CHAPTER TEN:
As the class began, (Y/N), Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke settled into their seats.
Inosuke couldn't help but grumble under his breath, expressing his annoyance that Elias wasn't in their class.
"This suck. I'm stuck with you annoying people." Inosuke huffed, but none of the three took his words seriously. Inosuke may have a rough exterior, but they know that he cares.
"Don't be so grumpy, Inosuke. Elias is just in a different class, that's all," (Y/N) said, trying to soothe her friend's frustration.
Inosuke crossed his arms, still clearly miffed. "Yeah, but it would have been fun to have him in our class. He's a cool guy," he muttered, his competitive nature showing.
Tanjiro smiled and nodded in agreement. "Elias isn't half bad! We should definitely ask him to eat with us later."
(Y/N) turned her attention towards the classroom, her heart racing slightly at the sight of Kyojuro.
She couldn't help but notice the change in his demeanor, the aura of annoyance surrounding him.
It made her wonder what might have happened to put him in such a mood.
"Settle down, everyone." Kyojuro hollered out. "We'll start class with a little surprise quiz. Hopefully you guys skimmed the book I was talking about yesterday."
Everyone in class groaned in utter annoyance.
As Kyojuro continued to discuss history, he was focused on conveying the lesson to his students.
However, his keen sense of awareness alerted him to the sound of Inosuke's whispering, even without glancing behind.
"Inosuke, no whispering during my class," Kyojuro said firmly, his voice carrying authority.
Inosuke's eyes widened in surprise, caught off guard by Kyojuro's sharp response.
He quickly nodded, realizing he had been caught, and mumbled a half-assed apology under his breath.
"Sorry, Rengoku-Sensei."
Throughout the rest of the class, Kyojuro continued to teach with enthusiasm, ensuring his students remained engaged in the subject.
He guided them through the lesson and even encouraged open discussions and questions, creating an interactive and educational experience.
As (Y/N) observed Kyojuro's demeanor, she couldn't help but feel a pang of concern.
Despite his efforts to maintain enthusiasm and engagement in the classroom, it was evident that there was something bothering him beneath the surface.
His eyes, usually warm and welcoming, now held traces of pain, annoyance, and stress. (Y/N) wondered what could be troubling him, and her heart went out to Kyojuro.

As they left the classroom, (Y/N) and the Kamaboko squad were relieved to be free from the intense class session.
Their brains felt fried from Kyojuro's unexpected quiz, but they couldn't help but smile as they saw Elias waiting for them with a warm greeting.
"Hey, (Y/N), everyone! How was the quiz?" Elias asked with a playful grin.
Inosuke grumbled, "It was tough! I'm going to challenge Sensei to a pop quiz duel one day- We'll see if he's such a tough guy."
Elias laughed, knowing how competitive Inosuke could be. "I'm sure you'll give him a run for his money, Inosuke! But let's all go grab some drinks at the cafeteria to unwind."
(Y/N) nodded eagerly, appreciating the chance to relax and chat with her friends. "I could use a break-And a drink or two." she said with a smile.
As they made their way to the cafeteria, the group chatted and laughed, already feeling the stress of the quiz slipping away.
Elias fit right in with the Kamaboko squad, effortlessly bonding with each member and adding his own charm to their dynamic.
While they walked, (Y/N) had to stop and turn around for a second because she heard a voice call out to her.
"Baby sis~! How was class?"
It was Mitsuri holding a stack of literary papers.
She goes up to (Y/N) and the Kamaboko squad and flashed them a huge smile. "Hello to you guys, too. Has my sister been good to you all?"
"Hello, Kanroji-Sensei!" Tanjiro greeted, "(Y/N) has been doing well in class, and she treats us fairly!"
"I'm glad." Mitsuri giggled as (Y/N) rolls her eyes at her sister. "Anyways, I'm gonna have to borrow my baby sis for a bit-I need some help."
(Y/N) smiled warmly at her Nee-San, glad to see her despite the busy day she had. "Of course, Nee-San. I'm happy to help-What do you need?"
"I need you to bring this to Kyojuro." Mitsuri eyed the textbooks she held in her hands.
(Y/N) blinked in surprise at Mitsuri's request, her mind momentarily processing the situation.
"You want me to give these to Rengoku-Sensei?" she asked, looking at the stack of literary texts in her sister's hands.
Mitsuri nodded with a sheepish smile. "Yes, it's a set of books he wanted to borrow to revise his papers for the upcoming exam. I was planning to give them to him later, but since you're here right now, could you pass them to him for me?" she explained.
(Y/N) chuckled, amused by her sister's earnestness. "Sure, Nee-San. I'll make sure to give them to him. But you owe me (Favourite Chips) for this."
Mitsuri thanked her little sister with a peck on the cheek, expressing her appreciation for her constant support. "Mwah~! You are the best, baby sis!"
Elias chimed in their conversation, "I can come with (Y/N). The other wouldn't mind right?" He turned to look at the Kamaboko squad.
Tanjiro and Zenitsu didn't have any problems, but they swore that they heard Inosuke say something along the lines of "I mind, you jerk-ass."
(Y/N) smiled at Elias's offer. "Sure, Elias. That would be great." she replied, appreciating the chance to spend more time with him.
"That settles it!" Tanjiro beams at the two. "We'll wait for you guy at the canteen. We're getting some drinks and food for everybody, so come back quick."
As they made their way to Kyojuro's classroom together, (Y/N) and Elias engaged in lighthearted conversation.
It felt liberating for (Y/N) to talk to Elias so casually-It's been literal years since she's last had a decent conversation with her old friend.
Elias's easygoing and friendly nature made (Y/N) feel comfortable and at ease. She found herself laughing at his jokes and genuinely enjoying their time together.
When they arrived at Kyojuro's classroom, (Y/N) knocked on the door, and Kyojuro's familiar voice called out, inviting them in.
"Come in." he said warmly.
But what waited inside the room was something (Y/N) nor Elias was expecting.
