Mal's POV

I sung as I danced around the room with my spell book in hand while Evie just sits on the bed watching with no thoughts in her head "Things are working out according to my ultimate design. Things have been going great with Caspian. By great I mean he's totally in my control. I could ask him to hand over the crown now and he'll do it but since he's not king and it would raise too much suspicions I decided against it.
"Lift the spell lift it now let Evie have finally have back her sound"
"What did you do to me?" She asked backing away fear in her eyes.
"Nothing too harmful." I said with a smirk "I just needed a couple of things."
"You made me do your evil bidding? Mal I thought we came over here to escape our parents not become them."
"WELL I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE EVIE. Don't you see? My mother is the only family I have."
"That's not true. You have Jay, Carlos, and me." She said before mumbling "well at least had them."
"You don't understand." I started pacing "all your mom wants you to do is find a prince. Well whoopdy doo almost ever buy here is a Prince. While my mom wants me to take over all of Auradon. We are not the same" at this point I'm pointing at her and extremely close
"Mal-"
"Here's what's going to happen now." I started "I won't spell you again and let you have the full Auradon experience if you follow my orders and remain loyal." She looked fearful
"I-"
"Fine." I said while flicking my spell book. "Evie won't listen so hear it now my-"
"Fine fine I'll do it." She said "you know you've turned out to be just like your mother" she spat
"Thank you." I said sarcastically while wiping a fake tear. " I do try."
"So does that mean we are going to game." She said with a little excitement
"Game?"
"Yeah the tourney match. Caspian is playing since he'll always support Quasi."
"Hmm... it would look good to be the supportive girlfriend and if I can get him to make a show out of it I bet it would almost kill Penelope."
"I still don't know why you don't like her. Is it because she calls you a fake goddess?"
"Wha-"
"Or because she says the hair doesn't match you and just drowns you out?"
"When did-"
"Or because she calls you bobblehead"
"I didn't-"
"Or is it because-"
"EVIE please- I hate her enough already."
"But why?"
"Because she has my dad in her pocket and I was always a mistake to him."
"That can't be true. You used to hang out with Hades all the time."
"Yeah but that was before he scolded me for something over her."
"But did you do it?"
"I mean yeah but he didn't even know that was his daughter. He's still stuck on Persephone that he won't acknowledge his own daughter that he knows of."
"Well maybe he felt a soul connection."
"So he doesn't feel it with me?"
"Maybe not... I feel like we should do more digging on this."
"Maybe."
"So let's get your game outfit together ."
"Now that's Hot."
The bleachers were packed and everyone was jumping, clapping, and singing while I sulked.
"This is so much fun." Evie said
I spotted Gil on the cheer squad doing a split in the air. Impressive
"Ok everyone let welcome out our Captain Quasi" everyone clapped as her ran on the field. "Let's give it up for our new recruits "Jay and Carlos." Carlos looked uncomfortable but Jay was loving the attention. Carlos clearly did not want to be there. "Our Princes. Prince Caspian and Prince Chad." They both came out and Chad was loving the attention also. Chad and Jay could be great friends with the enormous size of their egos.
Caspian looked like he was searching for someone he looked a little longer at the middle section and I looked to the side to see what he was looking at. He was staring at Penelope as she looked at him too. This is not part of the plan
"WOOOOOO GO CASPIAN." I yelled and that seemed to snap his attention right back to me. Then he sent a shy wave and I sent one back."
I have no idea what was going on in the game but I saw Carlos on the ground and Jay get on top of him somehow ending the game with Caspian throwing the winning shot. I think.
"And Auradon wins." The crowd went crazy until Caspian took the mic
"Hi everyone give it up for our captain Quasi." Everyone cheered for him as he kissed Austin "and our new recruits you guys did amazing. Now give it up for the whole team." The crowd cheered and the guys did a chest bump. "Now I wanted to dedicated something special to a very special person in my life." He said
"Give me an M"
"M" the crowd said
"Give me an A"
"A"
"Give me an L"
"L" the crowd said as Adri decided to scream and run away.
"What does that spell?"
"Mal"
"I love you Mal"
I heard a loud thud then
"PENELOPE!" Cynthia screamed people started looking at her
"Penelope?" Caspian questioned "is she alri-" he started to walk to her as if it was on instinct until I grabbed his hand
"I'm right here Caspi what did you want to ask me?"
"Oh right?" He said almost disappointed "would you go a date with me tomorrow?"
"Yes" yelled in the mic so Penelope would still hear me in her knocked out form. They started carrying her out on a stretcher and I could see Caspian's eyes wandering that way so I grabbed him and kissed him. Good thing it's not true love.
"SHE SAID YES" he jumped and the crowed clapped until Adri ripped the mic out of his hand
"Chad is my boyfriend now so I don't need your p-"
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked me
"Yes" I said and Adri left in a huff.
