My dad woke me up and showed me Gavin's body and I freaked out "I don't un... I don't understand. What'd he do? What'd he do? What'd he do?" "He was trying to blackmail us, Son. I-" my dad said and i frowned. "What? Blackmail? What are you talking about?" I questioned and he sighed "The day at the... on the tarmac when you shot Peterkin, I needed to trust him because I needed him to fly the plane to the Bahamas." He said and I nodded "I gave him the gun, the gun that you used, and I told him to throw it out the window over the ocean on his way to the Bahamas." He said and sighed.
"But he didn't. He kept it." "Wait, wait, wait. What... what do you mean, he kept it?" I questioned and he put his hands on either side of my shoulders. "He kept the gun that you killed Peterkin with so he could blackmail us for more money." He told me and i frowned "Why would he do that?" I asked and he sighed "He was gonna turn you in, Rafe. He said you were a psychopath and that he wasn't going to jail for you. Now, will you please help me carry him to the boat?" He asked and I exhaled deeply then nodded "I got the head." I told him and we brought Gavin's body to the Druthers.
"I did not want this to happen, Rafe. You have to know that. I offered him so much. I offered him more than I had." He told me and I nodded "Oh my God... All right. All right, all right. What else needs to be done?" I asked and he sighed "I lost the gun." He said and I nodded "Tell me where. I'll get it back." I told him and he cleared his throat. "Grand. At the... at the... the construction site at Grand. It washed down the storm drain. We need to find it, get it back." He said and I nodded "All right." "Be careful...oh I also think Olivia is on to us." My dad told me and i frowned "What?" "I saw her car when I was trying to find the gun, I- I don't know if it was her or maybe one of her friends driving her car but it was her car so keep an eye on her." My dad said and I nodded "Yeah, okay." I muttered then walked towards the house.

We looked at the drain and saw all this trash "Okay, what's the plan Pope?" I asked and he sighed looking at the basin and shrugged "This is the North drain. It should've gotten washed into the gully." So, if it got flushed out from this drain,
it would've been pushed out to, like Somewhere in this trash." Pope said and I nodded "Correct." "Oh my God. People who use plastic should be shot." Kiara said and JJ frowned. "Okay, personally, I love plastic. Use it every day. Love the stuff." JJ said and I rolled my eyes "Hopefully, you recycle it and don't let it flush into the ocean." "I thought you'd say something like that, so... trash bags." Pope said and Kiara smirked "Did you just proactively protect the environment?" Kiara asked and Pope shrugged "Maybe."
Me and JJ both looked at each other and I cleared my the "You want us to leave you two alone, or what's going on?" "Yeah, like we can go if you guys..." I started and Pope threw a trash bag at us. "Just pick up the trash." He said and I started on a pile and trudged through the dirty drain water for an hour and nothing. "Well, that was fun." "If it's not in the trash, then it's gotta be in the storm drain." Pope said and JJ nodded "It's in... it's in the drain." "Damn it." "Of course it is." JJ, Pope, and Kiara said and I sighed "Good thing I brought the crow." JJ said and Kiara frowned "So, are we gonna do, like, rock, paper, scissors?" Kiara asked and I raised and eyebrow, the boys opened the bars on the drain. "No... Or alphabetically?" Kiara muttered and the boys just ignored her "Or, like, the oldest goes?" Kiara said and i frowned "Kiara, I'm the oldest?" I told her and she shrugged.
"In the sewer, there's this worm that you get when you're down there. It gets into your blood, and then it has to come out your pecker. So, uh... that would be a hard pass for me." "That's gonna be a no for me." The boys said and we both chuckled. "I get it, your scared." I chuckled and Kiara smirked "I'm not scared." "It's kind of cute." Kiara said and I frowned, I know she was being funny but I couldn't help but feel jealous. "It's the pecker thing... I'm not scared." "Nah, You should've just led with that." I muttered and Kiara nodded "You don't have to be scared. We'll do it." Kiara said and my eyes widened "What?!?" I questioned and she narrowed her eyes at me "Um yeah, yeah we'll do it." "Okay, just, you know, be careful." Pope said and Kiara smirked "I'll be so careful." He said and JJ cleared his throat "Um I know you'll be fine... Just, uh, holler if you need anything, okay?" He said and I nodded then I crawled into the drain and groaned "We'll, uh... we'll holler back." "Very helpful. Thank you." Kiara said and I sighed "Why do I get roped into these messes." I muttered and we got to the catch basin.
