Mine and Zayden's relationship lasted even after we finished college. But I do think nothing much really changed even after we became a couple. We just became closer and he became clingier. I sometimes feel like our relationship became a ticket for him to be even more clingy and sweeter than he was when we were just best friends.
"Let's watch Tangled?" I felt a kiss on my cheek before a pair of arms hugged my waist.
"Aren't you supposed to help your dad sa business niyo?" I raised my brows at him.
Ngumuso siya at umiling. "I'd rather spend time with my princess."
"Okay, let's watch Tangled." I giggled and kissed his cheek before standing up to grab some snacks at the pantry.
"Love, you need to restock. We should go grocery shopping first! Samahan kita, then we can also bake your favorite strawberry shortcake after-" natigil ako sa sinasani ko nang may yumakap sa'kin mula sa likod.
"Date tayo?" paglalambing niya. "Maaga pa naman, grocery muna tayo tapos gusto mo pumunta tayo sa amusement park?"
"Really?!" hinarap ko siya at niyapos sa leeg. He nodded and kissed the tip of my nose.
"Lunch tayo sa labas, and then for dinner, magluluto ako ng favorite mong sinigang tapos mag be-bake tayo ng strawberry shortcake na kakainin natin habang nanonood ng Disney movies."
I squealed excitedly and smothered his whole face with kisses na alam kong gustong-gusto niya naman.
He chuckled and pinched my nose. "Okay, I'll take that as a yes. Get dressed, princess. I bought you a new dress, it's on your side of the cabinet." he winked.
As planned, we went grocery shopping first to buy stocks for his condo. Minsan talaga ay nawawala sa isip niyang i-check ang stocks niya. Kapag hindi ko sinasabi ay hindi niya pa alam.
"Milk, eggs, snacks, vegies, fruits, what else do you need?" I enumerated as I looked at our shopping cart.
"This." naglagay siya nung maliliit na box ng biscuit na may print na koala. I read the box, 'Koala's March - Strawberry'.
I looked at him weirdly. Isn't that for kids?
"What?" he eyed me. "It tastes good, love." he shrugged and pushed the cart.
Kaagad naman akong sumunod at kumapit sa bewang niya. "What about yung mga need mo for cooking? Do you have stocks pa?"
"Yup, we restocked last last week, 'di ba?"
Tumango ako at sumunod nalang nang dumiretso na siya sa counter. We loaded the grocery bags in his car and drove off to go to the amusement park as planned.
May restaurant malapit sa amusement park kaya dumaan muna kami doon para kumain ng lunch.
I was practically hugging Zayden because of excitement habang naglalakad kami papasok ng amusement park pagkatapos kumain. I looked around and giggled excitedly when I saw all the games and rides that we could try.
"Love, Ferris wheel!" sabi ko kaagad.
He pointed his cheek and grinned. "Kiss muna."
I rolled my eyes and jokingly punched his tummy. "Love, yung abs ko!" reklamo niya.
"Papansin!" I hissed but still kissed him para pagbigyan niya ako.
"Aren't you afraid of heights?" I asked him while we were in line.
Tumawa siya at umakbay sa'kin. "Nope."
"Ako medyo, you need to hug me para hindi ako matatakot." I said in a small voice and hugged his waist.
Of course that was a joke. Pero gusto ko maglambing eh, and he looks like he's in favor of it too dahil tuwang-tuwa siya at niyakap ako.
"Okay, princess." he said while laughing lightly.
We rode the ferris wheel and even tried other rides like bump cars and roller coasters.
When we were tired, we decided to just walk around and take pictures.
"OMG, love, look! Ang cute nung stuffed toy!" I pointed at a koala in plushie sa isang game. "That's your favorite, 'di ba? Look at how cute he is!"
"You want it?" he asked.
I quickly nodded. "Yes, please, lovie? For your princess?" I hugged his waist and looked up at him, pouting.
"This woman." He groaned and stared at me so I pouted even more, giving him my best puppy eyes.
"Okay, cutie. Pero kiss muna." He puckered his lips. I jumped excitedly and tiptoed to kiss him.
The game was a balloon and dart game. The player needs to hit a certain amount of balloons to get the panda prize.
Zayden got it with no sweat. He was so good at darts since he used to play darts when we were young.
I was happily hugging the stuffed toy while walking beside him, his hand was placed on my waist.
"What should we name him?" I asked him while staring at my new plushie.
"Him?" he asked. "What about Goofy?"
I gasped. "From Mickey Mouse?"
He chuckled when he saw my excitement.
"Yup. What do you think?"
"Cutie! Yes, I love it! I love you!" I happily said and kissed his cheek soundly.
He smiled and hugged me. "Are you tired?" he asked.
"More like gutom." I laughed and checked the time. It's already six in the afternoon.
"Let's go home? I'll cook sinigang."
I nodded and hugged him and Goofy. "I'll bake a strawberry shortcake for you."
"And I have a surprise for you." he kissed the tip of my nose.
Everything went according to plan that night. He cooked while I baked, it's something we do very often. Zayden graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts, while I graduated with a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.
I really find it cute. A Chef and a Baker.
We ate sinigang for dinner, then had strawberry shortcake for dessert. We had a Disney marathon that night too, like what we always do.
"Thank you for today, Zayden." I said in the middle of the movie.
He cuddled me more and kissed the tip of my nose, a habit I noticed that he loved doing.
"Are you happy?" he asked softly. I held his cheek and kissed his lips before nodding.
"So happy. Every moment with you makes me feel happy, Zayden."
We heard the doorbell ring. "Did you order something?" nagtatakang tanong ko.
"I have a surprise for you." He said instead.
"Really? There's more?"
Humiwalay siya sa'kin at bumangon. Nagtataka ko naman siyang pinanood habang naglalakad siya palabas ng kwarto niya.
I continued watching the movie while waiting for him. Natigil lang ako when I heard a small bark. I looked at the TV and my brows furrowed when I saw no dog in the scene.
I looked around and almost jumped when I saw Zayden standing by the door, holding a cute puppy.
"Oh my gosh, Zayden." napatakip ako sa bibig.
"Hi, mommy. I'm your son, Maxie." he said in a small voice, waving the small golden retriever's hand.
"Cutie!" I ran towards them excitedly. I hugged the puppy and my eyes watered when it barked and rested his body on my chest.
"He loves you." Zayden caressed the puppy's head.
"Hello, Maxie." I said in a small voice. "Why Maxie?" I asked my boyfriend curiously.
"I named her after the dog from The Little Mermaid, Max. I made it Maxie to make it cuter." He shrugged.
"I love it! Hi, Maxie! I love you so much already!"
"Maxie's our first son. We have a family now, princess." asar ni Zayden.
Natawa naman ako at humalik sa pisngi niya. "No complains. I love this family."
