Chapter 6: Qualify or Fail
The qualifiers for the pro licences were on the horizon, so in order for them to qualify, they had to master two new finishing moves. Everyone was pumped. It had been two weeks after the funeral, and Louie felt more determined than ever to get her licence. She didn't want all of her hard work to go to waste, so she had been training with her mentor for the past two weeks, in secret. She hated how she ignored Fumikage, but Louie insisted she was doing this training for herself, and to make her father proud.
The night before, Louie and Fumikage were hanging out in his room when he turned to her unsure how to ask her.
Fumikage: "My Angel~ May I ask where have you been for the last two weeks?" He looked into her glowing eyes.
Louie: "OK, I'll tell you...... I was training my quirks. Sunflower Glowing and Ice Crystal Storm. My new moves. Have I made you upset in anyway?" She replied defeatedly, looking away in embarrassment.
Looking at her in confuddled, he didn't expect that answer at all. At first, he though she was cheating, but what she said next put him off guard.
Louie: "I wasn't keeping it from you deliberate, it was just I really wanted you to have some time to yourself without me around so you could focus on your quirk. I was being considerate, because I also know how much you value your time with your friends as well. Pleas don't think ill of me...... oh, Fumikage what will you do with me?" Louie explained trying not to gabble on and on, but instead just poured her heart out, and hoped it was enough for him not to despise her.
Fumikage embraced her with a sigh, and chuckled as he rested his beak on her head.
Fumikage: "Oh my Angel~ You sexy Dark Angel to my heart, how can I hate you, when my love for you is everlasting as the tides of time. Thank you for being understanding of my needs as well of yours, you overwhelm me at times my love...."
Louie: You're Not mad?" She stated, eyes wide at his answer.
Fumikage: "Why would I be?" He retorted playfully. "Now shut up, you're getting Dark Shadow excited for no reason."
Time skips to the Provision licence exam......
The Dy had arrived and some of the students were extremely excited to compete, whilst others were nervous as hell.
The first task was to take out the opponents with the six balls they were handed, then hit the three targets on said person to pass to the next round. Louie used her vampire speed and flight to get her targets. Her opponents were quite surprised at her speed and targeting, but also annoyed she got through. As she watched in the qualifiers room, she was soon met by the rest of her class near the end of the battle. She was relieved when she saw them all, especially Fumikage. As the rest of tasks proceeded, it turned to a rescue mission. Halfway through the saving the innocent civilians, Louie had needed some help with some debris that was about to fall, that was when Ochacco helped her out with Shoji taking the victim to the first aid station, as Louie tried to help the second trapped victim under the rubble. They were halfway there, when the voice of the safety commissioner told them they had to battle villains on the field whilst protecting the innocent.
It was a struggle however not all had succeeded in the end. A tall TV stand revealed the results, along with their test scores to pass. Louie had passed with 84%. She was Just glad she tried her best, and couldn't wait to tell Fumikage, when she had a moment alone with him. At the end of the day, Louie looked at her hero's provision Licence with pride, and saw her beloved approach.
Louie: "Hey Fumi, how did you do?" She asked shyly, as she held his hand on the way to the bus.
Fumikage smiled, and showed her his pass.
Fumikage: "I passed. What about you, my love?" He teased, loving the way she lit-up at him for getting his pass.
Louie: "I Passed!"
That night everyone celebrated in their own way, and commiserated with those who had failed.
A few days later, and Louie is talking with Jiro, Mina, Momo and Deku, during their break. She wanted their help with a task her mentor had set her, but she couldn't do this on her own. Louie had to show some of her hobbies to her friends, she didn't want to cause a fuss, but, bit her tongue and decided to get on with it.
Louie: "You've heard me sing, but have you actually seen me dance properly? Like you do Mina, with your cool moves." Louie asked shyly, already regretting her question, and wanting to hide.
