notice as she opened the front door leading everyone out.
and into the light pink convertible.
Bardot, that's what she named this car.
it is her baby, her pride and joy, no one came before her.
she had it here in france not risking the drive of it in london.
"i missed this thing." niko pats the hood of the car.
"wanna drive it?" her question made everyone turn around.
she shrugs at the looks.
"really?" niko asked gobsmacked.
she laughed shaking her head.
"ha! you thought!" she jumps over the door and into the driver's seat.
niko grumbled going after the boys sitting in the back, sharky in front and the rest in the small back seats, forcing aj to sit on chunkz's lap.
mikey NEVER let anyone drive it but her, this car was her life, and if something happened to it, mikey would probably kill herself.
pressing the gas was like coming home after a long day.
the boys all laugh lowly at her.

"i was talking to bardot." she snapped making him roll his eyes.
the ride to the restaurant consisted of music blasting through the speakers and mikey's hair slapping everyone in the face.
"bonjour." the blond smiles at the worker in the front of the restaurant, the rest standing behind her.
the man at the front smiling at her repeating.
"une table pour 7 personnes, s'il vous plaît." mikey looks to the boys who smiled.

the beach is their view.
sharky jumped to her side as they walked, his hand resting on the girl's waist.
her eyes widening at the touch suddenly.

once the group sat down and opened the menus it was then they saw gabriel walk out.
"hi." mikey stood up, hugging his neck.
sharky gripping onto the card menu, his knuckles turning a peach color.
"okay, so what're we eating." she sets herself back next to sharky as gabriel sits in front of her next to kenny.
mikey took her sunglasses off and set them on the table when suddenly she felt someone touch her face.
turning her head, it was sharky.
"sorry your earring isn't put in right." he cleared his throat while clicking back the jewelry.
she felt herself gulp down her spit before turning back to them.
once everyone had settled down and ordered their food, gabriel was telling yet another story.
the same old stories about how much trouble he got into
when younger.
an hour goes by and everyone is laughing about something aj was talking about.
not everyone, sharky was on his phone and mikey rolled her eyes.

peeking to see with harmless cheekiness, and then straight off she wished she didn't have to be a nosy.

mikey felt the food she was eating starting to taste horrible.
she felt sick.

"mikes are you alright?" nikos voice whispers to her from the right.
she looks at him, hesitantly shaking her head.
"i think i'm gonna go home."
with her words sharkys head moves up, his phone turning off and put away.
everyone's brows furrowed lightly.
"i ordered lots of stuff for the house and they just called saying the rider is on the way." the quickest lie was said.
"you got those salt lamps?" chunkz asks softly.
"yeah, two." she fakes a smile.
"i can take you guys home." gabriel tells the group with a helpful smile.
sharkys eye twitched. he fucking hates him.
"thank you so much gabbie." mikey mumbles gratefully.

sharky sat there, this time his fists unclenching and his eyes softening.
feeling his heart chip away.
his breathing quickening and his heart following.
instead of saying anything, he absentmindedly stood abruptly making his chair let out a screech.
everyone turned their eyes to him confused.
fingers twitching, sharky mumbles "i'll come with you cherry."
the nickname making the girl freeze slightly.

and with that, the two walked to the car in silence. the sky filled with clouds not sunny but not cloudy.
their knuckles grazing each other every big step and sharky noticed how she sucked in her bottom lip each time.
his mind still on the kiss to gabriel.
"i have an idea." the howard girl said loudly over the sound of the air from the car moving.
sharky looks.
"let's go to the beach," she suggested steering the wheel.
the boy didn't know how but he nodded as quickly as possible.
"why not." he grinned brightly.
and like that, he forgot about every worry, every insult, everything bad and just focused on her.
how she parked in an empty area on the beach near their house.
turning off the car and jumping out of it.
the two were quiet but smiling privately.
mikey lifted her dress over her body, revealing the bikini she was wearing.
sharky gulping his spit and forcing himself to look away.
"okay, so the waters are pretty cold." she giggles throwing her mini dress into the car.
"oh really?" sharky for closer.
"yeah so i don't think we should just jump in straight away-"
the howard girl was cut off when she was grabbed and thrown over sharkys shoulder.
knowing he was sprinting full speed to the water.
"sharky!" she screams through laughs smacking his back.
the two screaming and giggling like little kids.
"let's go for a swim, huh cher?" the boy chuckles smelling the sea.
even the circumstances didn't stop her from getting butterflies.
he nicknamed the nickname.
before he could throw her into the ocean he stood ankle-deep in the water, the girl still over his shoulder.
"you're ready?" he giggles gripping her thighs.
she sighs loudly.
"sharky if you dare try to throw me in here, you're going down with me!"
she warns her hands on his lower back and not hiding the smile on her voice.
sharky laughed.
"i go wherever you go."
he says and then launches them both into the water.
the waves crashing added more to the scene, her body and his bumping against each other as they swam all over.
mikey came up and pushed her hair back.
"you cunt!" she yelled splashing water at him.
"oh it's not that cold," he grumbles.
"yeah.. you're right." she admired.
it was quiet.
the only sound was the waves and the birds chirping from time to time.
the two in front of the other.
it felt like that night at the pool.
her cheeks growing red like usual and his smirk growing every second.
mikey felt like the silence was draining.
not knowing when it's gonna end or even when it's gonna take a break.

