My brown eyes wandered across the crowd and stopped at a pair of sea green ones.
They reflected my red dress in them...
And as burning with rage, they turned red...
I recognized them immediately...

Looking at me directly he smirks...
I read his lips as they say, "Found you"
Shivers rose through my spine.
I averted my gaze and wiped the cold sweat of my face.
Then looked at him again to be sure if I was not seeing things...
But unfortunately I wasn't.
He stood there in his black suit within the crowd...
His eyes fixed on me...
"Josh, go introduce her to the guests" Mr Leon whispers into Josh's ears.
"Sure, let's go Lisha!" Josh says to me.
But I paid no heed to his words.
Because my heart was shrouded in fear and my eyes looked elsewhere.
I stood there like a statue.
"Lisha?" He called my name.
No response.
"Lisha!??" He called again.
Still no response.
"Lisha? Are you okay?" He asked, this time shaking me by the arm.
I gasped in reaction.
"Lisha? What's wrong? Are you not feeling well??" He asks, worried.
"No... That's not it. I was just very surprised..." I say.
"That's very natural. It's your engagement day afterall!" Me Leon laughs.
"Yes, you're right" I smile nervously.
"No need to worry, you will get used to it- Josh take her to meet the guests" he says.
"Sure, Dad" saying that Josh holds my arm and takes me to the guests.
A lot of bigshots were present in the party, I entertained them all with a smile.
Working in my company, I had good experience in handling our clients.
That is why it was easy for me to interact with these people.
I got so lost in the small talks and laughs that I almost forgot about what happened a while ago.

"What are you talking about Mikhail? Me forgetting you? Never gonna happen!" Josh smiles widely and hugs Mikhail as if they were very close friend.
"How have you been?" Mikhail asks.

(братан means brother in Russian)
"Oh how could I not? Its my братан engagement afterall!" He says.
Then eyeing me from top to bottom.
"I must say you have found a very fine woman, братан..."
I feel his intense gaze over me.
"I know, she is an angel" Josh says, blushing.
"Or maybe a Роковая женщина??" He smirks.
(Роковая женщина means femme fatale)
"Hahaha you are very funny!" Josh laughs.
All the time I stand still with my mluth shut. My face has grown pale, my heart beat fast.
"Mikhail!! Здравствуйте!!" Mr Leon rushes to greet him.
"Здравствуйте uncle!" Mikhail shakes his hand.
(Здравствуйте means hello)
So this guy is close with Mr Leon as well!?
"I am so glad to see you here!"
"The pleasure is mine uncle"
"By the way have you met my daughter in law?"
"Oh shoot, I forgot to introduce them!" Josh says.
"Lisha this is Mikhail, my best friend and also our business partner. Mikhail this is my to be wife, Lisha" Josh introduces us.
"C'mon Josh the term business partner is not enough! He is like your brother, you both practically grew up together didn't you?" Mr Leon laughs.
"That is correct. He is my dear friend and has great contributions to our company's success. Actually without him we couldn't have come this far..." Josh adds.

"Nah, its true! Anyways enough with the small talk now, its time for party!" Mr Leon rejoiced.
The men disperse in the crowd to have drinks, I follow behind them quietly and politely refuse alcohol.
Mikhail on the other hand gets very drunk. I am deeply surprised at how well he van drink.

"I'll be back from the washroom" I say and leave.

Mikhail's green eyes watched her hazy figure as it disappeared through the crowd.
The night grows louder. The guests dance in the rhythm of the music. Josh gets drunk and loses himself to the music, so much so that he forgets about his missing fiancée.
And also his drunk братан.
Mikhail walks outside the party hall to the ladies washroom.
Inside, stood Lisha...
Looking at herself in the mirror...
Her brown eyes turned towards the door as it opened.
And their eyes met again...
"Found you" he smirks again.
"What the hell are you doing over here!? This is the ladies washroom!" I gasped.
"Oh is it?" He asks.
Then walks towards me with a bottle in his hand.
"If you were to become another man's woman like this..." he approached me.
I stepped back in fear.
"Then that night, why did you..." he twists his eyebrows.
My back hits the wall, as I realise there's nowhere to escape.
He moves even closer, closing the gap between us.
So much so that he could hear my heart beat!
"Stop it, Mikhail! I am your friend's fiancée!" I say.
"Shhhh..." he puts a finger on my lips.
"Don't mention that...cause if I hear that word from your mouth I don't know what I'll do myself!" He says, his voice husky, his eyes dead cold.
As if a prey before its hunter, I start getting shivers up my spine!
"Let me go...Someone will see us like this!" I plead him.
"Let them. Let them see it! Does he know what kind of a dirty woman you are in bed? Does he know what you did that night?" He smirks.
"Mikhail!!!" I scream at him.
"Yes, just like that! I want to hear you scream my name and only mine, Lisha!" He says.
Just then I hear noises from outside the washroom door.
