⇨ ✧ 𝟎𝟑𝟒: Eᴀsᴛᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ Fᴀᴍɪʟʏ
MAISIE was stressed.
It was the right word to describe her right now.
Today was the 9th of April so Easter! And Maisie was going to meet Lando's family.
{Flashback}
A few days ago..
"maisie. i have a question"
"yeah?"
"you know in a few days it's easter"
"yeah?" she asked, an obvious confused look on her face. Not understanding where the question was leading
"well as you know i'm going to see my family. and i wanted to ask you if you wanted to come with me? and so, meet my family?"
"meet your what-"
"my parents, my sisters, and my brother"
"i- yeah. I would love to meet your family" Maisie honestly answered. She really wanted to meet them, but she also was stressed. Even though he just asked her
"cool! and i already warned them so.."
"you already told them?"
"yeah, so either way you had to say yes" Lando told her
"that's a trick?"
"yes it ism
{End of the flashback}
"ria i need you. right now" Maisie clearly spoke as she started a FaceTime with her friend
"yes? tell me!"
"so today i'm meeting Lando's family"
"OH MY GOD YOU ARE?" Maria immediately shouted hearing this
"YEAH AND I'M PANICKING"
"why?"
"did you really heard me?"
"yes i really heard you. but i mean you two are together since a few months now"
"yeah but they could not like me"
"you know that's not true" Maria asserted
"i don't know but anyway. I need to choose an outfit, and i need you for that because i literally have no idea right now"
"okay, i'm here to help you then! Show me your wardrobe"
"well i'm actually hesitating between two outfits"
"then show me them!"
"okay so this one, or this one" Maisie asked as she showed the two outfits which were on the bed "they seem right to meet parents no?"
"yeah, these outfit are great to meet parents" Maria chuckled
"don't laugh! help me"
"okay, okay. I'll say the second one, you'll look good in it"
"thank you! and then i'm going to try it. i'm coming back in two seconds"
Like she said quickly Maisie came back with the outfit on. She put the camera on her desk so her friend could see the whole outfit on her,
"so? i can go like this?"
"yeah you definitely can!"
"thank-" Maisie began to say but got interrupted by a knock on the door. Knowing that it was Lando she told him to enter
"hey, you look good" he immediately complimented her as he approached her which automatically drew a smile on the girl's face
"no no no. i'm here and i do not want to witness to this!" Maria exclaimed causing the couple to look at her, well, technically at the phone,
"oh you're here" Lando told her
"yes i'm here"
"how are you?"
"i'm sad"
"wait. why?" Maisie immediately worriedly asked to her friend
"because you two makes me feel single" Maria said and sighed. A long sigh.
"shut up you scared me!" the other girl exclaimed
"deserved. you two are too cute and if max was here he probably already would be throwing up"
"except that now that he has a girlfriend" Lando pointed out
"shut up. don't remind that i'm single?"
"you're so weird ria"
"stop talking lando"
"okay whatever. And we have to go now" Lando said turning to his girlfriend
"okay, give me two more seconds" Maisie told him. She first had to end the call with maria
"okay" he smiled and quickly kissed her cheek before leaving the bedroom
"then this means we are ending the call?"
"unfortunately yes.."
"but you'll update me later!"
"of course!"
They then said goodbye to each other and ended the call. Maisie took the bag she just finished packing for the next 2 days. She quickly scrutinised her bedroom to see if she forgot anything but no so she headed downstairs where Lando was.
They then got into Maisie's car. Lando sat on the driver seat as he was the one driving and so the girl sat on the passenger seat. The journey would last about 2 hours.
But the closer they got to their final destination, the more stressed Maisie became...
The last she met someone's parents it was Isaac's parents. And it was while ago.
Plus it wasn't the same thing because now she was going to meet Lando's parents and it was so much more important for the girl.
"maisie"
"yeah?"
"what's going on" Lando questioned the girl seeing how she was playing with her fingers the whole ride and just seemed nervous
"nothing"
"come on"
"i'm maybe a bit stressed"
"a bit?"
"okay maybe a lot"
"why?"
"why?" she repeated again but the tone she used was meant that it was a question and he just nodded, "what if they don't like me? or what if i'm just to-"
"shut up. that's not true, they're going to love you! Don't stress about that maisie."
"b-"
"maisie i'm serious. Why will they don't like you? there is no reason"
Not long after these reassuring words the couple arrived at the final destination! Lando parked the car in the car park, took his bag and maisie's bag before walking to the the door, holding his girlfriends hand ready and excited to see his family!
He knocked at the door and immediately the door was opened by a woman with a warm smile. Lando's mom.
The woman immediately hugged her son while a smile appeared on Maisie's face.
And very quickly it was Maisie who found herself enveloped in Cisca's hug.
The embrace was comforting. Also radiating genuine love. A tear unconsciously escaped from Maisie's eye but Lando actually saw it.
