He's going to freak out and leave me. I just know it. I can't tell him, but there's no way that I'll be able to hide it from him. I stare at the positive pregnancy test in my hand and tears begin to flow down my cheeks. This can't be happening.
We're not even married. He proposed just a month ago, but I don't even know if I'll be a good wife - let alone a mother.
Nicklas is always away with hockey and I don't know if I'll be able to care for a child on my own. Of course I'll have help with my mother and father, but being a mother is so much more than the physical things like changing a diaper.
I hear a knock on the bathroom door.
"(Y/N), what's going on?" Nicklas asks through the door.
"Nothing." I speak up, trying to sound happy.
"Please, open the door." He pleads. His voice sounds so shaky, and I can tell that he's truly concerned.
"I'll be out in a little bit." I try to sound happy, but my voice gives it all away.
"Please, (Y/N)." He begs. I give in and open the door, revealing my red, tear-stained face. "Oh my gosh, what's wrong baby?" He engulfs me into a hug and I sob into his shoulder even harder.
"Please, don't leave me." I plead.
"Tell me what's going on, why would I leave you?" I look up at him, with all my courage and tell him the most shocking news that I've heard in my entire life.
"I'm pregnant."
He looks stunned and backs away an inch, placing his hands on my shoulders.
"Y-Your pregnant?" I nod my head. "We're going to be parents?" His voice sounds excited, I nod my head again.
"I'm gonna be a dad!" He says and lifts me up, spinning me around.
"You're excited?" I ask him after he sets me down.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" He asks me.
"We're not married and we don't know anything about being parents."
"I knew that I wanted kids with you one day, I just didn't know it would happen this soon. I know that you're going to be a great wife and an even better mother. I love you, (Y/N). I'll be with you every step of the way."
I smile at him and he wipes the tears away from my eyes.
"I love you too, Nicklas."
