"You ready to go home?" Jamie walks in to the hospital room, giving Aneysa a soft smile, "Neteyam's just signing some papers, he'll be here soon."

She smiles back at him, "thank you."

"What for?" Jamie asks.

"For bringing me my wheelchair" she chuckles lightly.

"You don't have to thank me. You make it sound like it's a chore" Jamie chuckles back, as he's wheeling the chair towards her, "come on, let's get you up."

He places her arm over his shoulders, helping her up, and placing her down onto the chair.

Aneysa looks down at her leg, where the cast was placed.

Zoning out as a sudden flashback appears of her horrified scream, after the metal rod pierced through her leg.

She let out a shiver, causing Jamie to tilt his head and look down at her.

"You okay?" He asks her.

She zones back in, letting out a little stutter as she looks away slowly, "y-yeah. I'm okay."

He gives her an encouraging pat on her shoulder, "you're a strong woman, as far as I've known you Aneysa. Keep your head up, you've got this."

She gives him a smile, and a little nod, before the two of them head out, as he wheels her out.

-

Neytiri, Jake and Efe arrive to Aneysa and Neteyam's house.

"Tuk and Orla will be making their own way here. They've decided to walk? For whatever reason" Neytiri sighs, "it's like she doesn't want me seeing her friends."

"Mom, she's going through puberty that's just how it is" Kiri sighs with a smile, "don't worry. She still loves you. I promise."

"And who is this little fella?" Rotxo walks towards them, looking down at Efe.

His nose scrunches slightly, finding Efe adorable as he was stood holding onto Neytiri's finger with one hand, and Jake's with the other.

"This is Efe" Neytiri tells them.

Ao'nung pops his head over Rotxo's shoulder as Love follows behind, all of them now facing Efe.

Efe takes a couple of steps behind Neytiri's legs, hiding himself.

"Efe?" Love asks.

"Yes. Efe" Neytiri shoo's them away with her hand, noticing how they were making him scared, "he's part of our family now."

"Has Neteyam or Aneysa not told you all about him?" Jake asks.

"Why would they?" Lo'ak asks, walking in from the kitchen, whilst his wife was sat outside, soaking herself in the sun, and his daughter was running around in the garden.

They all look at one another confused.

"Hang on.." Ao'nung gasps, "have they had a child all along! They've been hiding him!"

Love slaps Ao'nungs shoulder playfully, as she chuckles, "you can never be serious with anything, can you?"

"It's a serious question!" Ao'nung protests.

"He is their son" Neytiri nods, "their adopted son."

"They adopted?" Kiri asks.

"Why were we not told?" Lo'ak asks, "this is.. great news! For them."

"We though they would have gave you the news themselves.." Jake responds quietly, as the room suddenly felt awkward.

"Well whatever happens, we will not make a big fuss about it" Neytiri glares at them all, and for accepting nods back from each of them in the room.

"You should probably tell Tsireya not to mention it to" Ao'nung turns his head to look at Lo'ak.

"Do you take the piss out of your sister all the time?" Lo'ak asks, slightly offended.

Ao'nung laughs, "relax. I'm her brother. It's what brothers do. Besides, the only reason she's unaware about the way she speaks is because her father has never told her off. Someone has to, she's a grown woman now."

"And I will handle it" Lo'ak puts his hand in front, his palm facing Ao'nung, "what I don't appreciate is your little comments towards her. So stop."

"Right. Sorry" Ao'nung nods and then looks at Love, as he whispers to her, "he thinks he's so cool."

Love nudges him with her elbow, whispering back, "stop it. Be nice."

Neytiri places Efe down onto the sofa, sitting beside him.

"Do you want to watch some tv?" Neytiri asks.

Efe shook his head no.

"You don't watch tv?" Kiri asks, her tone being soft as she does not wish to scare him.

Efe gave a shy smile and shook his head no, before moving his head up towards Neytiri, whispering into her ear, "Aneysa reads me stories."

Neytiri chuckles, "that is bedtime stories."

He shook his head no.

"She reads it to you whenever?" Neytiri asks.

He nods, with his hopeful eyes.

The hopeful eyes, that Neytiri had witnessed for the first time.

Her heart tugged at the sight of it, seeing the expression he had, when remembering her, only confident that she made the right decision, is asking Aneysa and Neteyam to adopt him.

Knowing that, even though it will take time, he will be okay.

-

Jamie and Aneysa come towards Neteyam, who had just finished signing the papers.

He turns his head, his eyes landing on Jamie first, and down to Aneysa.

He gives her a smile and she gives him a weak one back.

"Thanks" he gives Jamie a smile and a nod, before kneeling down beside her.