I looked through the dirty trash water and groaned "Kiara, Liv, you guys find anything yet?" "Yeah, Kie, do you see the gun?" The boys asked and tossed a few soda cans "Nothing." Kiara yelled and I sighed. "It's probably at the bottom of the catch basin." Pope yelled and Kiara tossed a soda can back "People are so shitty." She muttered and I felt something on the bottom of the catch basin and i frowned "Guys, I think I found something." I yelled to the boys and groaned "Ugh, gross." "Wait, you got it?" JJ yelled and Kiara sat next to me. "Is it the gun?" Pope yelled and I pulled the item up from the water and it looked like a dead animal and I screamed "Pope! Pope!" "Oh my God! You guys, there's something dead in here!" Kiara and I yelled and threw it back into the water. "Is it- Like a person?" Pope yelled and Kiara screamed as it touched her "Oh my God!" "There's something dead. I repeat... there is something dead in here!" Kiara and I yelled then I felt something hard with my foot.
"Kie, don't touch it. That's how you get worms." "Did you find the gun? Is it Gavin?" JJ and Pope yelled and I pulled up the gun and I smiled "What is it? Is it Gavin? Do you see the gun, Kie? Do you see anything?" "Don't touch it! Kie, is it a gun?" Pope and JJ yell and Kiara sighed "You guys owe us for life!" She yelled and I nodded.
Third Person POV
Rafe and Barry heard screams and they listened in "Did you find the gun? Is it Gavin?" JJ and Pope yelled and Rafe frowned "What is it? Is it Gavin? Do you see the gun, Kie? Do you see anything?" "Don't touch it! Kie, is it a gun?" Pope and JJ yelled and Rafe scoffed "They're in the sewer... Flush them out." Rafe said not knowing that Olivia was down there and Barry frowned "You flush that pipe, you gonna kill the rat... what if yo girl down there?" Barry questioned and Rafe frowned "Yeah. She wouldn't be stupid enough to be down there." He told him and Barry took a step closer to him. "The last thing you need is more dead bodies
showing up around this bitch. You realize
what you're doing if you do that?" Barry asked and Rafe sighed "If you wanna be a pussy, you can leave." "Do you not realize
what you are doing, bro?" Barry said and Rafe stepped closer "Get the hell out of the way." He muttered then Barry nodded "All right, then. All right, then, tough guy." Barry said and smirked "You don't wanna be here for this, go find the truck, okay?" Rafe threw him the keys and Barry left him to flush the pipes.
Pope and JJ both leaned forward listening to Kiara and Liv "What if Ward put Gavin in the sewer, dude?" JJ muttered and Pope frowned as he heard something "Hold on." He muttered while JJ just ignored him. "That makes so much sense." JJ said and Pope held his ear closer to the grate "Do you hear that?" Pope asked and JJ frowned "What?" "Listen." Pope muttered then JJ and Pope listened in on the noise.
Meanwhile Liv and Kie both heard water rushing and frowned as water rose into the catch basin "Oh, shit. Guys?" "Guys, the water!" The girls yelled to the boys and they frowned "Shit! Kiara, Liv, get out of there now!" Pope yelled to the girls and they went up to the way they came but water came rushing in. "We don't have time! Guys!" "Shit! Oh no! Kie!" Kiara and Liv yelled and they tried going up to the manhole up top.
The boys ran to the streets trying to find Kiara and Olivia "Kiara! Olivia!" Pope yelled and they heard the girls screaming in terror as the water was rising fast. "Please! Pope! Guys!" "Help! We're over here!" Kiara and Olivia yelled and they saw them pulling at the grate "Kiara! Olivia!" "Kie! Liv!" The boys yelled run in up the grate and JJ pulled at the grate then tried using his Swiss Army knife but the grate wouldn't open "The water is coming up!" "Pull! Pull it!" They yelled and Kiara looked down at Liv as the water was getting to her hips "Getting close! Pull! Pull!" Kiara yelled and the boys grunted in anger as they pulled at it but it wouldn't budge.
"Hurry! Hurry!" Liv yelled as the water go to her shoulders and she was struggling to hold on "Pope. Pope! Please! Please!" "We'll get you two out of there. I promise." Pope told them and JJ looked at Olivia seeing the fear in her eyes. "Come on. Come on." "JJ! Pope!" Liv cried as the water rushed out of the sewer drain, Kiara held her tight but Olivia lost her grip on Kiara's hand and Liv was pushed down, water rushed into her lungs.
