I sat on the couch in the living room, watching a show on TV.

I had been bored out of my mind the last few days, since Eli went on a family vacation up in Washington state. He was able to get out of traveling up there last time, but his parents insisted he go this time. I haven't been able to have much contact with Eli, since he's staying in the mountains with his family and reception is spotty.

I've been able to hang out with Miguel here and there, but he's mostly been enjoying time with Sam. I probably wouldn't say I'm bitter about it though... Probably.

I looked down at my phone, hoping to see something from Eli. Alas, it looks the same as before—boring and empty. I sighed and dropped it beside me, looking back up to the television screen.

Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door. I certainly wasn't dressed for company, so I was really hoping it was Miguel, ready to watch a movie with me or something. But when I opened the door, I saw something so much better.

"Eli!" I jumped towards him and wrapped my arms around his neck. I squeezed him tight in embrace, after not seeing him for a week straight.

Eli returned the hug, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me close, while he buried his face into my neck. "Shit, I've missed you so much," Eli spoke into my shoulder, the warmth of his breath sending goosebumps across my skin.

He pressed his lips into the spot between my shoulder and neck, before leaving a trail of kisses all the way up to my lips. His lips were soft and warm, just as they have always been, time and time again.

We both grinned at each other when we pulled away. "What are you doing here? Did something go wrong? I thought you still had three more days..." I asked, my voice slowly becoming more worried.

"No, no. Of course not, nothing went wrong," he told me, pushing a loose strand of hair out of my face. "I told you I was coming back later, because I wanted to plan this." He held his hand out to the ground beside us, where my eyes landed on a brown woven basket with a bouquet of flowers laid in top that had went unnoticed until now.

My mouth fell open with a smile, before I looked back at Eli. "Eli, you really didn't have to do this," I said.

"I wanted to," he said right after. "Don't think this is just for you though; it's for me too. Don't get me wrong, I want you to have nice things, but I also want to spend time with you all to myself. I'm kind of selfish that way." Eli smirked and shrugged one of his shoulders.

I laughed, before pulling his face towards me again and planting another kiss on his lips. "Do I have time to change really quick?" I asked him, unsure of what's in the basket and if it could go bad.

Eli pretended to think, looking up to the sky with his eyes squinted and an eyebrow raised. "I mean, I guess you have time, but I'm kind of liking these shorts you have on...Did you wear them for me?" Eli teased.

My shorts were definitely short, but I chose to wear them because they were comfortable. However, now that Eli is here, I can take the credit for this one. I smirked up at him. "Maybe," I answered, "But I very well can't wear them in public in front of other guys, can I?"

Eli's eyes narrowed me now, silence filling the air between us. Finally, Eli sighed and rolled his eyes slightly. "Fine, you're right."

I laughed again, before turning back into my apartment and heading to my room, Eli following in behind me. I went into my room and walked straight to the closet, looking over all my clothes.

"Hey, is Bucky here?" I heard Eli ask quietly from behind me. I looked back and saw him peaking his head into my room. I shook my head in response.

I pulled out a sweet, flow-y dress. Facing my closet, I pulled my shirt over my head and slid off my pants, dropping both to the ground. Then, I heard a quiet click from the door behind me.

I looked at the noise, my eyes landing on Eli, who was leaning casually on the closed door of my bedroom, looking around aimlessly as if he didn't know exactly what he was doing.

"Ah, so I see Washington has turned you into a creep," I joked, my back still facing him as I got ready to put on the dress. I turned it around and picked off any specks that might have found their way on its fabric.

"Come on, it's not as if I've never seen you like this before, Princess."

I smiled as I replayed past events in my mind. But I pretended like I hadn't reacted to what he said when I turned to face him again. His eyes trailed up and down my body, taking in the view. I took a few slow steps towards him.

"I must have been a saint in a past life to deserve someone like you in this one," he told me, standing up straighter as I shortened the distance between us.

"Looks like someone's down bad," I teased him. I stopped right in front of him, looking directly into his eyes. His eyes darted between my own, before eventually incorporating glances at my lips. "Now look away."

Eli looked strained when my words hit his ears. "But you make it so hard to do that," he replied, his voice low. I smiled, taking his hand in mine and planting a kiss on his fingers, all while never looking away. From there, I raised his hand to his eyes, making him hold it there. Eli sighed, "this is nowhere near as good a view."

"No peeking," I told him, taking a few steps back.

