Sereia's POV~
"I'll go get her. Don't worry you guys." I said and ran to find Nyx.
I saw her running through the corridors and going near the Black Lake.
When I got there, she was quietly sobbing on a log near the Lake.
It was like she was trying so hard not to ruin the silence of that place.
"Nyx," I spoke quietly while putting my hand on her shoulder.
She turned around with her watery red eyes.
I couldn't see her like that. All I could do was hug her and tell her that it is going to be okay. Even though I don't know about that...
And that's what I did.
We sat there and I comforted her as much as I could until she spoke up,
"Why? Why would he do such a thing? I told him I will be with him no matter what, but still he had to run away. Is he safe? Will we find him?" She said while sobbing.
"Shhh, it is going to be fine. We will find him." I said.
She nodded into the hug.
After a few more minutes, she finally calmed down. Still crying but I think she was tired.
We went back to the dorms and I dropped her off to Andrea and Daphne.
"Take care of her," I said.
They both nodded and I left.
Nyx's POV~
I just could not believe it. My best friend ran away. That also Merlin knows where! Anything could happen to him.
Time went on. Every weekend Tom went to find him. But no trace of him. I also insisted to go with him every weekend, but he would never let me come.
Every Sunday dinner went the same.
Tom would come back, and sit at the table. "Anything?" I would ask. And he would just nod his head saying no in disappointment.
It had been 9 months. Still no sign of him. Everyone had lost hope. Except for Me and Tom.
I was out at the Quidditch pitch because I had nothing to do and Draco and Jacob, practically begged for me to come watch them and tell who was better.
Both raced to catch the Golden Snitch and Draco got it first.
"Told ya, I was better. Don't worry, I'll teach you." Draco said to Jacob while landing down.
Jacob just rolled his eyes scoffing.
"Just because you caught it first, doesn't mean you're better," Jacob said.
"Well, what do you say Nyx?" Draco asked turning to me.
"Remind me again, why was I the only chosen one to judge you guys?" I said chuckling.
"Because only you, out of all, is the daughter of The Callius Maeve," Draco said.
"Honestly, just stop fangirling over my father you guys. Besides, Sereia and Rune are also there. Why only bother me?" I said.
"We did ask those two but they just turn us down cuz they had to study," Jacob said.
"Also, don't change the topic," Draco said.
"Ugh, fine," I said thinking for an answer that wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings.
"Both of you are really good. Just in different fields. Draco is a Seeker because he is good at it and Jacob is a Keeper because he's good at it," I said with a smirk.
"Wow, real smart answer Maeve," Jacob said while patting my head, like always.
"Guess you're right. But anyways, I have to go," Draco said while leaving.
"I think I should go too. I'll probably go to the library or something," I said trying to leave but Jacob stopped me.
"No, stay a bit longer," he said.
"Wh-" I was cut off by Jacob dragging me over to the broom.
"Oh no no no no no. Hell no! Not again." I said as I realised what he was trying to do.
"Come on. It's gonna be fun. Besides, I had promised to make your fear go away," he said smirking.
"And I told you. It. Will. Never.," I said.
I didn't even realize and I was sat on the broom until it took off.
"Jacob NOOOOOO," I practically screamed.
Hell, I didn't even realize I was sitting on the broom facing him. I was flying backwards.
"Relax darling, just don't look down and feel the cool breeze," he said widely smiling down at me.
All I could do was see how high we were from the ground. I couldn't help but shake and look down at the pitch.
"Jacob Nawaro. Get me down right now," I ordered as sternly as I could through the fear in my voice.
He stopped the broom in mid-air.
I swear I'm gonna kill him as soon as I get down.
"Alright, we'll get down in a few minutes. But you gotta look up. See, we're at the same height as the birds," he said.
I tried but just couldn't take my eyes off of the ground.
He gently grabbed my chin and made me face him.
"Nothing's gonna happen to you. Okay. Just don't look down. If you're too scared to look around, just look at me and ignore everything else." he said as I did so.
He was right. I actually didn't feel fear in that moment. All I did was zone out in my thoughts while looking at his eyes.
We were both just staring at each other's eyes. Looking at each other deeply.
Merlin, how did I not realize he had such beautiful eyes. That perfect smile. And when he smirks...
Stop Nyx, stop. What are you doing? He is your friend. He probably doesn't even think of you that way.
I tried stopping myself from thinking that nonsense, but God, I just couldn't.
We still didn't break the eye contact and there came a moment.
He leaned in a bit. I tried so hard not to do the same, but my body neglected my brain. I also leaned in. He came a bit more closer until we were practically feeling each other's warm breaths on us.