"Liv!" JJ yelled and they pulled with every muscle and the grate came off and Kiara quickly grabbed Olivia's forearm pulling her up and the boys pulled her out first and then Kiara. Kie gasped and coughed up water and JJ looked at Liv "No, no, Liv! Stay with me, stay with me." JJ cried out and began CPR on Liv. Liv laid still as JJ checked her breathing and he pressed on her sternum again and again then gave her a few breaths "C'mon, Liv." Pope muttered as Kiara held his hand and stared at Liv "Breath, damn it!" JJ yelled and suddenly Liv started coughing up water and they all sighed in relief. "Oh thank god!" Pope muttered then Liv gasped for air "You're okay... you're okay." JJ muttered and Liv looked up at him "I fucking hate you guys... you owe me big time." She managed to let out as she was trying to cough up sewer water.
"Kiara. I thought we lost you." "Pope, get off me. Pope, get off me!" Kiara yelled looking at Liv making sure she was okay "Are you okay?" Kiara asked as Liv was coughing up the last of the sewer water and she nodded "Kie, you good?" JJ asked her and she held up a thumbs up then sighed "Never better." She said and JJ chuckled. Liv exhaled deeply then pulled out the gun from her back pocket "This wasn't what we were looking for, right?" She questioned then they all laughed "Oh my God." "Holy shit. Oh my God." Kiara and Pope muttered and Liv smiled. "We're gonna get this son of a bitch, man." JJ muttered then grabbed Liv's hand "Let's go, Liv." "Good job." The boys said and she shrugged "Yeah. Thanks... almost died so..." "You did it, Liv. You did it. Come on. Let's get this to Shoupe." JJ said and she nodded "Okay." She muttered and they all hugged and ran to the sheriffs station.

We sat the gun down on Shoupe's desk and he just sat there looking at the gun "So y'all are telling me this is the firearm Rafe Cameron killed Peterkin with?" He questioned, JJ, Pope and Kiara nodded, I just stared at it and that day just played over in my head. Peterkin's blood on my hands, Rafe holding that gun to my head, seeing my father and grandfather dead. I always kept it replaying so I don't forget them.
"That's exactly what we're telling you." "And the exact same firearm that Ward just used to kill Gavin." Pope said and Shoupe sighed "I-- And where's that corpse again?" "Didn't you look?" Kiara asked and he nodded "I checked the hospital. I went by his house. He was out." Shoupe said and i frowned. "He was out? No shit! 'Cause he's dead! Listen to yourself." "It makes perfect sense." Kiara and JJ said and Shoupe looked between them. "Just because he's not in his damn home does not mean he was a victim of a homicide." He said and we all frowned "What are you talking about?" "You gotta be kidding." "Are you at least gonna
send it in for ballistics and shit, or are you just gonna sit on your ass?" Pope, JJ, Kiara yelled and I just stared at his desk. "He'll sit there and wax that mustache. Is that even real?" JJ growled and I shook my head "Shut up, JJ!" Pope yelled and Kiara sighed "It's not fair." "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I hurt his feelings?" JJ muttered and Pope turned to him and yelled "Shut up!".
"Get out. I got work to do. Y'all are smelling up my office." Shoupe told us and Kiara frowned then JJ said something under his breathe "Did Ward bribe you? This doesn't make any sense." Kiara said walking out and so did JJ "You ain't gonna do shit." He said and I gripped the chair's arm rest. "Out!" Shoupe yelled at him and Pope sighed "We brought you the murder weapon. There's no logical reason for you not to send it in." Pope told Shoupe and he sighed "Go with your friends." He whispered and I closed my eyes for a minute "This is bullshit." I heard Pope said and he was right this is bullshit, even though I was a kook, the kooks get away with everything. "Olivia." Shoupe muttered and I shook my head "Shoupe you gotta believe us... I- I can't live like this anymore." I told him and stood up "I watched Peterkin get shot, I seen my grandfather take his last breath... I just want to see them be avenged, Shoupe." I told him and he nodded "If the roles were reversed Peterkin would believe us... please just look up the gun ID number... Please." I told him and walked out the door.