"We've gotta pick up Orla from school" Neteyam tells her, "they've called and said she's unwell."

"Oh" Aneysa responds, becoming slightly anxious when she realises she'll have to see Orla. The girl she could not save from her brother.

"Will you be okay to come with me?" Neteyam asks, holding onto her hand gently.

She puts on a smile and nods, "sure."

He moves in, his lips getting a touch of her soft cheeks.

Jamie let out a slight gasp before he quickly covered his mouth.

Neteyam looks up at him before standing up.

"I'm sorry, I keep forgetting you're both married" Jamie chuckles.

Neteyam smiles, "now remember, any problems, just call me. Please. I'm leaving you in charge."

Jamie gives a nod back, "I will keep everything in order, you have nothing to worry about."

Neteyam then takes hold of the chair, as he helps Aneysa out, the two of them making their way out the hospital.

As she felt the slight breeze rush past her, she took a deep breath in, as she closed her eyes, taking it all in.

Knowing that she won't have much of a chance to be out as much as she wished.

As much as she was able to.

"Your hair looks cute" Neteyam tries to get her attention, tilting his head to look down at her.

She smiles, "Jamie did it for me."

Neteyam chuckles, "of course he did."

He continues to look at her, watching the way that her head moved around as she focused on everything around her.

"It's a beautiful weather today" Aneysa speaks.

"It is" Neteyam responds, keeping his eyes on her.

-

"How are you feeling? Do you need any more water? Should I get a nurse?" Evan bombarded Orla with his worried questions.

"I'm fine, Evan" Orla responds, sighing as she holds her head.

"What happened?" Evan asks, tilting his head to look closer.

"Nothing" she sighs again and looks up, Evan then moving away from her face.

Orla turns around to face him, "why are you helping me?"

"What do you mean?" Evan asks.

"I mean what I asked. Why are you helping me?" Orla asks again, "you pick on my friends, you're always picking on people in class.. but you're being so nice to me."

Evan scratches the back of his head and lets out a shrug, "I don't know."

"Do you like me?" Orla tilts her head and squints her eyes to look at him.

"Hasn't that been pretty obvious?" Evan asks.

"Well.. too bad. I don't like guys who pick on people with no reason given. In fact, even if there was a reason, I hate guys who pick on people in general. Especially my friends" Orla tells him.

"I don't know why I do that either" he mumbles, scratching the back of his head in confusion once again.

"Well, until you sort yourself out, I hardly doubt you will have any chance towards me. Ever" Orla speaks, standing up on both feet at the same time.

When she suddenly felt a flash of dizziness, causing her to tumble a little.

He holds onto her, to stop her from falling over.

She squeezes her eyes shut, as the flash of pain flows through her head.

"Orla? Should I call someone?" He asks, leaning himself forward once again.

She shook her head no, her eyes still closed, "i'm okay. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" He asks her.

Orla flutters her eyes open, his face being so close that her eyes had immediately met with his concerned ones.

They look at each other for a couple of seconds.

Something felt odd. But also slightly.. right.

Orla nods and pats his shoulders to move him away from her face, breaking eye contact, "I'm fine."

"Orla?" She hears Neteyam's voice.

Evan looks up, to see a 6ft5 man staring down at him in displeasure, a slight frown on his face.

Evan quickly moves his hands away from Orla.

"And you are?" Neteyam asks, walking towards the two of them, moving Orla away from Evan.

"Evan. Sir" Evan took a gulp when he noticed how tall Neteyam was.

"Evan? As in-?"

"Yep" Orla adds on and nods, "but it's fine. He was just helping me get up. That's all."

Evan looks down, not knowing what to say.

"Well thank you" Neteyam thanks him, "but keep your hands away from her next time. Do you understand?"

"Y-yes sir" Evan nods, still keeping his head down.

Neteyam and Orla look at one another and smile, before he puts his arm out to her, "let's go."

She nods and goes to stand next to him, as he puts his arms around her shoulder.

Orla turns her head back, to see Evan's head up, looking back up at her.

She turns away, smiling to herself.

"Don't even think about it" Neteyam tilts his head to look at Orla.

"What?" Orla looked up at him innocently.

"You know I speak to your father right? And he tells me to make sure that you do not find a boyfriend. Which I most certainly agree with" Neteyam responds.

Orla rolls her eyes, "my father's always been old fashioned. I'm surprised you are too. And besides, Evan is not my boyfriend."

"Good. Let's keep it that way. No smiling over boys" Neteyam tells her off.

Orla only chuckles as she shook her head in disbelief.

As they get towards the car, Orla sees Aneysa sat down in the car at the front.

"She's here?" Orla asks.

Neteyam nods, "we're going home together now."

Orla smiles, "I'm glad."
