"ALRIGHT ITS TEAM BETA, mikey and sharky." the girl introduced as the two sat on a log in front of the camera.
sharky was waving with a smile, "hi." he finally stated.
mikey couldn't help but side-eye him.
"sorry, he was dropped as a baby." michelle patted his head with a fake frown.
"wh-what do you want me to say?" he grumbles pushing her hand away.
"alright cut the cameras!" she points with a groan as they cut it.
giving the interview another try.
"we got the knowledge, we got the strength." she points to herself with a bright smile.
"and... we got the tiktok dances." she points awkwardly to sharky.
his eyes become wide with annoyance nudging her roughly.
"oh sorry!" mikey yelps.
"and we got um.. the looks?" she says in more of a question type noticing how he changed his posture.
"i'll take it!" sharky yells with a happy thumbs up.
it was silence.
"we got this." mikey nods her head proudly.
"we're screwed." sharky disagreed straight away.
"yeah.." mikey trails off realizing she didn't even agree with herself.
the camera cuts again going to chunkz and niko, then to sharky and mikey in the car to their checkpoint.
"ahh!" michelle whines laying her head on the leather seat.
"i feel like this is how it's gonna go for the whole trip." sharky indicated to the blonde.
"i'm already tired." she itched her eye.
"we haven't even started walking yet." sharky furrows her brows.
"i know but the walk to the car was risky." her head turns to sharky who just shook his with amusement.
"i hate aj and kenny." mikey clicks her tongue.
"two pricks." sharky added to her statement.
"i'm going to step on every rat i see, i swear." the girl informed the rest while crossing her arms.
sharky lets out a laugh, gazing at her while chewing his gum.
the camera cut.
"what the fuck?" the duo says in unison getting out of the car and seeing.. nothing.
they were literally in the middle of nowhere.
"oh my word." sharky gawked at the mountains surrounding them.
"that is beautiful though," he adds with a small smile.
"just like me right?" mikey giggles looking at him.
he rolls his eyes with an annoyed groan hitting her ears.
mikey rolls her eyes beginning to walk away and take a better look before saying.
"won't be that beautiful when we've got to walk over them."
sharky wished he didn't agree with her statement but he did and he already felt tired.
"goodbye." michelle waves sadly at the car as it left them.
"tell my mum i love her." the blonde fake sobbed.
"don't cry." sharky grins patting her shoulder with fake sympathy.
michelle didn't answer just sending him a glare making the boy retreat his hand slowly back.
the camera cuts.
the two held the phone in their hands being told that aj and kenny were giving them their first words for the day.
"short bitch and cheating cunt." mikey cursed at them under her breath.
they watched the video till it ends.
"all you have to do is check your." "rucksacks!"
mikey claps with joy as sharky repeats the word watching as she took her rucksack off her back.
the girl pulls out a map that was painted in black and white with things she knew none of them knew.
"oh i've got a compass." sharky stated holding the object in his hand.
"let's get walking." he stood up holding his hand out to help her up.
mikey looks at him like he was crazy.
"walk?!" she holds her head.
"..i think so." sharky trails off with a laugh.
"that's just not right," she mumbles taking sharkys hand and being pulled up swiftly.
"they have lost their fucking minds." mikey shook her head pulling her rucksack back.
once they figured out what way to go mikey and sharky began their descent to kenny and aj.
"road!" mikey screams out of breath.
pointing to the empty road.
"finally." sharky heaves loudly grabbing her arm to it as the camera follows.
"I've had enough already." she groaned tightening the grip on her bag as they begin to walk in a straight line.
she goes to pull her hair up in a ponytail then all of a sudden stopping in the middle of the road letting out a whiny cry.
"what?!" sharky looks at her in sheer panic.
her head lifts as she tries not to kill herself right then and there.
"i haven't got a bobble." mikey cried out to the one thing she forgot.
sharky side eyes her then the lens.
"you're crying over that?"
she couldn't help but narrow her eyes at him with a scowl growing on her face.
"yes, Sharmarke. i am." michelle answers using his full name.
his eyes widen slightly.
"It's flipping hot out here and my hair is sticking to my neck!" she tugs on her collar.
the boy takes a look around the quiet forest looking at the floor.
suddenly he let out a gasp.
his body running to the edge of the road and bending down to pick something up.
"what did you find-"
mikey was cut off as she stood with a smirk that fought its way to her face.
he stood proudly with a dirty rubber band in between his fingers.