"mom you're going to kill her" Lando commented so his mom would let go of Maisie
"that's not true!" Cisca, (his mom) exclaimed causing Maisie to chuckle
"i'm alive don't worry"
"soo lovely to finally meet you maisie! Lando only talks about you"
"that's not true" Lando denied
"it totally is true. You can't lie about that" Flo commented as she and her sister, Cisca, arrived in the hallway
They then both introduced themselves to Maisie and she introduced herself in return.
They started to talk and quickly Lando's dad and brother also arrived as they were outside.
LANDO was now showing around the house to MAISIE. They just arrived in front of his bedroom but before opening it Lando seriously looked at Maisie.
"i'm just warning you that nothing changed from when i was a child. It's exactly like before"
"don't worry i'm not going to judge"
He finally pushed the door and they both entered. A smile appeared on Maisie's lips as she observed everything around her,
On the walls were posters of F1 drivers. There were also lots of references to video games. Even if it was more for a teenager it was pretty, the girl actually liked it.
"well it's pretty"
"i know it is!"
"you're welcome" She chuckled
"wait maisie, can i ask you a question?"
"yes?"
"are you okay?" He questioned her, genuinely caring, and also referring to when his mom hugged her
"yeah i'm okay. why?"
"just to be sure"
"well thank you for asking. And i'm okay don't worry" Maisie sincerely smiled
"okay, good" He smiled back at her but their conversation was interrupted because it was time to eat.
Maisie followed Lando downstairs to the living room where they sat around the table next to each other.
And as they ate Maisie got 'questioned' by one of Lando's sister.
"so maisie" Flo began to talk
"yes?"
"what is your job?"
"oh. um- well i'm..a.. YouTuber" Maisie hesitantly said but she felt Lando taking her hand under the table, it was reassuring. She gave him a quick look and smiled before looking back at Flo
"cool and-"
"Flo it's not an interrogation" Her mom commented
"i'm just asking some question to get to know her"
"you already asked too much question" Lando added rolling his eyes
"anyway. Maisie i watch your videos and they're really nice" Cisca interrupted the small 'argue' between her older brother and her older sister
"thank you! glad you like them" The girl sincerely smiled
They then all finished eating and it was time to take the dishes back to the kitchen and wash them.
Seeing the mother get up to take the dishes to the kitchen, Maisie got up too and started to help,
"Maisie i don't need to help don't worry" The older woman talked
"no it's okay, i don't mind"
"and we will wash the dishes mom don't worry" Flo informed her mom and Cisca nodded
So after putting all the dishes in the kitchen Maisie, Cisca and Flo started to wash it.
"so you like my brother?" Cisca asked
"yeah, i do like him"
"how is it possible?" Flo demanded causing Maisie to chuckle
"well, as you two already know he's a really good person. An amazing person" The girl declared, a smile on her face "he's legit my favorite person"
She liked him, so much
well,
she loved him
"this is actually so cute" Cisca commented
"and he really likes you too, he always talk about you. And i'm not lying" Flo added
They then finished to wash the dishes while talking of course..
Once the dishes were done, the three girls went to the living room where Lando and the rest of his family was.
Maisie obviously sat next to Lando who was playing with his niece, Mila. She was sitting on his thighs and he was making silly faces to make the little girl laugh and he was succeeding.
Maisie watched this with a huge bright smile. Seeing this was too cute for her, Lando with children was too cute for her. How he acted with them made her heart melt,
But then they asked if she wanted to carry the child, she hesitated but as Lando and Olivier insisted, she accepted. Mila was now sitting on Maisie's lap and laughing in a way she had never done before, because the girl was hiding her face with her hands, then withdrew her hands to smile and did this several times, she was trying to make her laugh and she was succeeding too.
Meanwhile Lando looked at her with a special smile on his face. His family meant everything to him and seeing them made him happy, but seeing his girlfriend with his family made him even happier. She fit right in.
And right now, seeing the girl with his niece only made his smile even wider. It was so cute, too cute.
HOURS LATER...
MAISIE and LANDO were now in Lando's bedroom. Talking.
"and see i told you they'll like you!" Lando exclaimed
"yeah you did told me. but i got scared when flo started to ask me questions" Maisie chuckled
"why? do you have something to hide?"
"i have nothing to hide norris"
"don't call me norris"
"sorry norris"
"i hate you" He told her, earning a small laugh from her
"too bad" She sarcastically said and a comfortable silence settled down
But Maisie broke it, "and so.. i heard that you talk about me, a lot" she smirked
"that's no-" Lando was going to deny it but gave up "okay i maybe talk about you, a bit"
"a lot should be more appropriate"
"okay okay, i talk about you a lot. You're happy now?"
"very" the girl proudly and suddenly she changed the subject "i'm glad i'm here"
"i'm glad you're here" he smiled
