Kenji and Rin are walking down the steps
Rin yawns: looks like I survived the first semester
Kenji yawns also: well it only gets harder from here

Rin: you guys are from Kyoto right man that place sounds so cool

Shima: Hey we don't know if we get to go home yet
Kenni sees Izumo and walks over turns out Paku is heading home
Kenji: oh so your heading home for the break huh
Shima: it's going to be lonely here

The gang do the same
Kenji: Hey Izumo you ok
Izumo: huh yeah I will be just a bit sad
Kenji: hey summer will fly by and before you know it you'll be seeing each other

Yukio: I'm sure you are all excited for some vacation well hold off on that because for the next 3 days you lucky exwires will participate in field drill at our academies training camp in the forest of course I will be coming along and so will miss kirigakure

Yukio: now the purpose of this drill is too determine whether or not your ready to go out on missions so stay sharp!
Students: Yes!
Kenji: believe me this drill is pretty fun
Yukio: Ahh yes this drill will also be for Kenji's promotion to the rank of exorcist as for what rank that'll be that depends on how well he does
Kenji: Heh can't let my brother stay ahead for too long

Later in the forest
Rin: yeah this is gonna be rad like a picnic
Shima: I can see us now hanging around a campfire at night learning folk dances
Suddenly a spider appears next to him and he starts freaking out
Kenjj: is he gonna be ok
Konekomaru: Shima's always had a hard time around bugs

Kenji is just casually walking and for some reason he's not carrying a pack
Yukio: during the day the forest is peaceful but at night it becomes a hotbed of demon activity we have to set up base camp before the sun goes down pick up the pace
Bon: look at that guy isn't he hot in that coat
Shura: you heard him get a move on
Shima: uhh mam where's your backpack
Shura: over there
Rin is carrying two packs with absolutely no effort
Shima: Hey Kenji where's your backpack
Kenji: my little pal Draco has it he can store weapons for me but he can also store stuff that I just don't wanna carry it will appear later perfectly intact

Later
Yukio: this'll be our base camp the boys and I are going to start setting up the tents and building a fire while that's happening miss kirigakure and the girls are going to draw a magic circle around the perimeter and get dinner started

Kenji: huh so he can take his coat off, alright I'm going to go and get some firewood

Kenji walks into the woods and summons suzaku

He chops down a tree with one swing he then kicks the log into the air and slices into chunks which he then catches
Kenji: alright that should be enough for now
Kenji is carrying a whole trees worth of wood bakc
He sees Izumo giving him an exasperated look
Kenji: huh what is it
Izumo: nothing just thinking about how I'm surrounded by freaks
Kenji: says the girl that can summon foxes to fight by her side
Izumo: fine fine
Kenji sets up the fire
Kenji: alright Draco wanna take care of that
Draco: Sure!
Draco gives it a little fire
Kenji: alright done here
He then sees rin making them a stew
All: Thanks for the meal!
Bon: wow man this is unbelievable
Shima: if you ever wanted to switch sides you'd make someone an awesome wife
Konekomaru: you really are an amazing cool okumara
Shiemi: really yummy Rin
Rin: oh thanks guys
Yukio: hahahaha cooking is the only valuable skill my poor brother has
Rin: shut it you four eyed mole face
Kenji: it's awesome that I get to eat this stuff everyday

Yukio: ok listen up I'm going to explain the drill
Shura: yeah it's a test of courage I dare ya

