I'm sorry for the very late update! I've been to countless sleepovers and galas with my cousins lately, halos hindi na ako umuuwi kaya nawawala na sa isip kong magsulat. 😭

+ I'm literally writing this chap while waiting for a pageant to start. 🥹🤌🏻

"Where are you taking me?" natatawang tanong ko kay Zayden habang sinusubukang tanggalin ang mga palad niyang nakatakip sa mata ko.

"Hey, no peeking." sita niya at naramdaman kong humalik siya sa tuktok ng ulo ko.

"Okay, careful." dahan-dahan niya akong inalalayan papunta sa kung saan. "Stand here and close your eyes. No peeking, okay?"

I sighed and nodded as I closed my eyes. Tinanggal niya ang mga kamay sa mata ko at mayamaya ay naramdaman kong medyo lumayo siya sa'kin. I kept my eyes closed like he requested and just waited for him.

"Okay, I'll count to three." he said. I nodded and smiled, my eyes still closed.

"One... two... three..."

When I opened my eyes, a marvelous lake in the center of a meadow welcomed my sight. The cold wind brushed my skin as the flowers danced along with it, and Zayden was just smiling at me.

"Wow." I gasped. "Where are we?"

"I honestly don't know." he chuckled. "I was driving around last week when my car broke down, walang signal so I couldn't call anyone. I tried waiting for a car na dadaan to ask for help but I got bored kaya naglakad-lakad nalang muna ako, then I found this place."

"What?! You could've gotten lost! You shouldn't be wandering around in the middle of nowhere, Zayden!" I scolded and looked around. The place is wonderful but we were probably in the middle of the woods at this point!

"Yeah, well sometimes you need to get lost first to find the right destination, right?"

"Oh my God, Zayden! That was a metaphor! You don't actually get lost!" Napahilot ako sa sentido ko.

"Hey, I got home safe naman, ah? And look around, I found a good picnic spot." He hugged my waist and grinned at me, wiggling his brows.

I frowned and smacked his arms. "What if you got harmed, huh? Hindi mo naisip na mag-aalala ako?!"

"Love naman." He whined. Ngumuso pa at nagpaawa para hindi na mapagalitan.

He hugged my waist, siniksik pa ang mukha sa leeg ko, nagpapalambing. "Sorry na."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Fine, it's a beautiful place. Thank you for taking me here." I smiled and hugged him back, "Thank you for making me feel like a princess everyday."

Medyo lumayo siya bago yumapos sa bewang ko. He stared at me and tucked the loose strands of my hair at the back of my ear. "Because you are my princess." He said softly.

"Is this the reason why we went grocery shopping for chips kanina?" I asked.

"Yep! I also brought a picnic blanket for us, wait here." he beamed and went back to the car.

While waiting, I stared at the lake near us and smiled. This place is so Pinterest coded! Ang ganda! 

I'm assuming that this is somewhere either near or on an actual mountain dahil kung ililibot ko ang tingin ko, may mga nakikita din akong mga bundok sa medyo malayo. The place doesn't look scary at all, considering that it's somewhere in the woods of an unfamiliar place.
