Right after Kate's death however, her boyfriend ness showed up and saw her corpse just laying on the ground like Sally's, this of course made ness feel distraught and filled him with grief, until he saw persino laughing at ness through the screen and made him be filled with rage. Ness grabbed the controller and immediately starts playing, but as sonic, fighting persino for Kate and all the other souls persino has taken. Persino immediately tries fighting back and gets the upperhand, butt suddenly... ness also sees Brian attacking him but it immediately leads to ness fighting Brian and sonic doing the same to persino in the same way they're both fighting. But after five hours of fighting for their life Brian immediately slices ness across and persino scratches sonic across the chest. As they both approach them, Brian grabs ness by the neck and immediately finishes him off by stabbing him through the heart while persino corrupts sonic and teleports him to a void where sonic is just glitching out like crazy and ness just wakes up in sonics body, realizing that his soul is now trapped in the game. Forever.
