Few days had passed since the party at the French Embassy.
Mr Kim, Jin and Yoongi had another meeting with Mr Louis and Miss Carat regarding their cooperation. Yejin and Jimin were busy at the café, the others, with school.
It was now time to celebrate Jungkook's birthday, his 18 birthday. The family had organized a small private party with close friends at home and the young man would have another party with his friends and some of his brothers in a famous club in Gangnam later at night.
Mr Kim: Son, congratulations for your 18th birthday! (He lifted his champagne glass.) Time passes so fast; I can't believe that you grew up so much. (He hugged his son with proud in his eyes.)
Jungkook: Thanks Dad.
Jungkook hugged too his father. He was expecting to receive Yejin's congratulations after, but his mother let Jin to speak first as the elder brother. For her, it was a meaningful thing.
Jin: Little brother, congratulations, you're a grown man now. I know that I don't tell you this often, but I'm proud of the man that you become.
Jungkook: Hyung...
Jin: (He patted his head.) And you are also sometimes an annoying brat... our annoying little brat, but we can't really do anything about that, so, ... enjoy your day and never forget that your brother will always have your back.
Jungkook was deeply touched by his elder brother's words. Jin had a sincere smile and Jungkook shared with him a brotherly hug. It was now Yejin's time to congratulate him. The young man didn't let her say anything and engulfed her into a tight hug.
Mrs Son: Ohh... baby... what's going on? (She patted his back.)
Jungkook: Nothing, I'm just happy... to have everyone here...
Mrs Son: And everyone is glad to be able to wish you the best for your birthday. You are the star of the day after all.
Mrs Son: Jungkook baby, I think everyone is waiting to wish you a happy birthday.
Jungkook: (He kissed her cheek.) Thanks Mom... love you.
Mrs Son: I love you too baby.
Yejin let her son go with his brothers. Jimin, Taehyung and Hoseok did their anniversary ritual by hitting the youngest's back with friendly slaps. Then Namjoon exchanged few words with his little brother before another brotherly hug.
The last one was Yoongi. The one from whom Jungkook didn't know what to expect. Lately, the second eldest was not hiding his annoyance toward him and he was sure that he would not have kind words like Jin or encouraging words like Namjoon had.
Yoongi: So today is the day.
Jungkook: Let me guess, the day you want to throw me out of this house... or send me to Siberia? (He chuckled.)
Yoongi: (He smirked.) If only I could... but my little sister would not like that... unfortunately... I will have to bear with you...
Jungkook: I see that you are more than happy about that and... fortunately, my little sister has a kind heart, her...
Yoongi: Come on little bro... (He came closer.)... if I hadn't a kind heart with you, you would have been sent away 5 years ago... (He passed his hand behind Jungkook's neck and murmured to him.)... Fortunately, you changed from a stupid asshole to a kind older brother... and that's what matters I guess... Happy birthday...
Yoongi patted Jungkook's cheek before leaving. He had a smile on his face, a proud smile, that didn't escape Jungkook's stare. The young man was pleasantly surprised. He had the feeling to have gain his most difficult brother's recognition and it meant a lot to him. He was taken back from his thoughts by Y/N.
Y/N: Oppa... (He looked at her.) Happy birthday!
Jungkook: Thanks... finally, you took your time! Why did you wait so long? You didn't want to wish your brother a happy birthday?
Y/N: Don't be silly... I just waited my turn; like everyone else!
Jungkook: (He opened his arms.) Really, so give me a hug.
Y/N: Is it considered as your gift?
Jungkook: No way! (He pulled her into his embrace.) You don't like to hug me?
Y/N: It's not that...
Jungkook: So, what? (He messed up with her hair.)
Y/N: Ahhh... Oppaaaa!!! That's exactly why!!! Let me go!
Jungkook laughed while Y/N tried to detach herself from her brother's strong catch, but the height difference made it difficult for her. When the young man thought that he laughed enough, he let go of her. She glared at him, and he found that even more funny.
Jungkook: You always make me laugh...
Y/N: You... (She sighed.)... it's your birthday so I will let it slide.
Jungkook: Ahahah... what is that? What will you have done otherwise? Are you rebelling? (He grabbed her wrists.) So???
Jun: Jungkook... you are an adult now... stop teasing her...
Jun and Sohyun were also there to celebrate Jungkook's birthday. The young man laughed and released Y/N after a last special hug from him.
Jungkook: Now we're good, little sis'...
Y/N: Argh... Oppa, look at my hair! (She tried to rearrange her hair with Sohyun's help.)
Jungkook: What? You're super cute like that!
Sohyun: Jungkook... are you sure to turn 18 today?
