It was now the 22, November 2022.
A week and 2 days after the kiss.
The kiss that Maisie and Lando shared.
They haven't mentioned it once since. They did like nothing happened..
But it was still on their minds..
But it was complicated.
Well, it wasn't really complicated, but for them it was..
Lando didn't bring up the kiss again because he thought that Maisie regretted it. He saw that she haven't said a word about it so he came to his own conclusion..
On the other hand, Maisie didn't regret the kiss at all. She realised at that very moment that she liked Lando. That she liked him more than just a friend. But she thought he regretted the kiss, so she didn't mention it either..
(Between us they were both really stupid..)
Anyway, Maisie was finally going to see Lando. She was excited actually. They were going to "celebrate" his birthday, well it was a late birthday celebration but since his birthday was a Sunday of race he couldn't really celebrate it!
Just a restaurant, and some friends.
Something simple,
One of the thing Maisie liked the most about Lando was that even if he was famous, rich, he was simple.
Anywho, she was now on a FaceTime with Max, they were talking about everything and nothing.
"when is the dinner tonight again?" max asked to the girl
"seriously? you forgot?" maisie chuckled
"yes"
"you're stupid but eight" she informed him as she finished applying her lipstick, and then looked the camera to see Lando?
"maisieee" he spoke exaggerating on the 'e'
"landooo" she imitated him, also exaggerating on the last letter "how are you?" she warmly smiled
"i'm good, and you?"
"great thanks! you're here since when?"
"an hour, something like that"
"and you didn't answered to my texts!"
"sorry sorry, i'm going to see the messages" he talked
"you better!"
"i'm the third wheel and it was supposed to be a call between me and maisie" max commented taking his phone from Lando's hands
"okay okay i'm going and yes isie i'm going to see what you sent to me" lando said to the girl
"stop calling me isie"
"never" he smiled and finally left the room,
"ugh, you two forgot me" max commented "and so maisie"
"yes?"
"so, you like him?" he curiosity demanded, he knew that Lando liked Maisie. And she'd never really told him but he knew that Maisie liked Lando too.
"i'm so not going to answer to that"
"why?"
"because he's literally in the same place as you, he would hear me and i don't want him to hear me" she explained
"i'll take that as a yes"
"shut up" she said "anywho, i gotta go now"
"what do you have to do?"
"work, i have a meeting and i'll see you tonight"
"okay, good luck for the meeting. Bye" he waved at the camera
"bye!" she waved back and hung up
Then she took her purse, got out of her house to get into her car, and she saw that she received a message from Lando,
"what is this meeting?"
"how do you know i have a meeting?"
"max told me"
"oh okay, well it's a meeting for a partnership"
"oh okay, well good luck with that. and you'll update me about it after!"
"obviously"
She smiled to her herself and headed to the company's office.
After about 30/35 minutes she arrived. She parked her car and entered the reception, a bit stressed. She hoped it will go well, and that she will 'have' this partnership!
"hello, i'm Maisie Green" the girl introduced herself "i'm here for a meeting with William Wright"
"hello, yeah give me five seconds" the receptionist said as she looked at the screen of her computer and typed something "okay, yes you have an appointment. It's on the second floor, second door on the left"
"thank you" Maisie smiled and moved away from the reception to the elevator.
She arrived at the second floor and walked to the second door on the left like the receptionist said. She took a deep breath and then knocked at the door, which was immediately opened.
"hello! you must be maisie green!" a warm smile greeted her and gestured for her to enter
"hello, yes it's me!"
"You can sit here" she said pointing to a couch behind "William will be here in just a few minutes don't worry"
"okay, thank you"
"and last thing, do you want something to drink?"
"um, yeah water please?" maisie asked, the water could help to de-stress her
The older woman came back with a glass of water and handed it to maisie, who quickly drank it. And just a few minutes later William, arrived in the room. When Maisie saw him she immediately got up and shook the hand he held it out,
"hello! So, i guess you're maisie green"
"yes it's me!"
"okay, you can follow me" He indicated and she followed him to his office.
He sat at his place and Maisie sat at the opposite.
"So let's get straight to the point! The partnership!"
And that's how for a while they talked about the partnership, the conditions, how it will go.
Tomorrow she's going back to this place but to have a photoshoot. With a Cannes bag,
Maisie got out of the company with a smile on her face, she got this partnership! And it wasn't just any brand, it was Louis Vuitton!
As on the outward ride, after 30/35 minutes Maisie arrived home and immediately called Lando!
"LANDO!" she yelled happily
"YES WHAT'S GOING ON?" he yelled back, worried?
"I GOT THE PARTNERSHIP!"
"oh my god i thought that something happened to you!"
"no, no, no don't worry!" she chuckled and placed her phone in front of her
"soo, your partnership!"
"yeah! i'm soo happy, i was stressed but it went well and so tomorrow i have a photoshoot in the afternoon! i can't wait honestly" she explained
she looked happy
and that made lando happy
"i'm glad for you! really" he warmly smiled
"thank you" she honestly smiled back "anyway, how are you? ready for tonight?"
"yeah, it's going to be fun. and it's actually soon so why aren't you getting ready?"
"i'm not going to take hours to get ready"
"that is a lie, you everytime take so much time to get ready!" he accused her
"liar, you are so exaggerating!" she protested, she knew it took time to prepare, but not hours either
"i'm so not exaggerating but i'm not going to say anything else because you already are loosing time to get ready"
"shut up"
"it's in 30 minutes.." Lando spoke looking at the watch on his wrist
"IN WHAT? 30 WHAT?" Maisie shouted, just 30 minutes? how was it possible?