"I wouldn't. What do you take me for, a child?" he asked. I raised an eyebrow, unmoving as I stared at him. Just as I suspected, he made a small hole in between his fingers to peek through, before closing the gap tight again in a flash. "All right, so maybe I am."

I laughed and put the dress on. Eli didn't try to peek through this time. I straightened out wrinkles and made sure it was on right, before allowing Eli to move his hand from his eyes.

"Ah, just as I suspected. Still gorgeous," Eli said, walking forward, slinging an arm around my waist, and pressing his lips onto mine. "We should get the basket and head out. I'm starving."

I raised my hand up to his hair—which was his normal light brown color and hanging down naturally—and pushed back some hair from his face. His hair was incredibly soft, which almost catches me by surprise every time.

"Me and you both."

Eli drove his car while I sat in the passenger's seat, choosing all the songs we listened to.

At first, I wasn't sure where he was driving to, but after the drive started becoming familiar, I knew exactly where he was taking us.

The Canyon.

Or more specifically, a spot near the Canyon—the spot where Eli first asked me to be his girlfriend.

It was just as beautiful as it was that day, which felt like a lifetime ago. The sky was bright and beautiful, and mostly clear of clouds—although a couple found their way into view. It wasn't too hot, which was also a huge plus.

Eli brought a blanket for us to sit on, which happened to be my favorite one at his house. He knew this, of course, which is why he brought it. It was soft, comforting, and in my opinion, it smelled like him.

Eli laid the blanket out over a patch of soft grass, before placing the basket in the middle. He gestured for me to sit down. I listened, and he sat next to me.

He opened the basket and pulled out each item, making up some sort of crazy announcement for each of them. He sounded like the announcer at the All Valley, and it made me laugh.

"So, tell me. How was Washington?" I asked after the food was all situated and we were ready to eat.

Eli grabbed a chip and broke it in his mouth, looking up as he thought. "Cousins are still pricks, but they didn't mess with me as much. It was our first time seeing each other since The Hawk," Eli clarified, flexing his muscles up.

I nodded my head slowly in understanding. I hesitated with my next question, but asked anyway, "What did they do to mess with you?" I was almost afraid to hear the answer.

Eli waved his hand, making his next words seemingly unimportant. "You know, they'd hide my boots so I'd have to walk around in my Aunt's extra pair, which was pink; they'd take my clothes out of the bathroom while I was showering; they'd rip the pages out of my comic books, and other things of the sort," he explained it as if it all was a normal thing to do and he was unbothered by it.

I furrowed my eyebrows, annoyed at what I was hearing. "What the hell?" I asked, unsure of what else to say. Eli nodded.

"I know," he sighed, "but I was too scared to stand up to them. They didn't try anything this time, though. I made sure to 'accidentally' show up with no shirt on, and that their alarm clocks would go off at an ungodly hour every night. The sound woke up the whole house each time, but it was a happy sound for me."

"You're so petty, and I love it," I smirked. "Let me know if you need my help getting back at them, I would really love to try my hand at it."

"I'm sure you would," Eli chuckled, popping a small piece of fruit into his mouth. Then Eli shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe you'll be able to come on the next family vacation with us. I'm sure my mom would absolutely love it."

Once the food was eaten and our stomachs were full, Eli and I cleared our area of the leftovers, before laying together on the soft blanket. I laid my head on Eli's chest, while his arm found a spot under me, pulling me closer to him. He used his other hand as a sort of pillow to prop up his head, while I laid my legs over his.

We looked up at the sky, talking about random things that came to mind. He told me more about the fun things he did while he was gone, then asked about what I did during that time. I didn't end up having much to tell him.

Eventually, a comfortable silence fell between us. We laid with each other, spending restful time together after not seeing him. I missed him terribly, which made me realize how probably pathetic I am without him.

I was so comfortable that I hadn't noticed my eyelids begin to grow heavy. I was soothed by the sound of Eli's heart beating steadily in his chest. I fell asleep soon, feeling entirely snug and warm next to Eli. It was honestly one of the best sleeps I've taken; that is, until I was abruptly woken up.

Water poured down on my face, soaking my hair quickly. My first thought was that Eli was pouring water on me, but then I noticed that there was water pouring down on my whole body. Then I heard a loud crack of thunder, and that's when I realized it was rain that was falling down on me. I looked over to Eli, who looked just as confused as me. He must have fallen asleep too.