Jungkook: Yeah, and you should wish me my birthday with a nice gift! (He put his hands in evidence with a big smile.)
Sohyun: (She handed him a bag.) You already have everything, anyway happy birthday.
Jun: Happy birthday. It's just a small gift but I hope that it will suit you. (He also gave him a bag.)
Jungkook: Thanks guys... you shouldn't have...
They all looked at him with a "Are you serious?"' gaze.
Jun: Somehow, seeing that some things are not changing is reassuring... (He smiled.)
Y/N: Hum... I still have the feeling to have a little brother sometimes instead of an older brother!
Jungkook: A little brother would not be as cute, handsome and kind as me...
Sohyun: And your self-esteem is still super high...
Y/N: You look more and more like Taehyung Oppa...
Jungkook: I'm just me... babies like you two can't understand... Jun Bro... (He put his arm around his shoulders.)... Don't forget tonight there is the after party... (He looked at the girls with an amused look.)... you know, the one where babies are not allowed to come...
Jun: I am not sure... it's not my thing those type of party...
Jungkook: You have to come!
Y/N: Don't force him to go if he doesn't want to go!
Sohyun:You see, no one wants to go to your party!
Jungkook: He is only polite because you two can't go. Don't mind them and come to have some fun... you always hang out with them... or studying...
Jun: Y/N is right, it seems like Taehyung is talking...
Y/N: (She took off Jungkook's arm of Jun.) You have other guests to greet... the babies will play on their side...
Y/N dragged Jun far from Jungkook and Sohyun stuck out her tongue at him, to show him how babyish she can act... he laughed. He liked to tease his little sister and her friend. They changed so much as times passed. They were still shy and reserved with others but not around family and close friends anymore and it made him feel happy and proud.
Jungkook went to greet Jun and Sohyun's parents. He received gifts from everyone, mostly luxurious brand's clothes but one gift was different : Ha-Ri's one. It was a white t-shirt with a photo of Namjoon smiling and Jungkook doing a grimace with the text: "Sorry to not be as handsome and smart as my brother... I'm doing my best to be like him". Jungkook frowned and looked once again at the t-shirt then at Ha-Ri.
Namjoon: What's wrong? You don't like it? Noona didn't let me take a look, but she said that everyone will love it.
Taehyung: Ahahah... Noona, you are exceptional.
Shin Ha-Ri: Thank you.
Jungkook: Hyung... your wife is mean with me! (He showed the t-shirt.) Noona... it's... I am more handsome that him... don't you see?! Look, look! (He pointed to his face.)
Namjoon: JK, Ha-Ri is a fair person. She only states the truth... you have to accept it.
Taehyung: Noona, I deeply respect you and promise to never bother you again in the future...
Shin Ha-Ri: Taehyung, are you afraid of receiving your birthday's gift in few months?
Taehyung: (He laughed.) No, I am sure that you will find the best gift for your favorite brother-in-law.
Shin Ha-Ri: You're cute. Anyway, happy 18th anniversary Jungkook. I wish you all the best... and be nice with my man! (She patted his head.)
Jungkook: Women in our family are devils with angel's faces.
Namjoon: Women are in command bro...
The rest of the private birthday party went well. Mr Ko and Mr Nam had prepared the best food for everyone and a huge cake.
After the cake, Mr Kim offered his gift to his youngest son, a car. Jungkook was expecting a new motorbike but at his mother's order, no bike for now, too dangerous.
Yejin offered him a nice watch that he immediately wore. Y/N found a matching bracelet to the watch that he wore too.
And just before the end of the party, Namjoon came back with an envelope. He gave it to Jungkook who was wondering what was it, as he already received his gift.
Jungkook: Hyung, what's this?
Namjoon: I'm not going to your after party, have fun with your friends. This is a gift from Ha-Ri and me. The real one. The t-shirt and my book were just a joke.
Jungkook: Really? (He opened the envelope.) It's for real? The full travel?
Namjoon: Yeah... apparently, you like those type of places.
Namjoon and Ha-Ri offered a 3 days, 2 nights to Disneyland Hong-Kong to Jungkook, following Yoongi's suggestions.
Jungkook: Daebak!
Namjoon: Yoongi Hyung gave us the idea... And I know that you will not go alone, so I guess, Tae and Y/N will, at least, be part of the trip... aish, it will cost me a fortune!
Jungkook: Thanks, Hyung... and give Noona a long kiss from me!
Namjoon: Shut up! Before I take it back! Go now, and don't do stupid things tonight and don't drink too much!
Jungkook quickly left to the SUV waiting for him in the garden alley. Taehyung, Jimin and Jun were already inside. Even Hoseok decided to have fun with them, and also maybe keep an eye on his little brothers. The other guests had left a little earlier.
