(ZANE POV)
I let out a sigh of relief as I got out of the shower, it was 7:30 PM and game night was at 8:00, I wrapped a towel from the bathroom shelf and wrapped it around my waist.
*Knock knock!*
"Yes?" I say out loud, "The desserts are done, the beers are being chilled and I have the appetizers ready as well!"
I throw my boxers on, "Thanks KC,"
"No problem! Now I'm going to throw some comfy clothes on, you can have a cupcake or cookie if you want.."
The door slams open, "But save some please!" She looked at me with a warning face, I got goosebumps from the cold air that slapped me in the face.
"Heh, I promise" I smile at my girlfriend as she closes the door, I throw the rest of my clothes on and head downstairs.
"Are you going?"
"Yes..."
"I'm coming with you," Aaron said, slipping on his sneakers, I put mine on as well,
"Why wouldn't you?" I muttered Aaron seated himself on the stairs beside me.
"Because we've been distant all day even though I apologized for what I said"
"And I forgave you for that" I finished tieing my shoelaces and stood up, "Come on" I reached my hand out, "Let's get drunk," I said jokingly, he took my hand and laid a kiss on the back of it, "like the responsible young parents we are"
"Yes! Responsible! Always look both ways!"
"What?" Said Aaron, "Nothing, let's go" I opened the front door.
"Irene, it's beautiful out" Said Aphmau, she was admiring the late night sky while holding Aaron's hand, he was smiling at her, the two hadn't felt this way in a while, of course they loved each other, that spark would always be there but this feeling was nostalgic.
"Remember when me and the girls first moved here?" Aphmau set her eyes on Aaron, "Yeah..." Aaron chuckled, "I ate chocolate with you," Aphmau shook her head, "If only I knew you were allergic, I knew something was wrong when you kept going to the bathroom!" She giggled
"Yeah, that wasn't healthy, my mom was not a fan of me doing it either," Aaron said in a low tone, the mention of his mother pained him and Aphmau felt the same, "I know..."
The couple snaps out of their thoughts when they end up at Katelyn and Kawaii-Chan's door, it swings open to see a pink-haired woman in a knit sweater and gray shorts
"Aphmau! Aaron! Come in!" Said KC in a joyful tone, she led them to the couch. Dante and Travis were standing talking up a storm, Katelyn was on her phone, Laurence and Lucinda were chatting, Zane was near the desserts and Garroth was setting up the games.
"Everybody looks...good" Aphmau muttered to Aaron, even though everyone including herself was wearing comfortable clothing she still felt insecure, she hadn't felt this way since college, even though she just had a baby 6 months ago and worked hard to get her post-baby body back, she still felt a bit more chubby then she was last year but in reality she was a regular sized woman, chub or not. Aaron sure loved it, her thighs, her hips, her chest, and especially her energy.
"Your body is amazing," Aaron whispered back, catching onto how Aphmau was feeling, he placed his hand on her back and led her into the kitchen.
"Aph!" The black-haired and blue-eyed man rushed to hug his best friend and she returned it,
"Zane! How ya doing?"
"It's Great, just excited that we all are together like this again.." Zane said, looking at the group of friends in the living room
"It is," Said Aaron, I smiled at him and walked into the living room where everyone was sitting, I sat on the floor putting my back against the couch that Travis was currently sitting on, Aaron joined him.
"Cursed soul bro!" Travis said high-fiving Aaron,
"Hey Travis," Aaron returned the high five and sat down next to him.
"So! What are we gonna do?" Lucinda asked, taking a sip of wine from her cup
"I set up some games for us!" Said Garroth, "What kind? Laurence asked " Trivia, never have I ever, and drink or tell"
" 'Drink or tell?' What is that?" Asked Aphmau, Garroth giddily replied, "When a question or truth is asked and you've done it, you drink, then you tell the story!"
"But that sounds like truth or dare," Aphmau said in a confused tone. "Can we please start? I'm getting bored and I wanna have some adult fun!" Katelyn exclaimed, Travis looked over to her and smiled, she smirked back, got up from her seat, and plopped herself onto her boyfriend Travis putting his arm over her.
APH POV)
Just as the game was about to start I got up and went to the kitchen deciding I wanted a cookie or something sweet before I spilled my guts.
"Oo! Chocolate chip!"
Just one wouldn't hurt...
"Hmm" I looked at the other sweet treats, there were red velvet and vanilla cupcakes along with sugar cookies.
"Dang it! KC and her amazing baking!" I reach for a chocolate chip cookie and take a bite,
"Mmm!" I licked the chocolate off my lips and took another bite of the semi-warm cookie. I knew I was going to regret it so I gulped the rest of the cookie down. I grab a water bottle from the fridge and walk back into the living room.
"Okay! What are we doing now!" I plop myself on Aaron who had a beer in his hand.
"Never have I ever!" Squealed Kawaii-Chan,
"KC, I don't want to spill this in you" Zane cautiously waved her hand away as it was about to hit him. I found it adorable.
"Sorry," She said, laying her head on his lap.
"Who's gonna pick the first question?" I asked Garroth, "I have a bowl with a bunch of questions in them so we can just draw from there,"
"I call picking first!" Laurence declared, Garroth gave him the bowl and he began digging for a question "These better be some spicy questions Garroth" Lucinda told him taking a sip of her wine
"I got them off of the internet and printed them but the web page did say that they are 18 and up!" Garroth scratched the back of his neck and let out a nervous laugh.