I saw JJ waiting for me and I sighed "I almost died JJ... I need to go home, see my siblings. We'll talk in the morning." I told him then stopped in my tracks "Don't worry... I'm not going to take any drugs or slit my wrists." I said reassuring him then went home.
I walked up my driveway to see Rafe waiting and I froze in place "Rafe, I don't have the energy right now for this..." "I'm sorry for dropping in like this, but uh I needed someone to talk to... and you're the only one who listens to me." He told me and I sighed "You can come in... but you have to wait in the living room, I have to shower, I smell like dirty sewer water." "Sewer water?" Rafe had a confused look and I shrugged "It's nothing... please just don't touch anything." I said and opened the front door "Mrs. Lana? Frankie? Robbie? Julian?" I yelled and silence flooded the hallways, I saw a note on the bulletin board "Took the kids out for a movie and pizza. -Lana. Great." I said sighing then went up the stairs to my room to grab my clothes.
I turned on the hot water and stepped into the shower lathering me with soap and scrubbed my skin, I couldn't help but remember all the trauma of Taylor. The first time he touched me, the first time he hit me, whenever he took my virginity without my consent... I scrubbed and scrubbed and my breathing became more rapid and I started sobbing "It's all my fault. It's all my fault. I'm so stupid." I cried over and over again I could see my skin was turning red, I had to try and wash away the pain, I was disgusted with myself. The drugs, the suicidal thoughts, the memories of his hands on me, I wanted to be clean, I wanted the pain to be gone.
Rafe
I sat on the couch but I couldn't resist going up the stairs and I looked at all the photos along the wall, Liv looked so happy in all of them. I stopped at one of them and it was Liv with her mom, when I looked in her eyes today she didn't have that light like she usually had.
"It's all my fault." I heard and I frowned "Liv?" I muttered and I could hear her crying "Liv? You okay?" I asked and I knocked on her shower door "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. It's all my fault!" Liv cried and I opened the door to Liv scrubbing her arm but they were red "Liv, Liv stop... you're clean. If rub any harder you'll bleed!" I yelled and grabbed her hands then she came to her senses "Hey. Liv, it's okay." I muttered as I saw she was scared and crying "It's all my fault." She cried and I grabbed her towel and wrapped her in it "C'mon, I think you're clean." I told her and I sat her on her bed then grabbed bandages for her arm.
Liv
"I uh- I'm going to the Bahamas tomorrow and I want you to come." Rafe told me and I frowned "Bahamas? In Nassau?" I questioned and he nodded "Yeah, me and my dad have some business. I realize that you've had a rough couple of weeks and I think it would be good for you to come with us." Rafe said and I nodded, they're probably going to get the gold. "Yeah, that would be great." I muttered, I turned my head and saw he was staring. "What?" I questioned and he shrugged "You're just beautiful." He told me and I smiled "We shouldn't." I whispered and he shrugged "I know but I miss you so much and I love you." Rafe whispered and we leaned in.
His lips pressed mine softly then they made their way down to my neck "Rafe." I mumbled, he made me crazy and my mind was just that. "What do you want?" He questioned and I sighed "I-" "Liv, we're home!" I heard and I cleared my throat then stood up and walked out of my bedroom to look off the banister to see Mrs. Lana. "How was the movie?" I asked and my siblings came up the stairs "It was great! We saw Trolls 2 and we had Pepperoni pizza and ice cream!" Frankie said and I smiled, Rafe came out from my room and Lana frowned "Rafe?" "Hi Mrs. Lana, I was just leaving... I'll see you tomorrow." He said then went passed Frankie nudging her, making her laugh. Rafe nodded then went out the door and I cleared my throat "Um that wasn't what it looked like." "You being home alone with Rafe Cameron in just a towel or you being home alone with a murderer. Olivia, he is dangerous." Lana answered as my siblings went to their bedrooms. "I know that Lana... but I can protect myself." I told her then went into my room and changed into some leggings and a T-shirt i found which was from JJ. I packed some clothes for the Bahamas and I sighed, there was a knock at my window and I saw Rafe "Hey." He muttered and I sighed "Sorry about Lana..." "it's alright, so you ready?" He asked and I looked at my phone, thinking if I should tell my friends about this or not. "Um yeah, I'm ready." I said putting my phone in my back pocket setting a note for Mrs Lana saying I'm going to be staying with a friend for a couple of days and Rafe helped me down to the ground then we made our way to Tannyhill.