"for your ponytail!" sharky said happily to her.
mikey couldn't help but giggle rolling her eyes playfully.
the camera cuts to the other team who were also struggling then back to them.
mikey and sharky walked side by side.
mikey singing out loud.
"and you can't spell awesome without me!" the girl yells out spinning around.
sharky shares his eyes.
how could she still be so energetic?
they've been walking for an hour and she's explained every taylor swift song in them.
he didn't mind, actually, he liked it.
he liked watching her talk about stuff she likes, it makes him feel like they were sixteen again and sitting in her garden talking about how much she loved french fries, the new kid, or the smell of the ocean.
it kinda made him think about how it might've felt like if he knew years ago that years later she'll still talk for hours on end about the same thing.
and he'd enjoy it more every time.
"mikey you know-" sharky was cut off when the two stopped in their tracks.
they heard aj.
"sharky!" Kenny yells from a distance making it almost impossible to hear but they heard.
"yo!" sharky screams out answering.
"mikey!" aj yells out faintly.
"aj!" the girl screams trying to know where it was coming from.
"aj, kenny!" sharky starts to run grabbing mikey's hand.
running down the road still yelling the names.
"they're there." mikey exclaims to him yanking the boy off the road and into the forest.
looking at the large tree that fell over in front.
they heard moans come from aj.
"right, why is the rat moaning?" mikey questioned the camera with disgust.
turning to the tree.
"i am not going over that." the girl laughed like sharky was crazy.
"come on mikes," he groaned at her seeing the stubborn look ok her face.
knowing nothing would change it.
like the light she was picked up from under the armpits and thrown over the branch landing on her bum with a scream.
"am i dead?" she asks looking up shining sun in her eyes.
"where's the angels?" her voice comes out still sitting on the floor in pain.
"am i in heaven?"
suddenly the light shining in her eyes was partially stopped when sharky walks over looking down at her.
then james who held the camera stood over her as well.
"great." michelle huffed getting up and patting her dirty hands on her thighs.
"i'm still in hell." the blonde pushes past them walking over to aj and kenny.
who stood by a lake raising a makeshift flag.
"look who it is!" aj points at them as they stumble over.
"the winners of challenge one!" kenny yells happily at them.
after being rewarded with snacks, treats, and water the two sat for a while fueling up.
then up on their feet once again.
"sharky man! dont fucking burp in my face!" she yells in disgust while they walked.
"it was an accident." he laughed out loud.
"you know it'll be an accident when i feed you to the crocodiles." she groans shoving his shoulder.
the boy looked at her, shoving her shoulder back.
making her gasp.
"how dare you?" mikey looks.
shoving his shoulder.
he shoved her back.
she shoved him back.
he then shoved- you get the idea.
it went on for another ten whole minutes and then they begin to realize shoving each other while walking was a huge workout and they were already tired.
after being told that they needed to get a photo of an animal, sharky and mikey were not in the mood.
"i hate them." sharky told.
"i need a solid meal from mcdonald's after." mikey ran a hand through her hair.
"so find an animal." sharky dismissed her voice.
"find an animal." mikey nods.
pulling her phone out and bringing it up for a selfie with sharky.
"what're you doing?" the boy questions.
"shark, shaeky. shark." she giggles under her breath with a duh tone.
sharky couldn't help but crack a smile yet at the same time walking away from her.
"that's so dumb and lame man."
the camera cuts
team beta had found the campsite but they didn't find an animal.
they were going off the road and into the trees up the mountain.
"look." mikey whisper yells to sharky pointing at a kangaroo.
"hurry up mate." the boy watches as she snaps a photo.
"it's too far." she notices.
"i'll get closer." he pushed her back inching closer.
"no!" the two yell seeing ur hop off.
they stare at one another with sad looks.
"i guess this one will be made do."
the camera cuts again.
"you guys are ahead right now." aj sat in the campsite next to kenny as they walked over.
"we are but this is not fun." sharky mumbles flopping down and pulling mikey down to the seat next to him.
"you guys should be pumped you had a snack and water." kenny clears up with a grin.
the two narrow eyes.
they never hated two people so much.
mikey pinch's sharkys arm trying not to jump any of them.
sharky not even flinching knowing if he did what would happen?
the camera swerved when team two arrived.
"all have arrived." kenny grins.
making mikey throw her water bottle at him aj and him chuckling.