"i'm joking, don't scream. it's in almost 2 hours" he said, obviously laughing. founding this funny
"i hate you, you are so not funny"
"i'm funny"
"no you are not. and now i'm ending the call because i'm going to get ready" she informed him
"see! i told you! you need hours to get ready"
"you are so annoying"
"but you like me" he talked, with a smile on his face
"i don't know who told you that but it's not true. it's actually the opposite"
"you're hurting my feelings right now" he joked, putting his hand on his heart like he was offended
"too bad" she laughed "but, i gotta get ready right now lando. I'll see you later"
"yeah, i'll see you later"
And they ended the call..
Then Maisie went upstairs to her bedroom and walked to her dressing to find an outfit. What could she be wearing..? A good question, because she had no idea right now.
She stood up in front of the wardrobe, thinking about what she should dress?
And she finally found it! A simple, long, very light yellow dress with drawn flowers. It was cute and not too much.
She rushed into the shower and after literally an hour she got out, dressed. Now the makeup!
She opted for something simple too,
Her makeup finished it was still a little time left, so she went on the social medias, then Maria told her she'd arrived. Oh yeah, they had planned to go together..
Anyway, Maisie took her purse and got out of her house to get in Maria's car.
"hey, you look good!" maria complimented "dressed like this for someone?" she asked with a smirk, referring to Lando
"shut up, i'm not dressed like this for him"
well kinda..
"okay, okay sorry!" maria said raising her hands
"but, thank you and you look good too" Maisie complimented back Maria
"thank you!"
And fortunately after not a long time they arrived at the restaurant, and a few people were already there.
"hello you two" lando arrived in front of them with a friendly smile and quickly hugged the both of them
Then Maria entered the restaurant letting Lando and Maisie alone
"again, happy late birthday"
"thank you again"
"i love your outfit by the way" she complimented him, he was wearing a light blue jean and a white shirt
"and you look so pretty" he complimented her back, she was even more than pretty
"thank you" she lightly blushed
Then they finally entered the restaurant, Maisie went to some of the girls and Lando to some of the boys,
"you are stunning" lily exclaimed
"yep, i agree with this" heidi commented and the others agreed
"did y'all saw yourselves?" maisie asked, they were all so beautiful
Then they started to talk, different subjects came.
HOURS LATER..
They were still at the restaurant, MAISIE was sitting next to LANDO. And they were actually close. He had one of his arm around her neck,
"you're okay?" she quietly demanded
"yeah, i'm okay. i really am" he affirmed with a smile
"great, and also. you're wearing the watch i offered you" she honestly smiled, she was glad that he liked her gift even if it wasn't something crazy
"yep, i'm always wearing it since my birthday"
"well i have good taste in gifts" she proudly smiled
"yeah, i can confirm that" he chuckled
"you two look so cute, oh my god" maria smirked as she put down her phone, meaning that she took pictures "and yes i will send the pictures to you too don't worry" she just knew they were going to ask her for the pictures
"how can you even know that we want the pictures?" lando asked
"i just know it, and now i'm going to the toilet so" maria spoke and left
"maisie"
"yes lando?"
"give me your phone"
"why?"
"because i want to search something" Lando said and Maisie looked at him suspiciously but sill gave him her phone.
And He wasn't going to do a search at all,
"you gotta smile maisie"
"okay" she said as she forced a smile
"no, a real smile, not a forced one" he turned his head "i love your real smile maisie" She immediately smiled hearing this and he didn't let her say anything else that he took the picture,
"perfect" he said and took another pic, then a other, then a lot, but they really weren't serious at the end...
"please, these pictures are incredible" Maisie couldn't stop her laugh
"i agree" he laughed
Then they were interrupted by shouts as the waiters were about to arrive with the birthday cakes. And the songs and everything else...
Some people were still in the restaurant and some of them weren't anymore because it really was getting late, but, Maisie was still here. Sitting on the couch, using her phone. When someone arrived in front of her,
Lando.
She put down her phone and raised her head,
"yes?"
"come and dance with me"
"really?"
"yeah, and don't say that you can't dance because i know you do"
"ugh, okay okay" she put her hands in his and stood up
"don't act like you don't want to dance with me"
"wow your ego"
"you're still going to dance with me"
"i can go back to my seat" Maisie said and was ready to walk away but Lando bring her back close to him by putting his hands on her waist, and she immediately put her hands on his shoulder
She squinted between his eyes and his lips
and
he squinted between her eyes and her lips too
They were close. They both were going to lean in,
BUT,
Someone came and interrupted them, making them both to quickly drift away
And of course, this someone was Max.
"FINALLY!"
"and he is drunk" lando sighed, he interrupted a special moment and he was drunk..
"max i'm going to kill you!" maria exclaimed as she approached them "i'll take him home, don't worry, and so i'm going too"
"ohh you're going.." maisie commented
"yeah, but i'll see you tomorrow" she explained and hugged her friend, then hugged Lando and left, with max
"good luck to her.." maisie said knowing that Max drunk is definitely infernal
"yeah, i'm still traumatised" lando added "and now maisie, are you going?" he asked looking at her
"i think yes, we literally are the last people here"
"then let's go, but give me 2 minutes"
"okay"
She left the restaurant and waited for Lando, after less than 5 minutes he came back. And thanks to an uber they arrived to her place.
"lando, it's late and so.. you want to like, sleep here?" she nervously asked but he accepted so after entering her place she gave him some clothes from her brother she had and they after decided to watch a movie in her bedroom.
And like always,
They both fell asleep..
