CHAPTER FIFTEEN:
"Sooo, do we know this person?"
"Hmm hmm?"
"Is he close with us?"
"Hmm hmm hmm?"
"Does he approve of us as your besties?"
The questions both Nezuko and Tanjiro were bombarding at (Y/N) was relentless and unforgiving. They were determined to know everything.
Sitting down on the Tatami mat with Nezuko and Tanjiro, (Y/N) took a deep breath, trying to compose herself before answering their questions.
Her face was still flushed with embarrassment, but she appreciated their understanding and support.
"Okay, one question at a time, please," (Y/N) said with a shy smile.
In the quiet room, Nezuko turned to (Y/N), her eyes filled with curiosity. "Hmm hmm hmm?" she asked gently.
With a nervous smile and a long pause, (Y/N) finally mustered the courage to respond, "My crush's name? ...It's Kyojuro Rengoku."
The room went silent for a moment, and then Inosuke, amidst chasing Zenitsu, chimed in.
"That's a lame secret, we already know that one."
"Wait... Seriously?"
Surprised and flustered, (Y/N) looked at Tanjiro, seeking confirmation.
Tanjiro nonchalantly shrugged and said, "Yeah, it wasn't much of a secret. We all noticed you had a big crush on Rengoku-Sensei."
Blushing furiously, (Y/N) couldn't believe how obvious it was to everyone.
She stammered, "Was it really that obvious?"
In unison, everyone nodded, and (Y/N) couldn't help but bury her face in her hands, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement at the situation.
"Yeap, totally obvious."
"Hmm hmm."
"We found out about it after like, a week."
"Yes. Lame secret."
As Senjuro arrived and saw the scene before him, he looked puzzled and inquired about what he had missed.
Senjuro joined the group, he noticed the atmosphere in the room and asked, "What did I miss?"
Tanjiro quickly filled him in, saying, "You missed (Y/N) admitting her crush on Rengoku-Sensei."
(Y/N)'s head shot up, feeling even more embarrassed now, and she asked, "You knew about it too?"
Senjuro placed the chips he had on the table and shyly replied, "Well, yeah. The connection between you and my big brother was super obvious."
Blushing once again, (Y/N) couldn't help but feel a mix of astonishment and amusement at how everyone seemed to know her secret feelings.
She found herself at a loss for words, but also relieved that the truth was out in the open.
"I'm going to die of embarrassment." (Y/N) said before diving back into the pillows to hide her shame.
"Oh don't be, (Y/N)!" Tanjiro reassured her with a gentle pat on the back, "Literally every woman within a mile radius finds Rengoku-Sensei interesting. Just look at that girl who's always hovering around him."
Nezuko decided to join the conversation. "Hmm hmm?"
"Yeah, I think that's her name. It's Vivian, I think?"
"It's Vivian." (Y/N) grumbled, annoyance burning in her tongue. "She's Elias' cousin."
As the squad sat on the Tatami mat, munching on chips, Senjuro couldn't help but be curious about Vivian.
He asked (Y/N), "Who is this Vivian girl, and why is she always hovering around my big brother?"
(Y/N) took a moment to think before responding, "I'm not entirely sure about their history, but there's something about Vivian that feels off to me."
Inosuke, after devouring his bowl of chips, chimed in with a boisterous laugh and teased, "Ha! You're just jealous!"
Blushing furiously, (Y/N) was caught off guard by Inosuke's blunt remark, but she didn't deny it.
Her heart had been entangled in her feelings for Kyojuro, and the presence of Vivian around him had indeed sparked a twinge of jealousy within her.
Tanjiro's observations caught everyone's attention, and he shared his concerns about Vivian's behavior, noting how she seemed to act like a girlfriend around Kyojuro.
Curiosity peaked, Tanjiro directly asked Senjuro, "Is Rengoku-Sensei dating that Vivian girl? You must know, Senjuro-Since he's your brother and all."
Senjuro quickly corrected Tanjiro's assumption, saying, "Oh! No, I don't think so. You know my big brother likes-" He paused, realizing he was about to reveal more than he intended.
And then continued, "...He's not into pushy or clingy girls."
Tanjiro nodded in understanding and resumed munching on his chips, paying attention to the amusing argument between Inosuke and Zenitsu.
Meanwhile, Senjuro couldn't help but steal glances at (Y/N) reading a book, feeling a mix of emotions.
He scolded himself mentally, realizing he shouldn't have said too much about his big bother and Vivian.
It seemed like he unintentionally made (Y/N) uncomfortable, and he regretted it.
'Careful, Senjuro.' He reminded himself. 'Don't say too much. It's not your story to tell-(Y/N) will find out soon.'
As the squad continued their sleepover, each member seemed to be occupied with their own activities, deviating from the original purpose of working on the group project.
Inosuke and Zenitsu engaged in a lively card battle, Nezuko rolled around on the Tatami mat, and Senjuro and Tanjiro were engrossed in school-related discussions.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) remained engrossed in her book, finding solace in the pages.
However, the peaceful atmosphere was interrupted when the door suddenly clicked open, revealing a drunken-looking Kyojuro.
He swayed and seemed absolutely woozy, catching everyone's attention with surprise and concern.
"Rengoku-Sensei-! Are you alright?" Tanjiro asked with worry evident in his voice.
Tanjiro's concern for Rengoku-Sensei was evident as he asked if he was alright.
Senjuro, on the other hand, couldn't help but be amazed by his older brother's drunken feat.
"Woah-How did you get up the stairs without falling, big brother?" Senjuro asked him.
(Y/N) quickly got up, shocked to see their teacher in such a state, and rushed to help him.
But before she could reach him, Kyojuro suddenly passed out and fell to the ground, where he started snoring.
The room was filled with a mix of laughter, concern, and amusement at the sight. The squad gathered around their sensei, making sure he was in a comfortable position.
Tanjiro suggested, "Maybe we should move him to the futon so he can rest properly."
Nezuko, ever the caring one, fetched a blanket and gently placed it over Kyojuro, ensuring he was warm and cozy.
"Hmm hmm." She exclaimed.
"This won't do. We have to move my big brother to his room." Senjuro sighed, "Can you guys help me?"
Despite the unexpected turn of events, the squad continued to enjoy their sleepover, even if it included taking care of their inebriated teacher.