"you know i've never seen mikey like this." aj giggles at the girl.
the girl who usually left the house with a nice outfit hair done properly and a happy smile.
yet the girl in front of him was still looking extremely pretty but her hair was messy and seemed to be tied in a messy bun by her own hair, he didn't even know how.
her outfit matching the rest of the boys and her smile going
extinct.
it was team betas photo up first.
they didn't have high hopes.
and any hopes they did have were crushed when kenny and aj both start cackling and screaming with laughter.
mikey couldn't help but giggle along.
"why're you laughing?" she asked softly.
aj throwing his head into her lap then back up with cackles still holding the phone and kenny covering his eyes with loud laughs.
after the laughing fit it was obvious they weren't gonna win.
but mikey wasn't done trying.
"right what's she doing?" chunkz asks seeing her
concentrate on her phone shielding the screen.
"we've actually got another photo." she proudly stated handing the device to aj and kenny.
sharky looks up confused.
"we do?"
he earned a nudge from her as he groans after.
suddenly it wasn't just a laughing fit, it was them trying to breathe while chuckling after giggle and after wheezing.
even chunkz and niko were wheezing with horror.
"what is it?" sharky yanks to see.
and to his not so surprise
it was an edited photo of a flamingo next to mikey in the forest.
sharky spat with cackles as she sat hiding her laughs in her shirt.
"what's funny?" mikey asks dumbly.
all boys go to stare with red eyes due to the laughter.
"you found a flamingo in the outback of australia mikey?" niko questions her with his arms flared.
she looks around hesitantly before answering,
"duh!"
and with that, they were back to square one where all the boys were laughing waking up any animal to kill them.
team two won.
to mikey's shock, she thought she edited pretty well.
her and sharky were given rice and beans to make, a campfire, and provide entertainment for kenny and aj.
"put you're back into it sharky." mikey mocks in an american vally girl accent.
sharky shook his head at her.
the girl picks up a large tree branch struggling a lot at the heaviness when straight away it falls to the floor,
taking her nail down with her.
the birds in the most probably flew away and the kangaroos were afraid because mikey let out a scream so loud people in the uk heard.
"what happened?!" sharky screams running over.
seeing the girl with actual real tears falling down her face and looking at her clamped hand.
"my.." she sobbed out.
"you're what?" sharky was getting worried.
"my... my nail!" she wailed the last part out showing the broken nail.
sharky could have smacked her with ease at that moment feeling his panic ease to anger.
"you fucking got me worried for nothing." he smacked his forehead.
suddenly her eyes had a fire in them.
"nothing? nothing? this 'nothing' is expensive." mikey mocks his voice wiping her tears.
"okay mikey just chill alright." sharky winced as his words left his mouth.
mikey holds her hand out with a small cry.
"i'm super chill." her voice cracked as she said with a high-pitched voice.
before he could say anything she goes walking off.
"where you going?" sharky calls out.
seeing as their area was near the edge of the mountain.
"i just.." she neared closer to the edge.
"i need some air," michelle told them clearly still crying.
seeing her put her foot off the edge of the mountain.
"hold on!" sharky screams out running at her.
snatching her by the waist as she groaned.
the camera cut.
it had been an hour, and mikey had been feeling a little better as sharky did all the cooking and she planned the entertainment.
"look at this short bitch." mikey walks over to sharky pointing at her nail.
"i heard that michelle." aj comes walking over. kenny by his side.
"no, no not you." she laughed going to wrap her arm around his shoulder.
"yeah yeah get off me." the boy swats her hand away.
aj and kenny sat down.
"so it's rice, beans, and uh.." sharky trails off looking at sharky.
"and um... me singing!" mikey threw her hands in the air trying to lighten up the mood.
"so it's gonna be a horror night?" kenny shook his head.
she ignored glaring at him.
after the two tried the food they prepared they told them it wasn't as bad but not the best.
now time for the entertainment.
"welcome lads." mikey grins in front of them.
"today i will be performing a scene from the little mermaid." mikey nods her head with a smile awaiting a smile from them but it never happened.
"alright, tough crowd that's fine," she mumbles.
walking over to the rock that stood a little high and wide and in front of the two.
sharky nods at mikey.
"i don't know when." she starts climbing up the rock.
she was joking and the boys started cackling the second she sang a tune.
"i don't know how.. but i know something starting right now!" she fakes the high pitch in her voice.
"yeah!" aj yells with praise.
"okay!" kenny nods along.
"watch and you'll see." her hands start moving up the rock with the song.
"why's she turning into a crab?" aj made a remark earning a shush from kenny who was interested.