Mina: "Noo!! OH.MY.GOD! ............... Louie! Why didn't you tell us you could dance too?!" She squealed in giddiness.
Louie backed away from her friend a little nervously, as she was a little intimidated by her bounciness and frankly over-excitement.
Louie: "My mentor has set me task of performing a dance for the D.R.K Squad. That's the group I'm part of, with my mentor. You see, I have to perform this solo, and I can't get it right, so ...."
Mina cottoned on rather quickly, and immediately said yes! They all agreed to help her after school in one of the spare music rooms.
Jirou was waiting for Louie, as their friends went ahead to setup the room and the music. Whilst they were on the way there, Louie sent Fumikage a text message, to let him know where and who she was with.
Louie: Hey, I'm at the music department, working on something with some of our friends from class, no need to worry. (Heart emoji)
ShadowKingFumi: Thank you my angel, I shall see you later. I'm with Sato, Shoji and Ida at the moment at the dorms, if you need me. You know where to find me my love....
Louie: In the Darkness and Shadows. My wonderful Shadow King. I love you. XX
ShadowKingFumi: Love you too, my Angel of Darkness. XXX
Jiro looked at Louie's love-struck expression and sniggered, Louie looked at her wondering what the hell was wrong with her. It wasn't until Jiro admitted that she saw the texts by accident, that she thought the whole relationship between Louie and Tokoyami was the cutest thing she seen. Louie pushed her lightly, causing Jiro to laugh even harder as they arrived at the room.
Music set; Mina ready with camera, with Deku and Momo watching from the sides. Mina gave the thumbs up to go. The song Louie picked was 'Adam lambert – If I had you' Song. It was one of Louie's favourites.
She moved in time to the music only briefly to pause every so often, to either point, pose or look a little seductive, to the camera. Finally, she finished with a half split super hero pose, which got her a round of applause.
Jiro: "Not gonna lie, that was hot! Louie, Have you been holding out on us? First the singing, now the dancing......" Jiro stated somewhat at a loss for words.
Mina: "Don't forget she can play the guitar as well! You're gonna ace this dance, I know it." She yelled positively.
Louie: "Thanks guys, I needed that boost after the funer...." Louie stopped, as she admitted quietly, then turned sad at the end, wiping away a few escaped tears that fell down her cheeks.
Momo: "Louie, you've gone through a lot in the past few weeks, but don't worry, we've got your back, ok?" Momo, spoke softly as she hugged her friend making her ease her worries for a short time.
Time skips to dinner time that night, and Louie was sat on Jiro's bed with her sorting out her playlists. Jiro was scrolling through each song confused as well as impressed.
Jiro: "Your playlist is interesting." She said, not looking away from the screen as she spoke.
Louie: "Interesting? What do you mean?" She replied, doubtful.
Jiro: "I mean, you have a lot of songs I've certainly didn't have you pegged for, like Disney, K-pop, some pop songs too, and that's just the start of your list, isn't it?" She quizzed, with a smile.
Louie: "Sorry...." Louie instantly apologised.
Jiro: "No don't apologise! It's just refreshing to see different music that's all, like this one, 'Miraculous' song? Would you sing it for me, please?"
Louie agreed, but sang the whole song in French, well the one she knew from her playlist. When the song ended, Jiro had a number of questions for her about the other songs, but saw after a while, Louie was becoming uncomfortable with them, so she stopped.
Louie: "Sorry to ask this, but can you and few others help me with your Japanese language please? I'm really struggling to learn your beautiful language." Louie asked, as she looked at her hands frustrated with herself.
Jiro: "Of course, just answer this, have you been to any of the places you learned these songs from?"
Louie: "Nope. Japan is the first country I've ever been to. I've never been out of England my entire life, until I moved here."
Jiro: "Well, if you're stuck with our language, just ask the class. We'll help you out no problem, Chewie."
Louie: "Thank you, and I've told everyone to call me Louie."
Jiro: "I know."
The girls giggled at their antics.
