being the younger sister of an actor was hard. You didn't want to be in the limelight well right now anyway. But you wanted to spend time with your older brother Evan. He was six years older than you him only being twenty four and you only being eighteen.
It was hard most of the time to spend time with your brother outdoors. His fans asking him for pictures occasionally asking if your could join in, but Evan would explain the situation. His fans were great they would respect both of your wishes you would talk with them.
It was the paparazzi you didn't really like they wouldn't really respect your wishes. Evan would asks them not to photograph you both but they wouldn't listen. Which would upset you both. One day you had a thought about everything and what to do with your life. Coming to the conclusion that you want to follow in your big brothers footsteps.
You were seeing Evan again at his place letting yourself in a usual routine you did. You wondered for a bit eventually finding your brother in the kitchen cooking some dinner for you both. "Hey broski" you smiled hoisting yourself up on the counter, Evan stirring the pot of pasta you contemplated on telling him your news or not.
"There's something on your mind?" He says his eyes still on the pot in front of him. "It's just well I want to do acting" you sighed you knew if you go as far as Evan did you would really have time for yourself outdoors. "Okay what made you choose this y/n it's not all glamorous you should know" Evan's eyes now on yours. Swallowing a lump in your throat you didn't really have a proper explanation on why you wanted to choose this as a career path.
"Well I guess just hanging out with you all the time and I looked up to you since I was little Evan I guess I just want to be like you" you summed up. Evan felt his heart flutter with pride knowing he's a good role model for you. "We'll if it's really what you want to do then do it I'll help you out,of course if you want me to but no adult scenes I'm warning you" he said you let out a small chuckle shaking your head."Oh god no" you laughed.
(Two years later)
You fixed your dress looking at yourself in the mirror. You felt so nervous the palms of your hands sweating downing another glass of Prosecco. "Y/n we're ready for you now" the production team called out. You felt like you were going to faint till you felt a hand on your shoulder.
"You ready" Evan smiled you turned to face him taking deep breaths. "You don't mind coming out here with me Evan?" You asked running a hand through your hair. "Of course i don't, wouldn't want my little sis going out on a red carpet on her own now do I" he says guiding you to the carpet.
All the flashing cameras overwhelmed you, Evans hand on your back making sure you knew he was right beside you, but you felt like you were hyperventilating. 'Oh god not now' you thought feeling light headed. This couldn't be happening on your first ever movie premiere. Before you knew it the tears pricked your eyes and your breathing got worse.
Evan immediately noticed this taking you away from the red carpet. "One more y/n" one of the photographers yelled continuously but you couldn't hear. "No more pictures please" Evan politely said taking you further along the carpet.
"Just one more, just one more" the photographers kept asking annoying Evan as he kept refusing. But they never stop pleading, this was what Evan feared the most for you when I came to the media and whatnot and his fear became a reality.
"Look man I said no more pictures can't you see she's having a panic attack" Evan yelled in frustration. You both got to the end of the carpet avoiding everyone else Evan took you to a secluded area sitting you down on a chair. Your head felt it was going 100 miles an hour you found it hard to breathe.
"I can't do this Evan I can't do this" you repeated over and over again. Evan just held you in his arms like he always did whenever you had a panic attack. "Hey it's okay take deep breaths just copy me okay" he instructed now in front of you taking deep breaths for you to mimic.
Eventually you calmed down regaining your breath. Everything finally dawned on you what happened back there. "What have I done Evan I'm ruined now and I haven't even started my career" you worried about what the media would say that you couldn't even handle being photographed at a red carpet event, "you haven't ruined your career y/n. You never done anything like this before and you panicked, it overwhelmed you and that's completely normal and understandable". Evan assured you let out a small smile to your brother and his words of assurance.
"I think I'm ready to go back out there ev" you said after a few moments of trying to regain yourself fully. "Remember I'm here with you the full time, and take deep breaths" Evan told you as you hooked your arm with his walking to where the screening of your movie will be.
The next morning you woken up feeling a lot better. You laid in bed just thinking about last night you still wished you didn't have a panic attack. But you knew you couldn't have help it regardless. You heard a knock on your room door. Then the handle turned revealing your brother who had stayed the night to make sure you were fine.
"Morning" Evan smiled walking into your room with two cups of coffee offering you one with a sympathetic smile. "How's my little sister doing" he then asked sitting on the edge of your bed taking a sip of the bitter caffeine. "A lot better I'm too scared to look on my phone though in case i have bad press before my career even kickstarted" you sighed also taking a sip of you drink.
"We'll I'm sure a lot of people will understand that it was a huge event to go through a lot of pressure god I was almost like you when I had my first movie premiere I still get like that" Evan's words comforted you in some way you guessed that it was because of the amount of tv shows and movies he had and the award ceremonies he still gets a little stage fright after all those years.
"I'll have a look online" you whisper searching for your phone on the nightstand. Typing your password in and looking at all news articles from instagram, Facebook, twitter and Google. you saw the tabloids had their words to say which you weren't really interested in since they say anything to get views. What you were most interested in was the public's reactions end of the day your small yet growing fan base was from fans of your big brother.
"Well ?". Evan asked your eyes stayed fixated on the screen of your phone reading through the articles. Staying silent Evan took that as his queue to check with you. Shifting himself to sit beside you on the bed peering over your shoulder to look at the critics of last night.
All you both saw was people sticking up for you, wishing you felt better and that you were okay now. You saw some of the mean comments but the nice one's overtook the negative making you feel better. You couldn't help but laugh at Evan blushing that his fans were commenting how cute it was he got over protective of you and that he was a amazing big brother for taking you away from the situation.
"They aren't bad sure a few negative one's but everyone gets those I told you everything will all play out in the end" Evan praised making you smile giving him a hug. "Thanks ev" you whispered pulling away from him. He ruffled your hair knowing that annoys you "no problem kiddo" he smiles back at you.