"someday i'll be.." she drags it out reaching the almost top of the rock.
taking in a deep breath.
"part of your world!" mikey screams loudly flipping her hair and sitting upright on the rock.
instead of throwing water like the waves they had to improvise.
so sharky threw a whole lot of leaves he had gathered earlier and threw them in the air.
the camera cuts.
"that was alright." kenny and aj stated.
mikey opens her mouth.
"just alright?" she scoffed.
"i think i'll have ladybugs in my ears forever and i get an alright." the blonde huffed.
"that is bare rude." sharky shook his head.
"we'll see." aj shrugs as kenny and him walk over to the other team.
after the other team was done, they settled inside the small cozy house.
while they waited on which will stay the night and which will sleep in a hotel.
the beta squad sat on the large couch all holding onto a blanket.
by all i mean mikey.
her body was wrapped in the blanket and next to sharky she sat while her head lays on his shoulder.
"it's time for the results."
"me and aj have thought long and hard about this but." kenny looks around.
"only two people will be leaving the outback." aj squints his eyes.
the two turn to team beta.
"we really enjoyed your food, we don't think it's the best thing on the planet." aj nods along kenny's words.
"but what we were provided with." mikey wipes her tired eyes.
"i loved the mermaid thing." aj fist bumps mikey who smiles softly.
then turning to the other team they complemented them.
and now time for results.
"but there is only one winner."
"and that winner is.."
"team two!"
with the words sharky and mikey furrow their brows with pissed-off looks.
chunkz and niko jump up and down with happiness and tease team beta.
as the duo sat with confused and blank upset faces.
"why the flipping flips!" she grabs aj by the collar.
"you're a wanker." she then punched kenny's arm.
after minutes of them complaining and the others happy, it was time.
the camera was now being held as sharky and mikey stood in a new zone of the house.
where there were two hammocks and a light.
"this is cold. and not in a good way." she clarifies with a whine.
"i can't." sharky groaned out loud.
the camera cuts to them getting in the hammock.
"no i cant. what if i call an uber," she begged out loud laying by herself on the hammock.
"i tried." sharky told her with a sigh.
"horror." the girl mumbles over and over.
it was time for them to 'enjoy' the night.
it was later now and no one was in the area except for them, mikey holding the camera.
"is it just me or is your back cold?" sharky asks the girl.
"my face is cold," she answered him.
it was now probably three am.
"i can't sleep," she grumbles.
"ay why are you're hammock bigger?" mikey asked looking at the hammock that looked like it could fit two.
"i dunno," he answers with a sigh.
mikey looked at him and back to the scenery, then back to him, then back to nature.
sharky rolls his eyes knowing that look.
"alright then, come on." his hand indicates for her to get on the hammock.
"you sure?" she asks brightly.
"yes, now hurry." he smiles as she struggles to get off.
"help me." her trial at getting up was successful but difficult.
her body laying on top of his as mikey's left side of her face was smooshed on his chest and his arm around her back.
"this is much better," she mumbles almost making it unable for him to hear.
"right?" the blonde asked her fingers smoothing up his arm.
"sharky.." she looks to see him.
dead asleep.
"well." the girl chews the inside of her cheek telling herself to sleep too.
and so she did.
it definitely wasn't comfortable but at least they slept.
when sharky woke up, the first thing he did was open the camera.
the sun was rising slowly and it didn't even look like it was morning, probably 5:30 or something.
"the sun is coming out," sharky shows the almost lit trees.
then slowly moving the lens to a sleeping mikey in the same position she was in when falling asleep.
"mikey." he drags out.
she didn't wake up only furrowing her brows.
"mikey." he repeats this time patting her back.
"mhm?" she looks up eyes barely open.
making sharky chuckle.
"oh thank goodness it's over." she lays her head back to his lower chest but this time awake.
"not yet we're still waiting on sunrise," he informed.
"come the fuck out sun." she aggressively said yet still in a tired voice.
"mikey does this thing where she like strokes your arm and stuff and i swear that makes you sleep in a second." sharky shared to the camera with shocked eyes.
"michelle's abandoned hammock." he shows the hammock that was laid on for a second.
it was a silence.
"i think i froze my toes off." mikey spoke up with fear at frostbite.
the camera cuts to them now in the car on the way back.
"she won't talk." sharky giggles tiredly pointing at mikey who stared out the window.
"fuck you, fuck you, fuck you." the girl flips off the forest they walked all over.
she then turns to the lens with a grin.
"play the trailer."