Yukio: right here's the rundown I'm going to have you spread out to find and light some lanterns that are hidden within the forest the lanterns are within a 500 metre radius of camp anyone who can keep their lantern lit and bring it back to camp in the next three days will be elligable to go on actual combat missions however there are only three lanterns out there therefor there are only three slots available to go on mission
Izumo: but that means
Yukio: let's talk about the contents of your shoulder bags you'll find three days worth of food water and other necessities you'll also find a compass, one demon repelling bottle rocket and one match
Kenji stops paying attention
Yukio: as for Kenji will he'll be charged with roaming the area to make sure you all don't get yourselves killed
Kenji: that's right
Yukio: and if he manages to do a good enough job under the right conditions then he'll be promoted to exorcist with whatever meister he showed more skill in
Kenji: roger that teach
Kenji is jumping from tree to tree when he sees a spark of blue light he was about to go but he stops when he sees it die down
Kenji: good he's getting better at controlling his emotions although yukio is probably feeling very annoyed and shura is most likely laughing her head off
He keeps moving
Kenji feels himself shiver: (Amaimon is here! I imagine shura already knows)
He sees a demon repelling firework
Kenji: wonder who that was either Izumo or takada
Kenji texts yukio
Kenji: who was that
Yukio: no clue I'll go and sort it out you keep an eye on Rin
Kenji: roger that!
Kenji keeps moving and finds Rin group and watches them work together to get the lantern across a bug swamp
Kenji: nice work guys
He then sees rin accidentally knock over a sealing thing and a huge moth demon appears
Kenji: HA!
Kenji punches the moth right
Rin: KENJI!
Kenji: Guys I've got this you all Run and get that lantern back
Bon: Alright! got it good luck
Kenji: thanks
He dodges the moths attack and waits till they are fully gone
Kenji: alight then TWIN REAPERS
Kenji spins them around and then sends one half flying and it embeds itself in the beasts gut
Kenji then pulls back and sends the beast crashing to the ground he pulls the chain releasing the other half
The grabs onto both and handles and charges the now grounded beast he jumps over it and sends both of blades into the beasts wings before grabbing onto the the middle chain and pulling really hard he hears a lot of cracking and then a massive rip the wings come flying past Kenji as he retracts the blades
Kenji: not so tough now you can't fly huh now it's time to exorcise you
He now has both blades once again and the jumps up an moves the blades into an x position and he lights them on fire
Kenji: CROSS FIRE
And the beast is decapitated
Kenji: not quite as graceful as my other weapons but not bad for the first time
Bon gives him the same speech as he did in the original
Kenji lands back at camp
Just as his old friend Amaimon appears with two demons beside him a god demon and a deer demon
Kenji summons his sword
Shura does the same: DON'T JUST STAND THERE
Rin: SHURA
Amaimon: GO AND GET THEM BEHEMOTH
The dog demon chagrws the deer demon stays by his side
Shura whistles and a wall of fire appears around the camp
Aiamom and his demons are sent flying back
Bon: an absolute Barrier
Shura: you everything inside the magical circle is safe and everything outside is repelled you guys should be safe here for a little while
Izumo: that's all great but what's the deal with that guy
Konkeomaru: yeah miss shura is he supposed to be part of our training
Shima: and don't you think he's a little too tough for us too handle
Kenji: training is done Amaimon is going to attack again soon
Students: Amaimon!
Izumo: do you mean one of the eight kings the king of earth that amaimon
Shura: uh huh and since he's one of the big guns you exwires don't stand much of a chance on your own against him except for Kenji of course
She covers them all in holy water apart from rin and kenji
Bon: what about okumaras aren't you going to splash him with some
Shura: yeah rin is allergic to holy water and Kenji can take care of himself
Bon: allergic to holy water I never heard that one before
Kenji: wait is yukio not back yet
Shura: no unfortunately
Suddenly the deer demon is outside the barrier
Shura: Hey Kenji that demon is named a wendigo it's high ranked if you manage to slay it I can get you promoted to intermediate exorcist second class
Kenji: sounds good to me that deer is going down
Rin: wait Kenji are you sure you can handle this
Kenji: I'll be fine Rin remember we are gonna defeat Satan this is just the first step
Rin gets a determined look on his face: right just be careful
Kenji: I will!
Kenji runs out of the barrier
Kenji: Hey! Reindeer come and get me!
The wendigo starts chasing him and eventually they reach a clearly
Kenji begins to make signs and he starts glowing and then a fiery barrier surrounds the two demons
Kenji: (this barrier isn't too secure so it's not useful for actual protection it's only use is in case like this neither of us can leave until one of us is dead
The flaming barrier death match
Kenji: SUZAKU
He summons his might katana and grips it tightly
Kenji: LETS GO!
