I hesitate a moment, what's the worst that could happen, really? He says no?
"Would you want to go to lunch with me and Larry?"
"Larry and Me," He corrects and I roll my eyes even though he can't see. "When?" He follows up.
"Yeah, yeah, uhm... Say Thursday?"
"I'm going to need a time, Wright." He grumbles.
"I think Larry said One? I'll get back to you on that, but be prepared for one."
"Are you always unprepared? I thought that was just a court thing."
I almost say something, but I decide against it, it definitely wouldn't have scored me any points.
"Hey, at least it works." I point out
"Only thanks to me," He counters.
"I object to that."
"And I presume you have evidence to back up the objection, yes?"
I smile, "What type of lawyer would I be if I just bluffed objections." He doesn't laugh. I thought it was funny. "Anyways, of course I do."
"Care to share with the rest of us, Mr. Wright?"
"It's not only thanks to you, I'd say I've gotten help from Mia and Maya too."
"You're helpless," He replies, and I'm not entirely sure if he's kidding or not
"I just proved I'm not." I say jokingly.
He hangs up on me right then, so I text him.
"You never confirmed or denied that you're going to lunchh" I send to him.
"I will when you provide me a time."
"One?"
"Okay."
"IS THAT YES OR NO"
"You don't text formally, do you?"
"No :) give me an answer"
"You give me a headache."
"YES OR NO"
"I'll be there."