Sohyun will pass the night here for a girls' night with Ha-Ri too.
After dinner, Yejin joined the girls at the outside pool while the men of the house shared a drink in the living room.
Yoongi: What a peaceful dinner... you see Father, you should have had daughters instead of all those boys. The ambiance is immediately better in the house.
Mr Kim: Thanks for sharing your love for your little brothers to us Yoongi. But you know, it's not like I could have decided about that!
Jin: Are you not feeling a bit strange to see Jungkook having 18 today?
Mr Kim: I am sad that your mother is not there to see how her sons became grown men... but I am not feeling old or whatever if it is your question.
Mr Kim smirked and added:
Mr Kim: I will feel old when one of you will bring me a grandchild.
Yoongi: Namjoon... you heard him...
Namjoon: You still have some years in front of you Dad, because I don't plan to have kids for now. I don't want to share my wife with a little creature for now!
Mr Kim: And you're right, because when you have kids, you can cut the precious time you spent with your wife by 10!
Jin: Fortunately, all of your children are old enough now to not steal so much of your precious time with your wife, right?
Mr Kim: Jungkook is a living proof that it's not a matter of age. And now, Taehyung is acting like him.
Yoongi: It's always funny to see that you're jealous of your own kids.
Mr Kim: Just like to see how you are jealous of your own brothers regarding your little sister.
Namjoon: I guess it's a thing with the men of our family...
Jin: (He put his glass up for a toast.) We can't change this...
Jungkook's party with his friends at the club went well too. The boys had a lot of fun, just like any boy having his 18th birthday party. He drunk a lot but didn't act like a stupid moron.
Y/N had asked Aman as a personal request, to keep an eye on them during the night and the bodyguard was glad to accept.
Around 2 in the morning, Jun wanted to go back home but he was stopped by a beautiful girl that wanted to know him better. The young man was not used to receive women's attention and became red of embarrassment when he noticed the smirk on the brothers' faces. He could escape thanks to Hoseok.
The surprise was two days later for him when the girl from the club showed up at his university, thanks to Jimin.
Jimin gave information to that girl, thinking that it could be good for his friend to see a girl, a girl that he thought could be a good girl for Jun. Because even if they met her in a club, Jimin quickly talked to her after Jun's departure, and he found her sincere. Jun agreed to take a coffee, even if he was not at ease at all by this all situation.

Few days passed quietly. It was Wednesday and this weekend was Jun's birthday. Y/N wanted to buy him a nice gift. Jungkook proposed to go with her, and he could also find something for him. They agreed to go back home first to change and by the same occasion, Jungkook wanted to take his car, even if Y/N said that they could go directly in Aman's car, that it was simpler.
Jungkook: You know that I am very serious when driving. You are not afraid, right?
Y/N: I know, I trust you. It's just that in every case, Aman will have to go with us and it's useless to take two cars.
Jungkook: There is always a car following you everywhere anyway. Aman is not the only bodyguards keeping a look at you, you know.
Y/N: What?
Jungkook: Forget about that. What do you plan to buy?
Y/N: I thought about a graphics tablet. He started to draw recently so it can maybe help him. What do you think?
Jungkook: That's a really nice gift. Let's go to Yongsan.

Y/N: (She stared at him.) I hope that the three of you are not playing with Jun's feelings!
Jungkook: What? No! Jun is our friend. What do you think of us?
Y/N stared at him with intensity to find out if he was lying.
Y/N: Jun is timid, he is not like all of you with girls.
Jungkook: Eh, are you jealous? (She frowned.) He is 21, do you think that he never dated a girl before? Well, maybe not in fact...
Y/N: What I mean is do not embarrass him about that subject. Jimin Oppa knows how Jun is.
Jungkook entered the parking lot of the Yongsan Electronics Market, followed by Aman's car, who was with a second bodyguard on the passenger seat. They parked and the two men in charge of the siblings' security followed them at a reasonable distance.
Jungkook: Jimin only wanted to help his friend, there is nothing bad in that.
Y/N: So, one day, he will help me to find a kind boyfriend too... (She said that just like that for fun, but Jungkook heard her and stopped.)
Jungkook: What? (His gaze became darker.)
Y/N: (She titled her head and smiled.) I was just joking...
Jungkook: Yeah... I bet you were... (He flicked her forehead.) You're becoming more and more bold! (He walked toward the stairs.)
Y/N: Aouch... Jungkook!!! (He stopped again and turned himself to look at her with an even darker gaze.)... Euh... Oppa... Jungkook Oppa... it hurts... (She walked slowly toward him, pouting.)