"Okay! I got a good one!" Laurence exclaimed
"Never have I ever made my partner not walk after we did it!"
"Huh?" I turned my head to Aaron, he gave the a look and then it clicked.
"Oh! Oh?!!!"
"I did not know it would escalate that quick.." Said Zane
"So we HAVE to answer that!?" Said Katelyn
"I have," Said Travis, everyone gasped
"Oh my Irene!" Travis was smacked in the arm by Katelyn and pretty hard too
"Ow! Babe!?" He said, rubbing his arms, "I am going to get you back! Just you fucking wait" She grinned maliciously
"How about this famous couple right here?" Laurence said pointing to Aaron and I, I felt my face heat up.
"Uh- I -I am not answering that!" I covered my face in embarrassment
"I'm taking that as a yes" Laurence said, "No! You can't do that!" I looked Laurence in disbelief, "I'm not going to talk about my sex life and neither is he," I looked at Aaron as a warning, he raised his hands up in surrender
"Sh- she's right!" Aaron blurted out right in my ear, we looked at each other and nodded in agreement
"Lucinda! How about you?"
"Me? Ha!" She took another sip of her white wine and tucked her orange hair behind her ear,
"Just know that my partner is great"
"What about you guys? Hmm?" Laurence shifted his attention onto Zane and KC, the couple left their cute moment
"First of all ew, second of all no! We-" Zane shut his mouth before he got the rest of his sentence out, "I am not discussing this! Pick another question"
"I didn't even get to answer!" Said Dante, "But no..I have not," he scratched the back of his neck.
Ugh, this injury is killing meeee!
I turned my body to face Aaron,
"I need to-"
"Let's play pregnancy roulette!"
"WHAT!?" I yell and almost turn, almost forgetting that I could have pulled my stitches in the moment. Aaron stops me,
"Careful..!" He muttered, his hand hovered over my torso as he looked at me with worry, I jumped a bit with him.
"Sorry!"
"Aph! Come on!" KC took a hold of my arm, "Noooo! I'm scared!"
"It'll be fine! Let's go! Lucinda you too!"
"Whatever.." Said Lucinda, she put down her glass and followed us upstairs.
"Where are the test anyway Kawaii-Chan?" Asked Katelyn, the girls and I were in the bathroom watching KC rummage through her cabinets under the sink, "Found them!" KC grinned as she showed the dollar store test
"Nooo! These test suck guys!" I whined, "I took these specific test after I found out I was pregnant with Alina and it came out negative!"
"So you took two different kind of test?" Lucinda looked at me confused, "I ran out of the expensive ones okay!" I crossed my arms and took a test from one of the two boxes KC had
"Guys what if one of us is pregnant?!" Katelyn said, "No way, we're all grown women who take the pill and always have extra plan B, right..?" Lucinda scolded us, we all nodded.
"Okay there are two bathrooms! Who's gonna be the two to go first?" Kawaii-Chan asked, "I'll go!" Katelyn and I said at the same time, we laughed at each other and I went downstairs to the bathroom.
"Aph? What are you doing?" Zane asked me as I walked towards the bathroom door
"Taking the test!" I showed Zane and the other boys
"Oooo! Aphmau is feeling adventurous today! What if I get another niece or nephew!" Garroth yelled, my face heated up and I ran into the bathroom and slammed the door.
"Okay! Okay...I'm not pregnant, even if I love babies and have precious, beautiful, and adorable little donut at home I don't need another one!"
But Aaron and I did-
"No!"
I sat on the toilet and took the test, once I was done my nerves went up even more
"Crap, crap! Did I take my birth control!? Damn it!" I whispered to myself, "Oh god!" I started to hyperventilate, my ears suddenly appeared as well which startled me even more because I have full control over them.
*CLANK*
I jumped when I heard something fall, I looked around too see nothing on the floor.
"The hell!?"
*Ding!*
"Aphmau is everything okay?" I heard Zane say through the door, I check the message on my phone as well.
UNKNOWN
I'm outside.
"Aph?" Zane says my name again, his voice more urgent.
"Uh! Y-yeah" I grab the test, and put my ears away.
"You sure?" Aaron says as I opened the door, he was standing right next to Zane
"Mhm!" I walk past the two boys and place the test face down next to the others then I walk over to Aaron.
"Can we talk?" I ask him, he nods and we walk to the kitchen.
"That fucking bastard"
"We don't know if it's him, Aaron"
"Babe, it is him-"
*Ding!*
Hurry up.
"Aaron...!" My stomach twisted, Aaron took the phone from my hand and looked at the message,
"Stay here." He said, "No!" I let out a low snarl, and grab his hand "Aaron Lycan, I swear to Irene if you go out there!"
"You're not going out there!"
"What did I tell you about!- *sigh* I am going out there okay? What if it's a trap!?" I argue with Aaron,
"Then I'll beat the shit out of him," Aaron abruptly lets go of my hand and walked out of the kitchen, I quickly follow him to the door of the house.
"Hey, where are you two going?" Dante asked, Aaron was already outside, walking back to our house "Just out, we'll be back as soon as we can!" I told everyone,
"If anything comes up let me know," Said Garroth in his serious voice, I knew what he meant as I nodded.
"I will."
