Darun was very angry yesterday. I have to make him understand my situation today.
I know he was right in his place but I don't want to participate in singing. When I start involving in anything, many people used to hate me. That's why I'm doing this. I don't want to have any enemies in this school.
After all when an orphan start to grow then many people will come to stop them. This is the truth, atleast in my case.
" Hey cutie " Keerthi chirped waving at me.
" Hey " I said.
" Why are you sulking in the morning itself " She asked looking at my face reaction.
" Wait. Let me guess. Did you talk to him yesterday? " She asked.
" Yes I did " I said.
" What did he said? "
" He was very angry. He went without listen to me completely " I said pouting.
" Ok don't make that face. But you are doing too much Cutie. You can atleast participate for him right? This time we all are with you " She said.
" Don't confuse me. Come, we will talk to him now " I said dragged her from there.
He is my good friend in this school and I don't want to lose him. So I'll somehow make him talk to me.
Darun was sitting with his friends near the ground.
" Good Morning Team leader " I tried to act like we are childhood sweethearts.
He turned his head other side without giving me any response. Varun and Arjun said me good morning.
" Darun talk to me na " I said sitting on the nearby bench.
" Yes Darun talk to her. First time in my life she is pleading someone to talk to
her " Keerthi said. I rolled my eyes at her childish behaviour.
" I don't want to talk to anyone " He said looking other side.
" Why are you doing this Darun? . Talk to her Darun " Arjun said.
" I won't "
" Please " I said with a puppy eyes.
" I won't " He said stubbornly.
" You will not? " I asked raising my eyebrows.
" Yes, I won't " He said.
" Ok then I'll call Neha here. She will make you talk te me somehow. Keerthi go and bring her here" I said with a smirk.
Arjun and Varun looked at each other and burst out laughing.
" Go, I don't care " He said shrugging his shoulder.
" Someone talk about me? " Neha asked suddenly coming there.
" Wow talk about an idiot that idiot is here " Darun muttered under his breath.
" What did you say? " She asked glaring at him.
" Hey Neha. We were talking about you only " Keerthi said.
" What we're you talking about?" She asked.
" I want your help " I said with a pout.
" Aww, I'll help you " She said without asking about the problem.
" You didn't ask about the problem " Varun said Mischievoualy.
" Anything for Shreya " She said. I grinned looking at her.
I said what happened yesterday to her.
" So this is the problem? " She asked after hearing the whole story. I nodded my head furiously.
" Darun you are doing too much. It's her decision you can't force her " She said.
" I know I can't force her, but she can't hide her talents for others " He said.
" This is her decision " She said in order to make him understand.
" Good friends only motivate their friends. I don't want her to get fear to talk in front of others. I want her to be confidence " He said. To be truth I'm so overwhelmed hearing his words.
" Shreya you have the fear of facing many people but what did you do to break that fear? "He asked. I kept mum because I don't have any answers for his question.
" I'm not angry with you for rejected my request, but you can't stay like for your whole life. Now you are studying school. You have to face many things in your life Hereafter .
You are not like Keerthi and Neha. They have many support like their parents and relatives. But you are different and you know that very well.
Next you have to join college, what if we are not with you then. You have to stand for yourself. You have to go to work and there you should know how to present yourself or your project. What will you do then? " He asked.
I'm having tears in my eyes. I didn't ever think about these things. He is a good friend. No one ever said these things to me before. Our friends also overwhelmed hearing his words.
He is right. I can't be like this for my whole life.
" I didn't said this things to make you cry" He said.
" I'm not crying " I said wiping my tears.
" Yeah, that I can see " He said with a small smile.
" Don't cry munchkin " He said.
" I'm not a munchkin "
" Yeah yeah. Whatever I'm not angry with you " He said.
" Really ? " I asked.
" Yes " He said smiling.
" Ok but what will you do for new
singer? " I asked.
" That I'll handle. You don't worry "he said ruffling my hair.
" Don't destroy my hairstyle " I said.
" Yeah. What a beautiful hairstyle " He said ruffling my hair again.
" Ugggh stop it. Answer me " I asked again.
" I said I'll manage " He said.
" So, you don't want me to sing " I asked.
" No I don't want you to... Wait...What? "
He asked with wide eyes.
" Yes, I'll sing "
" Really? " He asked.
" Yes I'll sing " I said smiling.
" Oh my God. But wait you aren't doing this for me, right? " He asked raising his eyebrows.
" No Darun. I want to sing because I want to " I said.
" Thank you " He said grinning.
" Hello. Do you know anything about her singing? " Keerthi asked.
" I don't know but I have hope that she will sing very well " He said.
" Aww what a friendship " Said Neha.
" Ohh hello. We are here also " Shouted Varun and Arjun.
" Who are you? " He asked looking at them. I closed my mouth with my palm to suppress my laugh.
" You traitor" They shouted and started to beat him.
" Ahhh sorry sorry. I was just pulling you legs " He said.
We heard the bell ringing sound.
" Ok guys. It's time for study come on let's go" We went inside our classroom .