Jungkook: You... are you playing with my nerves today? And stop with that face, I know that it doesn't hurt... You're... aish...
Y/N laughed at her brother's expression. She didn't know why but it was easy for her to tease Jungkook now. He was really annoying when he was childish but when he was playing the serious big brother, she wanted to be the childish one. It was how their relationship was now. On his own way, he made her realized what a kid should be, carefree. And compared to Yoongi's serious gaze, Jungkook's "serious" gaze was not so scary.

Y/N: (She rolled her eyes, and he almost flicked her forehead again.) I met her a moment ago with Jin Oppa... and I am sure that she has a crush on him.
Jungkook: Really? How could you be so sure? I bet he denied.
Y/N: The way she looked at him was pretty obvious... and yes, he denied. She was with her cousin who was clearly onto Yoongi Oppa. I am sure that she dates him.
Jungkook: And I can assure you that Yoongi doesn't date her... he sleeps with her, maybe, but he is not dating her, as you are imagining.
Y/N: (She covered her ears.) Oppa!!!
Jungkook: You don't want to hear that your favorites brothers are not perfect guys??? (He pulled her hands and laughed.)
Shop Owner: Excuse me... can I help you? This place is not a playground for kids.
Y/N: Sorry... (She saw the woman looking at her with surprise.)...
Park Hyerin:Hello... you are...
Y/N: (She bowed; a bit embarrassed .) Ah, hello. I'm Kim Seokjin little sister, Y/N.
Jungkook: Jungkook, his little brother. (He smiled.) So, you're dating Jin Hyung? (Y/N elbowed him, even more embarrassed.)
Park Hyerin: (She became red.) What? No! I... I... He helped me once... that's all.
Jungkook: (He smirked.) Yeah... sure... he is a real knight...
Y/N: Oppa!!! Stop! Sorry Miss...
Park Hyerin: Park Hyerin... hum... are you here to buy something in particular?
Y/N: Ah, yes... a graphics tablet, but I don't know anything about what is good or not.
Park Hyerin: Oh, really? I can help you... I mean, if you need help.
Y/N: If you can, please. Are you familiar with tablets?
Park Hyerin: I am an interior designer... (She bent to murmur.)... and I also draw webtoon... but more as a side job for now...
Y/N: Really? Wow... it's amazing. (Hyerin blushed.)
Hyerin showed Y/N different models of graphics tablets and explained their functioning. Jungkook was roaming in the shop, more interested by the headphones. But as a devilish little brother, he firstly took a picture of that woman and send it to Jin with the text: "Hyung, nice catch...".
Jin asked him where they were, but the teenager didn't reply, amused by the frustration readable in Jin's message.
Y/N found Hyerin very nice. She took the time needed for her, and Y/N opted for an intermediate tablet, following the young woman's advices. As Jun was just starting to draw, she thought it was enough. Hyerin's phone rung for the 3rd times but she rejected the call, once again, trying to dissimulate her troubled gaze.
Y/N: Everything is okay? You are maybe awaited at work?
Park Hyerin: No, it's nothing important. A spam call.
Y/N: Thank you for you help today.
Park Hyerin: I am glad to have been able to help you a little.
Y/N: Are you okay to show me your webtoon?
Jungkook heard his sister, and he was curious too about what type of webtoon the young woman was drawing.
Jungkook: I am also curious to see... is it for an adult public only?
Park Hyerin: (She blushed once again.) What? No! It's basic romance webtoon...
Y/N: Oppa! What's wrong with you today?! Sorry...
Jungkook: I am joking... Look at her reactions, it's so funny!

The trio left the shop, the owner was looking at them with insistence, finding them a bit too much noisy.
Y/N insisted to offer something to drink to Hyerin to thank her, so they went to the 4th floor where there was a small coffee booth, near the cinema. Jungkook ordered drinks for everyone while Y/N and Hyerin waited at a standing table. The young woman took out her phone and showed her work to Y/N.
Hyerin said that it was merely a side job but her webtoon was published on an official and well known webtoon application.
Y/N: I use that app... I will follow you and read your story.
Park Hyerin: You don't have to...
Y/N: You know, I really like to read classical books and lately, I started to read a lot of webtoons. So, be able to meet an author is so cool...
Park Hyerin: You make me blush... I am just an amateur.
Jungkook came back with the drinks and took a look at Hyerin's drawing. He had to admit that she was skilled.
Jungkook: Y/N, I need to pee. Don't go anywhere!
Y/N: (She shook her head.) Can you believe that he just turned 18?
XX: Hyerin, why are you not answering my calls? Stop avoiding me!
A voice man resonated behind the young woman. Her smile disappeared in an instant. It was her ex-boyfriend. He was harassing her since weeks.
