Monica Reyes stood on the dimly lit stage, her long blonde curls cascading down her back. The spotlight bathed her in a soft, golden glow, emphasizing her radiant beauty. Her piercing blue eyes scanned the eager audience, a mix of devoted fans and curious newcomers. She was a 24-year-old sensation, Sydney born and raised, and her voice was her most potent weapon.

As she took a deep breath, the hush in the room was palpable. The crowd held its collective breath in anticipation, waiting for the first note to escape her lips. The air was electric with excitement, and Mona felt it coursing through her veins. This was her moment.

With a graceful sweep of her hand, she signaled to the band, and the soft strumming of guitars filled the air. The melody was hauntingly beautiful, setting the stage for Mona's voice to weave its magic.

Her voice was like liquid silk, rich and soulful. Each note carried an emotion that resonated with every person in the room. She closed her eyes, losing herself in the music, her fingers lightly brushing the microphone. The lyrics flowed effortlessly from her lips, telling a story of love and heartbreak.

"Called you on the phone today, just to ask you how you were. All I did was speak normally, somehow I still struck a nerve. You got me fucked up in the head, boy. Never doubted myself so much, like, am I pretty? Am I fun, boy? I hate that I give you power over that kind of stuff"

As she sang, the audience was spellbound. They swayed to the rhythm, lost in the world Mona had created with her song. Her voice soared and dipped, taking them on an emotional journey they would never forget.

"It's one step forward and three steps back, I'm the love of your life until I make you mad. It's always one step forward and three steps back. Do you love me, want me, hate me? Boy, I don't understand." When she reached the climax of the song, her voice reached a crescendo, filling the room with its raw power. It was as if the entire universe had converged on that stage and Monica Reyes was its conduit.

"No, it's back and forth, did I say something wrong? It's back and forth, goin' over everything I said, It's back and forth, did I do something wrong? It's back and forth, maybe this is all your fault. Instead it's one step forward and three steps back, and I'd leave you, but the roller coaster is all I've ever had. Yeah, it's one step forward and three steps back Do you love me, want me, hate me? Boy I don't understand, no, I don't understand."

The applause that followed was thunderous, a testament to the magic she had just conjured.Mona smiled, her heart full of gratitude for the fans who had supported her journey from a Melbourne girl with a dream to a renowned singer with the world at her feet. This was her scene, her moment, and she had owned it with every fibre of her being.

The crowd, a sea of faces illuminated by the glow of their phones, had been with her every step of the way. They had danced, laughed, and cried to her music throughout the night. Now, as she prepared to sing the last song, there was a sense of unity in the air, a shared moment of anticipation.

The band started to play the opening chords of the final song; Vicious, a melodic tune that resonated with everyone in the audience. Mona took a deep breath and began to sing. Her voice was a force of nature, strong and full of emotion. It soared above the cheering crowd.

"One year, ten thousand bad moments. But it was dressed up in heated emotion, and I tried to look for the best in the worst. But like, fuck me, that caused a commotion." As she sang, she made eye contact with fans in the front row, sharing an intimate connection with each of them. The atmosphere was electric, charged with the energy of the music and the love of her fans.

As she began to sing, her eyes scanned the audience. She was searching for a familiar face, one that held a special place in her heart. And then, in the family section, she saw them. Ellie Carpenter, her best friend, and the soccer team mates were there, waving and cheering. It was a beautiful surprise, for it was Ellie's birthday, and they had come to celebrate it together. Sam Kerr was also there, it was no secret to Mona's inner circle she has an obsession with the soccer star. The band played on, and Mona couldn't help but smile as she caught Ellie's eye.

The chorus came, and the audience joined in, their voices blending with Mona's in a beautiful chorus of unity. It was a moment of pure magic, as if the entire venue had become one collective voice, singing in harmony.

"Oh, you're so vicious, Love me, then pretend you didn't. Crush my heart and wreck my image. Why you gotta be so, so, so. Oh, you're so vicious, love me, then pretend you didn't. Half of me just can't resist it, why you gotta be so vicious?"

She gave it everything she had, pouring all her energy into the music. The band played with a ferocity that matched her passion, and together they created a wall of sound that reverberated through the venue.

"Oh, you're so vicious. I loved you but I wish I didn't. If you're out there somewhere listenin',
Why you gotta be so vicious?"

The music faded, leaving only the echoes of her voice and the deafening cheers of the crowd. The audience erupted in applause, their appreciation and admiration for Mona's performance palpable.

"Thank you Melbourne!" Monica gave one last shout into her microphone waving at her fans before exiting the stage, cheers roaring behind her. Mona smiled, her eyes shining with gratitude. She had given her all on that stage, and in return, she had received the love and adoration of her fans. It was a moment she would cherish forever, a testament to the power of music to bring people together and create moments of pure magic.

Monica made her way through the bustling backstage area, she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to find Ellie standing there, grinning from ear to ear, her team mates crowded behind her all sporting Monica's merch.

"Happy birthday, Ellie!" Mona exclaimed, pulling her best friend into a warm hug. "I'm so glad you could make it. How did you like the show?"

Ellie beamed with excitement. "It was incredible, Mona! Seriously, you killed it out there. And the whole team loved it too."

Mona's heart swelled with gratitude. "I'm thrilled you all enjoyed it. Speaking of the team, where are they?"

Ellie motioned towards a group of soccer players who were huddled together a few steps away. Among them stood Sam Kerr, the renowned soccer star and Mona's long-time celebrity crush. Mona couldn't believe her eyes. She felt her cheeks flush with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

As they approached the group, Ellie introduced Mona to her teammates, and they exchanged warm greetings and congratulations. Mona was in awe of the camaraderie and positive energy radiating from the soccer players.

And then came the moment Mona had been both anticipating and dreading. Ellie, with a mischievous glint in her eye, turned to Sam Kerr and said, "Hey Sam, this is my best friend, Monica."

Mona's heart threatened to leap out of her chest as Sam Kerr turned to her with a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you, Monica. Ellie's told me all about you. Your performance tonight was amazing."

Mona felt her cheeks grow warmer as she stammered, "Thank you so much. It's an honour to meet you. I've been following your career for so long, and you're such an inspiration."

Sam Kerr chuckled warmly. "I appreciate that, Monica."

They chatted for a few more minutes, and Mona couldn't believe her luck. She was having a casual conversation with her long-time celebrity crush, Sam Kerr was even more down-to-earth and friendly than she had imagined.

As the night continued, the group moved out of the stadium and to Ellie's house in the city. Ellie's teammates shared stories of their own adventures on the soccer field, and Mona talked about her passion for music and writing. It was a night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and newfound friendships.

First official chapter of the book done! I actually love the general idea of the "singer world" mixing with the "soccer world" so I thought why not write a book about it cause I know you all have a crush on Sammy K.

Let me know your first impressions, don't be a silent reader I want to hear from you.