she was taken aback, gobsmacked her whole life was flashing and it felt almost unrealistic.
mikey felt stupid, like an airhead with the fact that she literally didn't know what to say.
he left her speechless.
she is speechless.
so she did what she does best, run away, or in this situation swim away.
she dipped her body back into the water and swimmer further out.
while sharky huffed not even bothering.
after a while mikey's eyes for drowsy and the water was drying her up.
so silently she got to the shallow end and out onto the sand laying on her back softly.
humming a song slowly her eyes closed and her brows scrunching.
feeling a body lying next to her, knowing it was sharky.
she hates how it's so quiet between them, there's not enough talking at all.
it felt horrible. like a bad bad bad dream.
the feeling felt almost like dripping fruit juice on you and you got so sticky that you got dukky uncomfortable.
this was it.
so being the woman she is, she broke it.
"Remember in high school.." mikey trails off once he knows he is listening.
He turned his head to her, one eye shut and the other open due to the small amount of sun.
"and i was super emotional 'cause i thought you were gonna forget me." mikey giggles to herself.
Then Sharky holds his chest laughing along.
"i never understood why though," he asked.
"i know, it's cause you were hanging out with these new boys and i felt jealous," she says in an embarrassed tone.
sharky grins like a child and blinks at the girl.
"but i still don't know," she mumbles.
he furrows his brows.
"know what?" sharky question confused.
"would you forget me?" the question was so stupid, but mikey felt the need to ask him.
sharky was taken aback, like it was a prank because he knows mikey would never think that.
yet here she was asking him.
"forget you?" he repeats the question.
"I'd rather forget myself." his voice was low and promising.
Mikey's heart ached and her legs went weak at the way he spoke and what he said.
she found it crazy how Sharky always knew what to say and when to say it.
he knew every food thing to state and it fooled her like the fool she is.
"Okay imagine," Mikey's full body turned to him.
her on her side looking at him, and him on his back looking at the sky.
"one day I came home and I'd changed my hair, to bright pink and I wore sunglasses." she giggles loudly and Sharky does so too.
"would you recognize me?"
she remembers asking AJ and kenny this question and they laughed in her face at the stupidity.
so she wanted to know.
"of course," he stated.
she furrows her brows, "really?"
he looked taken aback by her answer and she took note of it quickly.
"come on cherry."
"i was born knowing you." when he said it. it was a whisper, a soft low whisper.
and then he was on his side facing her, making deep eye contact.
not even realizing the small space in between them.
"you're the lovely one." mikey whispers to him licking her lips innocently.
"well then I guess we're both lovely people." he shrugged sassily.
she chuckled while putting her forehead on his chest.
sharky stared.
she's laughing. he told her a joke and she's laughing. he is in love with her.
his hand touched her bare cheek, feeling her skin and smiling.
taking his thumb and touching the edge d her lashes softly.
he couldn't even believe she was real.
"so how's elle?"

sharky clears his throat, "She's good, she found a job at a Sephora i think."
mikey nods and shivers when sharkys hand is removed.
"glad Gabriel is back." sharky nodded quietly.
mikey licks her lips.
"yeah, same. i missed him so badly," she stated.
it was quiet again but this one was filled with answers.
like it was answering the questions that were keeping them up awake at night.
but the two didn't even bat an eye at the signs.
mikey just lying on her side again, inching closer to sharky.
this time his hand shaking around her waist tightly and bjs eyes filled with worry of no reason.
there they lay, on the beach, cuddling and still having the audacity to say they are with other people.
sharkys heart stops and pickers with nerves and his head is filled with overthinking.
her hair touching his skin and tickling him slightly.
but he liked it.
he likes everything about her.
because mikey howard returns like autumn and sharky falls every time.
