Author's POV...
Uyir woke up and saw the clock next to her it showed 4.47 ...
So still there is time for everyone in that house to wake up... Again Sleeping was not possible for her now..... So she did her daily routine... She didn't take a bath... It's too early for that... She will take a calm and long bath when this house again regains this same silence after everyone leaves for their work... She will be left alone in this house and she will do whatever she wishes... some days just go by her sleeping all day without moving out of bed due to her laziness....
She doesn't go out frequently it's rare to spot her outside her house... Not because she doesn't need to explore the world she just finds it unnecessary for her... She is happy with staying at home and doing household work sometimes whenever she pleases and taking care of the garden and reading the book collection of her paternal grandparents.... It's her happiness, her small world which she loves and being loved by everyone in this house.....
She went to kitchen to prepare coffee for herself that's when she noticed her mother's study room light were on that means she is up already....so uyir poured coffee on another cup for her mother and went to that study room.... She didn't knocked as it was already half open and both of her hands are busy... Her mother was correcting the answer sheets...
She looked up and saw her daughter.... Gowri eyed her to come and sit beside her...
Uyir gave Gowri her cup of coffee which she got and sipped....
Gowri : Hmmmm... It's good papa... ... Time flies soon... I still remember how you show tantrums to get out of that bed in morning to get ready for school... Now you yourself woke up and gave me coffee...
Uyir : Because I don't have anything to do mii..
Gowri: hmmmm...... Papa... What do you think about today's meeting... Are you okay with it?
Uyir: I don't know miii...
Gowri chuckled...
Gowri: "I don't know "This should be your tagline because you use that very often most of your answers are like that papa...
Uyir: I can't help it... I couldn't describe what I feel sometimes I don't get it right... So it's easy to admit I don't know...
Gowri: Easy escape...
Uyir: hmhmmm... May be..... That stops further conversation all the time... Which I am fond of... I am not into long conversations.
Gowri: Now you are having one with me... What is this then?..
Uyir: With you everything is different. Because you are my mii...I can never hide anything I always fail at that so... With others I don't know I can speak this much... I will get tired I don't want to bother them.
Gowri: soon you will find another person with whom you won't get tired of having a long conversation.
Uyir: So that's why you guys want me to meet him today...
Don't you think you guys are indirectly saying to me that you all want to get rid of me...
Gowri: If you truly think like that then please don't go today. I will say you appa to cancel all this....
Uyir : miiii... Why are you like this
Gowri : like what... This is me... What you expecting from me other than that.....
Uyir : Try to convince me miii.. Say words like you have to find your partner.. You are not doing then let us do and just meet him once if you don't like him we will leave that kind of words...
Gowri signed...
Gowri : I have nothing to do with this papa.... His parents liked you for him and asked you father... He directly came to you to and said it... You agreed because you don't find any reason to say no.....
If you don't want it say no... That's it it's not a big problem and trust me I will be the first one who would be happy of you don't want to get married now....
Uyir : Why...
Gowri : because of your father... He already started ranting about how can he be away from his dear daughter... My ears are already bleeding...
And I am sure that man is going to cry on your wedding for sure... He is already doing pre preparation...
And Aghat.. He digged that boy's whole generation details to check is he okay for you are not. He already kept men to watch his actions.... He was already in alert mode..
Don't even ask about your brothers... I can't even Imagine how I am going to manage them all... When it's comes to you every men in this house become a sensitive child....
So if you said you are not okay then it's beneficial for me..
Uyir : aren't you sad about me leaving you miii....
Gowri : I am not. I am immune to it... Every mother who gave birth to daughter know that moment will come when her daughter will leave her.....
So she prepare herself from then for accepting that separation. And Indian mother's are pro at that.....she always keep on reminding her daughter she is not going to be with her parents forever...in fact every single day that daughter gets that remainder papa........
For men this thought arise very late... They realize that fact much later so they couldn't able to take that change immediately.....
Uyir : Miiiii
Gowri : yes....
Uyir : Don't you think I am disappointment to this family and you???
Gowri chucked and shook her head in disbelief...
Gowri: You know papa.. When I asked the exact question to my amma..... Her reply was that she found out that I fell in love with your father and she showed me his photo and asked me is that was him...
She was the one who said me to go and say my love to him.. If he take it it's his fortune or else it's his fault.....
Here you are after years asking me the same question and I am not in the position to say you the same answer..... Because you are not in love instead you are going to meet the man who asked your hands for marriage... Exactly like my story but your father directly asked me but this man is actually going to meet you for there first time....
Even if you don't like him and say you want to wait for more years till you find someone you love no one is going to object you.... In this house no one can say that as most of everyone's is love marriage....
Uyir : Exactly that bothering me.... Everyone was in love before marriage except me..
Gowri : So what... It's not the rule in this house everyone should get married only after fell in love..
Love should happen organically papa... You can't force it...just because you want to fell in love it won't happen.. It will happen randomly.
None of us know before that we are going to fell in love... I actually thought I am incapable of fall in love with someone but when your father showed up out of no where I did fell i love but that didn't happened in single day... It took time lot of inner battles happen till I accept the fact that I was in love.....
We can't predict everything... If we can don't you think life would be boring...
Uyir : Miiii... You are not helping me now.... You are just making it worse...my family supports love but I don't love anyone that's worse...
Gowri : I don't know about me but you are disturbing my work right now....
See papa if you want to meet him go... If you don't want don't go... If you are clueless just go and sleep .... If there is an slight eagerness to see who that man is you will go there automatically....
Now get out of my study.. I have to finish this before this house become a warzone where everyone is hurry for their work and chaos Everywhere... It won't affect you because you will be an spectator enjoying the show where I would be one among them....

Uyir : Okay okay.... I am leaving you alone... Enjoy correcting the papers and get yourself ready to face your students cursing and pleading during distribution...

Gowri : You are actually making me feel bad at early morning...
Uyir: Tit for tat miii...
She said and left the room with two empty cups.... Gowri smiled and shook her head before again concentrating on the work in hand......
Just then her daughter again peaked through the door.... Gowri looked up and raised her eyebrow..
Uyir : I will meet him today...
Gowri : Are you sure....
Uyir : Yesss
Gowri : Finally I didn't get to hear another " I don't know " As answer from my daughter...
Now it's happy morning for me...
Uyir smiled and left the room.....
