Tommy woke up in a cold sweat. Tonight was one of the nights he fell asleep easily. And one of the few he had a nightmare. One about Dream.

They were always about the day he ran for his life- but in the nightmare, Techno and Wilbur didn't reach him in time. In the nightmare, he dies. But the nightmare never ended there. It continued, but with a suffocating, cramped darkness.

          He hated it.

It brought everything he'd been trying so hard to forget back. He hadn't told Puffy about the nightmares yet, hoping that they would stop before he needed to.

But tonight, he sat up in his bed after waking up. He glanced at his bedroom door, eventually standing and leaving the room.

He moved quietly down the hall. It was something he did subconsciously since Dream died. Phil had told him repeatedly he could be as loud as he wanted, but it made no difference. Tommy still accidentally snuck up on people with how quietly he walked.

He stopped in front of Wilbur's door, thinking a moment longer before knocking. There was no response for a few seconds, before there were footsteps and the door swung open to reveal a disheveled Wilbur.

"Are you alright, Tommy?" He asked drowsily.

"I'm fine, Wil. I just... I wanted to do something." Wilbur seemed to wake up a little, and stood a little straighter.

           "What is it?"

Tommy paused. He wondered if what he was doing was a good idea. If he would regret it later. "I want to go back." He said, finally.

Wilbur instantly seemed to panic. "What?! Why do you want to go back?! Did we all do something-" Tommy stopped his rambling, covering his mouth with his hand.

"Just to see it. His grave."

Wilbur looked at Tommy quietly for a while until he reached a sort of understanding. "Why?" He asked, genuinely curious.

"I've been having nightmares about him. I need to see the grave. For... closure." Wilbur nodded, and took Tommy's arm, leading him downstairs.

They went straight to the library, and Tommy waited as Wilbur grabbed the button key from atop the fireplace. As soon as Wilbur had it, he went to the tiny door and bent down to unlock it.

However, he froze when the lights flicked on. The two turned to see Techno, a mug of tea in his hand staring at his brothers. "What are you two doing?" He asked, sipping on his tea, somehow looking bored.

"Tommy wants to see the bastard's grave." Wilbur said, still crouched down in front of the door.

"Im coming too." Techno said, placing his mug onto the coffee table, waiting next to Tommy for Wilbur to unlock the door.

Wilbur shrugged and turned back to the door. He unlocked it with a quiet click, and swung it open. He went first, then Tommy, then Techno.

When they came out on the other side, the room was completely empty and dusty. Techno frowned upon seeing the room, and Tommy was nervous. Wilbur seemed unaffected by the sight, just led his brothers out of the apartment.

Tommy noticed the door was still broken, just boarded up. The sight made him uncomfortable, so he looked away.

As they walked out, Tommy realized they had no way to get to the graveyard itself. "How are we even gonna get there?" He asked, and as soon as he did, Wilbur stopped walking.

"Huh. I didn't think of that." Wilbur said, shrugging.

"We can steal a car." Techno spoke up, pointing to the parking lot of cars. Wilbur nodded, going towards the cars instead. The three tested to see if any were unlocked, but there weren't any.

But then Wilbur called them over to a car which had the key inside the car- visible from the window.

They stood huddled around the drivers side door, when Wilbur suddenly spoke. "Are you wearing a hairpin, Tech?"

"I am. Why?" Wilbur just pointed to the handle of the door, which was one that used the key to unlock it. Techno shrugged and handed Wilbur a small pink hairpin.

Wilbur quietly worked on the lock for a few minutes, before yanking on the handle. Which to Tommy's surprise; opened.

The brunette was about to slip into the drivers seat when Techno pulled him back by the arm. "No. You failed your drivers test five times."

"Fine. But i call shotgun." Wilbur said, already going around the car to sit in the front.

That meant Tommy would sit in the back. They all got in the car, and Wilbur started playing around with the radio, much to Techno's annoyance. "Do you really need to start with that?" Techno scowled, watching at Wilbur kept trying to turn on the radio.

"Yes." Wilbur said, muttering a few curse words when the radio didn't switch on at all. Techno rolled his eyes, and backed out of the parking spot, and glanced back at Tommy. Then, her promptly made a sharp turn, which sent Wilbur flying into the side door.

The idiot wasn't wearing his seatbelt yet. Wilbur began yelling at Techno, who had a smirk on his face. Tommy just watched, entertained by his brothers arguing.

As Wilbur kept yelling, he tried to turn the radio on. He succeeded when he slammed a hand down onto the dashboard. They all knew this when a sudden burst of noise other than Wilbur's shouting filled the car.

With that, Wilbur quieted down. He seemed perfectly pleased with himself. Techno had long since given up arguing with Wilbur, and just kept his eyes on the road.

The rest of the car-ride was quiet- excluding the music Wilbur was playing. Tommy looked out the window, watching the landscape fly by.

           Until the car stopped.

Techno switched the car off, and they all sat in silence. In front of the graveyard, in the car they stole. Until Wilbur opened his door, and held it open to talk to them. "Lets go." He mumbled, before slamming the door.

Both Tommy and Techno got out, and Wilbur began leading the way. Through the parking lot, and to the entrance of the graveyard.

Tommy thought the place was sort of eerie. At night, at least. It was dark and quiet, a forest surrounding it. The only sound was the echo of the crickets in the grass around them.

They made their way through the rows of graves, looking for the specific name. It was a miracle they could even see the names, it being so dark. But they could. And that was all that mattered.

Eventually, Wilbur came to a stop. Which in turn made Techno and Tommy stop too. And there it was. The stone engraved with his name.

                            "Dream Wastaken"
          "Wonderful friend, father, and person."

Tommy frowned as he looked at it. The words were a lie. But then again, no one really knew what he was actually like but Tommy.

He was glad he came to see it. The sight of it reassured him that Dream wouldn't be hurting him ever again. Like Wilbur and Techno had promised. But the proof was here in front of him too.

The three stood there and stared at it in silence for a long time. Until Tommy sighed, turned to them and gave them a small smile. "Thank you for taking me." He said, glancing back to the grave in front of them. This was what he needed. To see the grave- to truly let that part of his life go.

Let the past be just that. The past.

Wilbur smiled, and nodded. "It's no problem, Tommy."

Techno took a long look at the grave, before humming. "Lets go before dad noticed we left." Techno began walking back where they came, Tommy following after. Wilbur didnt move.

Tommy looked back at him. "Why aren't you coming, Wil?" Wilbur looked up from his staring at the stone, to Tommy. He gave Tommy a reassuring smile.

"I'll be just a minute. Wait by the car, alright?" Tommy shrugged, and went after Techno.

As soon as Tommy was gone, Wilbur stared at the grave with a certain disdain. Or hatred. Whatever you wished to call it. After a long moment of hate-filled staring, he spoke a single word.

         "Asshole."

He spat on the grave and went back the way they'd come.

Hello,

Once again, much like a lot of the other chapters i write, this is unedited.

I felt like coming back to this book.

I think I may do some editing and adding onto the story a little bit. In some time, though. Once I finish Golden Flower and White Roses.

I do like this book, and I think it was pretty ok for my first one.

Anyways,

Thank you once again to everyone who read this book.

Have a wonderful day/night!
