Nandini's pov
I turned around gulping the cake which was in my mouth to see an unknown person, I sighed at least he is not the devil I thought appeared.
"Who are you?" He asked
Fuck! What if he is the same guest Of Mr. Malhotra, shit he didn't wanted me to come down and here this guy has seen me.
I don't know what got in me I ran from there to my room.
"Hey stop" he followed me.
I was going to close the door behind but he was fast enough to enter.
"Where you think you're running?" He asked
"Sir... I'm not running I... I'm just working" I said, I don't know what but I said
"Is eating things from fridge like a thief and running when you are caught is work?" He asked adding the sarcasm
"Uhmm... Actually I was hungry so I went down to eat before that I was working so I mixed up the sentence" I lied
"Who are you?" He asked
"I... Uhm... I'm a maid yes I'm a worker here who else I can be?" I'm dead for sure, Nandini Murtiy be ready for the punishment tomorrow
"Worker? Everyone is sleeping in servant quarter why are you here?"
"I said I was working and I'm still doing"
"You're very suspicious I'm not having good vibes from you"
"What are you saying sir what else I can do here?" I was trying my best to convince him
I hope by tomorrow he left!
"Hmm okay finish you work and leave" he said and I nodded.
He left the room while I sighed closing the door. I just hope he won't mention anything in front of Mr. Malhotra
Manik's pov
She was weird but I ignored maybe I am thinking way too much.
I went to my room and slept as from tomorrow I have a duty.
In morning:
I came out of my room to see dad having lunch.
"Good morning dad"
"Oh Manik Good morning. All ready for work?" He asked
"Yes for now I'm" I said sitting on chair
"Best of luck I know you're going to be the best doctor"
"With your prayers I will be no doubt"
"Sir anything else you need?" The maid asked after she served me coffee
"No thanks" She left. The last night incident echoed in my mind.
"By the way you have given jobs to weird peoples I'm telling you"
"What you mean"
"Last night of one the girl was eating something from fridge like a thief and when I asked what is she doing she ran away, I followed her to that room and she said she is a worker here, she was weird I'm telling you" I said
"I will check who she is don't worry"
"Yeah you should she can be a thief you know some peoples have this kind of hobby"
"Yeah you're right"
After I was done I left to work saying bye to dad.
Nandini's pov
I got my breakfast in my room as That guy from last night is going to stay here forever. He is the son of Mr. Malhotra, I still can't believe this. Why all problems comes to my way only?
The door knocked while I opened to see Mr. Malhotra. Fuck I'm gone.
"Go... Good morning sir" I said
"Morning Morning" he said sitting on bed like a king "All good?" He asked which assured me that I'm in deep trouble
"Yes sir" I have to answer I can't stay silent.
"Good. Where were you last night?" He asked
"I... I was in my room"
"You went down even for a second?" He asked
"I... Yes I-"
"Even when I ordered you not to?" He asked again
"I was hungry I wasn't able to sleep, I called Tanvi many times but she was sleeping I guess so... I'm so sorry"
"So you could have come to my room to tell me"
"It was so late that is why I didn't disturbed you I thought he must be sleeping as well but he wasn't"
"But now you have done a mistake and you have to bare the punishment" he said
"Sir I'm sorry I...-"
"You are going to live in servant quarter" he said
"What?"
"You have any problem?" He asked raising his eyebrow
"Nn... No Sir I was just-"
"Your necessary things will be moved there" he said and I nodded "Now sit and be ready for the punishment"
"But sir-"
"Sit Or else it will be worse" he added and I did
Manik's pov
At late night I came home changing my dress I came down to see no one. I looked in the kitchen for something to eat as I didn't get the time for lunch but there is nothing to eat.
I moved in servant quarter looking for Tanvi but I guess everyone is sleeping, oh god.
I knocked one of the door while a guy opened the door.
"Yes sir?"
"Where is Tanvi's room?" I asked
"It's 3rd room on the left row"
"Ok thanks" I left to the direction.
I knocked the door but there was no response, I knocked again the door was already open I looked inside to see a girl sitting applying an ointment on her back.
I entered inside not able to stop myself. I was shocked when I saw her back, it was full of bruises, some new and fresh while some old and dry.
I faked a cough while she still didn't responded.
"Tanvi!" I called and this time she responded. She covered herself with duvet and turned.
"Sir... What are you doing here" she isn't Tanvi she is the girl from last night.
"You? I thought it's Tanvi's room" I said
"No Tanvi's room is on the other side" she said
"Oh I am sorry to disturb" I said
"No problem"
"What happened to you?" I asked
"Nothing it's just.. It's nothing" she said "Can you please leave?" She said
"Uhm... I'm a doctor I can help you with this"
"No thank you"
"What's your name?"
"Auhm.. It's Nandini" she said
"Nandini trust me I can help you let me see" I said
"But-"
"Trust me I will only look" I said and she nodded
She turned around letting the duvet fall. She was wearing a trouser and a bra.
I touched her back trying to register what kind of bruises these are.
"You are being tortured?" I asked
"Please don't ask questions"
"But you have to tell me so that I can help"
"Yes I am"
"Show me the ointment you were using" I said and she hand overed me the tube
"Its wrong tube, it's use for internal body pain it won't help you, wait here I just come" Saying so I left to my room
Looking in the box Full of medical things I finally found the tube. I came back knocked the door and entered inside.
"Sit" I said while she did
I sat behind her applying on her back. She hissed holding the bedsheet tightly in her grip.
"Here keep this and apply 2 times a day it will help to recover fast" I said and she nodded.
"Thank you so much"
"It's my work. Uhm Can I wash my hand in your washroom if you don't mind?" I asked
"Sure sure" She said.
I left inside washing my hands. It was when my eyes fallen on a tablet. I picked it up to see and I was shocked, its anti depressing pills and the mg is way too high.
This girl is not okay she is in some kind of trouble. Should I talk to dad about her?
I came out and looked at her she was setting the duvet all ready to sleep
"Good night" I said and she looked at me
"Good night and thanks once again"
"No problem do tell me when this tube will finish I have more I will give you" she nodded and I left
