Teen angst always makes it feel like the world is ending, like everything and everyone is against you at all times.
Except on August 26th, 2010–Koa and Sadie Finch's teen angst became a reality.
The half sisters were on two different sides of their home state of Georgia when the world fell. Koa, the younger one, had been at home with their uncle—Shane Walsh while Sadie was at her best friends house 40 minutes away.
They had no choice but to be separated as the world decayed around them, the dead wanting to eat them. Koa was forced to hope her sister makes it in this world while her uncle, the only blood family she seemingly has left, takes her and the Grimes family to safety.
But that was when she was 14. That's when she was supposed to start high school and be a stupid teenager. She was supposed to cause havoc with her friend group and sneak out of the house and hope Uncle Shane never finds out.
That's what Sadie got to do.
With the sisters only 11 months apart, you'd think they'd be close but something happened. Koa doesn't know when but it felt like there was a shift. Her sister, her best friend—wanted nothing to do with her.
And now they're 15 and 16, nine months into the apocalypse and Uncle Shane is dead, Lori is pregnant and Koa has no idea where her sister is, if she even has a sister that is living at this point.