The sky was dark with rainclouds now, completely unlike it had been when we first got here. Our clothes were soaking wet now, sticking to our skin uncomfortably. We looked at each other to speak, but instead we both laughed.

I held out my hands, feeling the rain drop down on my palms. "Where did this come from?" I asked through laughs. Eli looked at the sky but shook his head without an answer.

We both stood, helping each other up carefully.

"We have to save the blanket," I exclaimed, grabbing the blanket up into my arms. It was no use, however, because it was already completely soaked. Eli grabbed one of my hands, before trying to quickly lead me to the car.

I was next to Eli, when I accidentally slipped on a wet rock from underneath my foot. I yelped, preparing for the impact. Eli was quick, however. He spun me and landed on the ground--me landing on top of him.

I was a much more pleasant fall for me than it was for him.

Neither of us could help the laughter that kept escaping through our lips. From above, I looked down at him. His face had split into a handsome grin, his eyes lit up from his smile. His hair was sticking to his forehead in dark strands. I ran my fingers through his hair, moving it from out of his face.

Then, I leaned down and connected out lips together. He accepted with no protest at all, raising a hand through my hair and deepening the kiss. Then his lips moved slowly across my jaw and beginning down my neck.

"Are we seriously going to do this in the rain?" I asked.

Eli shrugged, "It's as good a time as any, right?" He grinned again. "Besides, we won't go too far... this time." With that famous Eli grin, there's no way I could refuse. I leaned back down and kissed him again. My hands traveled down his torso, while his hands glided around my waist and hips, rubbing gentle shapes all around.

Our now drenched clothes clung to our bodies, which highlighted each of our shapes. It also made for feeling around a whole lot easier, which I was terribly thankful for.

It didn't take long before the fact that rain was pouring from the sky slipped my mind completely. I was only thinking about Eli. He was enjoying himself too, I could tell from his groans that travelled through my lips and skin.

Suddenly, I felt a rich warmth fall down to the bottom of my stomach and a feeling of wanting and desire begin to take over my thoughts. I squeezed my thighs together slightly, trying to push away the feeling, but it only caused another groan to escape Eli's lips.

I pulled away quickly, looking down at Eli. He looked back at me, his eyes slowly blinking in silent frustration. "If I continue now, I won't be able to stop," I warned him.

Eli's breathing was heavy after the oxygen deprivation we had both endured while trying to be as close to each other as possible. "Me neither," Eli responded.

At that, we both stood up from the ground, careful not to slip again. I bent back down to grab the water-filled blanket, when my eyes became level with a certain bulge, which was even more visible through went clothing. I gave a knowing glance up at Eli.

Eli shrugged. "I told you."

I smirked and stood back up, making sure to 'accidentally' run my hand over him. Eli's breath caught in the back of his throat, his eyes staring deep into me.

"Whoops."

Eli smiled in disbelief. "You are an absolute torture, you know that, right?"

I shrugged my shoulders like he had only moments ago.

Then I walked past him and towards the car. After a second, Eli followed behind me. We got into his car, both of us soaking the seats with rainwater from our clothes. I felt bad about drenching his seats, but it was inevitable.

When Eli turned the car on, I looked at the clock. "Holy shit," I exclaimed, "we must have been asleep there for three hours!"

Eli raised his eyebrows in surprise, before shaking his head obnoxiously, beads of water flying wildly from his hair. I closed my eyes and moved out of the way. I was about to say something, when Eli spoke first.

"I forgot! I got you something," he told me, before opening the small compartment between our seats. I was curious, completely forgetting that Eli just shook his hair out like a wet dog. Soon, he pulled out something that hung down from his finger.

It was a keychain—a small keychain shaped like...

"Bigfoot?" I asked.

Eli smiled and nodded. "Bigfoot is really popular up there, and I thought this was pretty cool." Eli turned the keychain around, revealing his name printed onto the back. I laughed out loud and carefully took the keychain from him. "That way when some guy tries to hit on you, you can show him that, so he knows to fuck off." Eli spoke in his usual upbeat voice.

"That has to be the best idea I have ever heard." I laughed again, before raising my hand to cup his chin. "My little bigfoot."

"Hey, I wouldn't go that far," he said, furrowing his eyebrows. Then he thought for a moment, before a smirk grew on his face. "Actually, maybe calling me bigfoot would let people know about the size of my-"

"Eli!" I interrupted him. "Come on, let's get out of here. I'm freezing my ass off."

"Wouldn't want that."

Eli winked, before pulling away and beginning the drive home.
