Aggressive banging of multiple hands on my door was a sign that it's time to go. I opened the door to three idiots who were grinning excitedly. But those grins quickly turned into a shock of sorts.
'Daaamn!' Jungkook exclaimed, following it with a whistle
'Even I feel like crying. Wow.' Namjoon looked me up and down, his smile growing back
'I should have proposed to you when I had the chance.' Hoseok jolted, even though his face was serious as he kept looking me over
Thanks to them getting all sorts of products back for that ball, I didn't need a thing, so I could get ready without a problem. Not that I did too much. The dress itself is already more than I ever thought I'd do. But if I'm doing this, I'm doing this properly. My usually straight hair is curly, and in a bun, leaving just the tiny bit falling at the front. I've even done my makeup. I might as well look perfect for him. And as much as I never thought I'd ever wear a wedding dress. This one is perfect.
Tight against my body, pinching me right at the waist, falling down a bit wider with a slit down my leg, leaving a silky trail behind me. The sleeves are made out of some thin fabric, falling down my arms gently, pretty much there only for decoration.
'Thanks, guys.' I smile. 'But I thought we were supposed to leave, not just stand here.' I tease them a bit
A sudden camera flash caught me off guard when Jungkook pulled a camera out of nowhere and started taking pictures.
'Kookie, please. That's just too much.' I try to stop him
'Absolutely not.' Jungkook says sternly. 'This is a historical day. I am taking a million pictures.' He said it as he took another one
'Okay, okay. Let's move it.' I usher them
'Wait!' Hoseok yells, stopping me in my tracks, then grins and pulls out a bouquet from behind him. 'Can't do this without one.' He offers it to me
It's a simple bouquet. But absolutely stunning. Wrapped in black and grey paper, pink roses surrounded by dark green leaves.
'There are gorgeous.' I was mumbling to myself, looking at the flowers in my hand, 'but who am I throwing this at?' I laugh
'All of us. I'm catching that thing!' Jungkook half threatened
'Aaaand this.' Namjoon snickers, flinging a piece of fabric at me. I caught it just before it hit me
'What is- seriously?' I sigh, looking at the white, lacey fabric in my hand. A bridal garter.
'Think of it this way. He has to take that off of you. With his teeth.' Jungkook wiggles his eyebrows
I might as well joke along. I stretched it out, pulling it up my leg, over to my thigh. 'I need a few more of these.'
All of them died laughing, but they were happy that I agreed to it. Although, all I could think of were Jimin's lips on my thighs. I don't wanna skip on that.
'Are we done now?' I laugh, asking
'Yes, yes. They already kidnapped him, so he won't see you.' Hoseok giggles
'Let's go! Let's go!' Namjoon's just as excited
'Nervous at all?' Jungkook nudged me as we got into a car
'About him leaving me at the altar, maybe. About anything else, no.' I chuckle
'Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that.' Namjoon smiled at me, looking at me through the rear mirror
'I know.' I smiled back at him. Jimin may not admit it to them, but I know how he feels about this. Even if he acts differently, I know he wants this just as much as I do.
The rest of the ride there went pretty fast as I listened to Hoseok and Jungkook sing random songs the entire way. Well, screech more than sing. But what can I do but laugh? Even Namjoon joined in at some point, and then all four of us erupted in laughter when his deep voice cracked, raising it about two octaves.
'Here we go.' Namjoon grinned, turning the car off
The entire place in front was empty, apart from two cars, one of them from the guys. I guess they rented the church for the time. Can't be careful enough.
'Oh, oh, can I walk you down the aisle?!' Jungkook started hopping around me like a kid, giggling to himself
'Sure.' I laugh, unable to say no to him
'Yesss!' He hugged me a bit too tightly
'Kookie. I've got a wedding to get to. Don't kill me.' I wheeze
'Okay, we're going in. Give us a minute, and then you can come in.' Namjoon smiled
'I'm so excited!' Hoseok placed a soft kiss on my cheek that took me a bit by surprise, but he ran off before I got to react
'By the way, just in case I forgot to say, you look incredible.' Jungkook was smiling at me kindly, giving me an honest compliment. 'Jimin's gonna have a heart attack.'