And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, he took a quick glance at my lips and back to my eyes.
I felt like there was a knot tying in my stomach and there were a million butterflies running around in my stomach.
God, what is happening.
I've never felt this before.
What should I do?
My mind was racing until he closed the gap between us.
I swear there was literally an explosion inside my stomach.
After a few more seconds, we pulled away. But not too far. Our faces were just centimetres away and we both were smiling.
I just couldn't help but smile wider and wider every second.
My cheeks are definitely flustered red as a tomato.
The beautiful moment lasted a few more minutes until a bird ruined it.
The small bird came and sat on my shoulder which made me realize we were still in the air with just the hold of an old, anytime breakable looking broom.
I pulled away a bit from him and grabbed his arms.
"Umm, Jacob, I think we should get down," I said.
"Okay," he said
Oh god, he smirked...
Before I could even process, he tilted the boom horizontally and my back was facing the ground.
The swiftness of the broom was unbelievable.
All I could do was hug Jacob as tight as I could and scream, pray for my dear life.
I didn't realize that we were now on the ground until...
"You can open your eyes now. We're back, Safely." He said emphasizing the word 'Safely'.
I opened one of my tightly shut eye and looked around.
Oh thank Merlin. We are back.
I quickly got off of the broom and so did he.
"Are you insane!!! We could have died," I said pushing him a little.
I was not mad at him but it's just the haunt that took over me. I started punching him on the chest saying stuff like he is crazy. Doesn't he care for his life?!
He didn't even bulge. After a few minutes of me Screaming over him and him just smirking, he grabbed my wrists and stopped me.
"Haha, stop now. Come on, don't tell me you didn't enjoy that. And plus, this was nothing in front of the stunts that I do, I went easy. Just for you." He said with a bright smile which just made my 'Haunt' go away.
I tried to keep my face serious but failed with a small laughter.
And again, silence took over with just us staring at each other.
"Umm, that was umm, my first-" I spoke up but he just saw how awkward it was for me to say and cut me off.
"I know. But I wanted you to know, I really like you Nyx. And I didn't regret any second of it. Did you?" he asked.
I took a long pause just thinking.
Oh hell, he likes me!!!
I do feel different when I'm around him!!!
But he is my friend. And more than that, Rune's best friend.
I never thought of him that way but now that I do...
Plus, It's not like I didn't feel anything.
I finally came to a decision.
"Yes. I mean no," shit I can't do this. He was just standing there confused waiting for my answer.
I closed my eyes and took a long breath.
"What I meant was yes I really like you too. And no I did not regret it either." I said trying not to look at him because my cheeks were flushed.
But when I looked back at him, as expected, he was smiling uncontrollably just like me.
After a few seconds of staring, he came close and held both my hands wrapping all his fingers between mine.
He leaned in to my height and kissed me again. But this time, it was longer. Deeper. Passionate.
God, I'm at a loss of words to describe it.
"I think we should go back, it's already Dawn," I said still smiling just centimetres away, just the tips of our noses touching, holding his hands.
We pulled apart after a few seconds and I grabbed my books.
"After you M'lady," he said and gestured for me to go with a bow.
I just smiled and we went back to the common room.
Oh shit, Rune and Sere are sitting there. What if they ask something.
"Hey you guys. Where were you?" Sere asked.
What do I say.
"Well, we were out in the Quidditch pitch. Me and Draco were practising and Nyx was our judge," Jacob said.
Oh thank God.
"Alright. Anyways, Jake, can you come over here, we can't figure this spell out," Rune said.
"Kay," he said and went to him after giving me a smile.
It was Sunday and I had nothing to do so I went back to my dorm to read a novel.
When I went in, Andy and Daphne, both were staring at me.
"What? Did you see a ghost," I asked with a slight chuckle.
"Girl, your face is flushed," Andy said.
"Yeah, why are you blushing this bad?" Daph added.
Shit.
I didn't even realize it and quickly hid my face.
"No I'm not," I said as if they were that dumb to believe me.
"You can maybe fool the whole Ministry, but not us," Andy said laughing.
"Alright, I'll tell you but you're not allowed to tell anyone. Especially Rune and Sereia," I gave up sitting on my bed.
Both ran up to me and sat in front of me.
"Your secret is safe with us and you know it." Daphne said.
"Yeah," Andrea added with acting like she was locking her lips and throwing the key away.
Andddddd I told them everything.

Now you can imagine why I had to split it up.

Also, I'm so sorry for not updating regularly, but I have some issues going on right now and I hope you guys understand.

Also I know it's just the 3rd year, and Nyx should be technically 13, but please bear with me for the sake of the story.
