Cortney Roberts, a 11 year old girl, who is on the district 5 hockey team. Cortney and her friends are not very good at hockey, which makes it hard to be liked by the other teams — such as the district 6 team : the hawks.
It also doesn't help that they aren't very wealthy either. They live on a different side of Minnesota, then the richer kids and families.
The kids sworn enemies are the hawks, especially adam banks. Cortney, hates him almost more then the rest of her friends. Mainly because she touters him, which means she has to see him even more then everyone else. That leads to her having to talk to him normally, and nicely in fact.
But maybe her feelings start to change about the blonde headed boy, but she thinks there's no possible way he feels the same.
Or so she thought.

INSPIRATION
I have many of my own ideas for this book, but I read -kay1aa story and I really liked it. So some of the scenes/things that will happen in this book are inspired by her book.
Also I really recommend reading it!
It's a four book series, and I spent so much time reading it because I was absolutely obsessed, and I still re-read it.