'I'd much rather have my husband alive.' I joke. 'And, thank you, Kookie.' I squeeze his arm a little as he was holding me
'Are you ready?' He flashes his usual bunny grin, tightening his hold on me
'Take me to him.'
He pushed open the big church door, opening a path for us to walk down. I did not expect my heart to behave the way it did, thumping away in my chest. Ignoring everything else, my eyes latched onto him, following every line on his body.
No one should be allowed to look this amazing in a suit. This should be illegal. His usually slightly messy hair is all slicked back, just like he did for the ball. Not even the little piece of hair is falling like it did last time. Nothing to hide that beautiful face with. A face that's holding a shocked expression. His eyes are wide open, his lips lightly parted.
'Fuck. Me. He's hot.'
'I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to swear in a church.' Jungkook snickered quietly, teasing me
For some reason, he got nudged by Taehyung, and the priest gave him a sideye, but it didn't do much. He kept looking at me as I walked down to him, with Jungkook reminding me not to run.
The closer I got, the bigger smile grew on both our faces.
'Here you go, sis. Congrats.' Jungkook gave me a light hug, then gave me a kiss on the cheek before moving aside, and letting me stand in front of Jimin, whose eyes never left me.
'Hi.' I was the first to break the silence, smiling at him
'H-hi.' He stuttered a little, which I've never heard before. I am so frigging happy that I decided to wear a dress.
I noticed in the corner of my eye Yoongi biting his lips not to laugh.
'I'll assume this is everyone, so we can start, if that's alright with the two of you?' The priest I completely forgot about spoke up, almost startling me
'Yes, please.' I smile at him
'Yes.' Jimin nodded, still eyes glued to me
'I've been asked to keep this short, so I'll skip the whole part which I deem unimportant at the moment and get to the important part.'
I wish I could stay here longer, just so I can look at him. He is ethereal.
'Do you have the rings or anything?' The priest asks
The guys all looked at each other before Namjoon spoke. 'I'm afraid-'
'We do.' Jimin cut him off, pulling a grey, velvet box out of the inside pocket of his suit
'Oh, shi-ow!' Jungkook not elbowed by Taehyung before he could finish that curse
He... got rings? I might die of shock today.
The priest nodded, starting the ceremony, if that's what you could call this.
'Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today...' priest's voice slowly faded away in my mind, being replaced by my heart beating and my thoughts screaming in my head. I can't stop thinking about how much I love him.
I only got myself back to earth when Jimin's voice broke through the barrier of thoughts.
'I do.' He said it with the most blinding smile I've ever seen, holding his hand out for me to take it.
I did it half mindlessly, feeling his fingers slide a cold, metal ring on my finger.
'Do you, Rain, take Jimin to be your husband, to love and to cherish him in sickness and in health. For richer of poorer. To have and to hold, until death do you apart?'
'I do.' Why the hell do I feel like crying?!
Jimin turned the little box towards me, giving me the other ring to put on him. It took a lot not to have a shaky hand.
'This is weird.' He giggled a little, making me laugh just the same.
'By the power vested in me by our Lord, Church and the law, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.'
The words I've only ever heard in the movies, are being spoken for me.
Jimin gently pulled me to himself by the hand he was holding, smiling still as his hands both found their way to my face, cupping it from both sides. And then his lips cupped mine with a soft, slow kiss. I dropped the bouquet I was holding until now, holding onto him a bit better, getting closer.
I'm his. He's mine. In every way there is.
The little applause from the side kind of crashed us, but it might be better that it has, otherwise we'd be standing here kissing for a long time.
'Did this just really happen?' I ask Jimin, not sure if I'm awake or asleep
'I think so.' He giggles. 'You're a wife. My wife.' He kissed me once more, a bit more passionately than the last kiss
Jin leaned in over Jimin's shoulder, only to whisper, 'He only did this for your name.'
It made both of us laugh, resulting in Jimin having to let go of me.
'Let's go home.' Jimin takes my hand
'One stop before that.'
