'I thought you were a knife expert.' I was watching him hit the target repeatedly right between where eyes would be
'Not quite. I just prefer them, and they work better in life or death situations.' He answered calmy, shooting another shot at the same exact spot
'So, why knives?' I ask, aiming at my own target, hitting it in the forehead as well. I am quite good at this
He was just dead quiet, not answering.
'I assume that's not something you wanna talk about?' I ask
'Keep shooting.'
That's all he said. I took that as a sign not to ask again.
'I think knives are way cooler anyway.' I added, shooting my target again, not even looking at him
'From being afraid to loving them. Progress.' He replies
'I told you. It's not the knives that scare me.' I put my gun down, looking at him. 'It's you. The way you handle those knives is nothing less than terrifying. It looks effortless, but you end up dying before you blink.'
'If you are so afraid of me, why are you here with me? All alone?' He turns to me just the same
'If you wanted me dead, I would have been dead back at that boiler room where you saved me.'
He just smiled to himself, going back to his target practice. 'Maybe I just couldn't be bothered with cleaning up your body.'
'Then how come I'm still alive? You could have slit my throat in my sleep a million times by now.'
'Namjoon.' He simply replies
I just chuckled, knowing he's just trolling. 'Sure. Namjoon.'
'Also, Yoongi was telling the truth. You are surprisingly good at this.' He pressed the button that brought my target back to us, squinting a little at it. 'A bit too good.'
'I suck at everything else. There had to be something I'm good at.' I joke
'Thing is, you're not bad at anything. You've picked up fighting in no time. Even the knives are going well.' He sounded like he was suspicious
'Yep. They are going great.' I laugh, raising my cut up fingers
'It's like you've done all of this before.' He took a step towards me, looking down at me
I was laughing until I realized he was serious. Then I turned a bit serious myself. 'Hold up. Are we seriously back at it again?' I whine
'I'll give you one more chance to come clean. Use it well.'
I took a step forward, walking almost into him. 'I. Am. This close. To shooting you.' I was looking directly into his eyes, standing my ground
He was glaring back at me all serious until he cracked a smile. 'I'm just testing to see how fast you lose your cool. Amusing.'
'Fuck you.' I punch him in the stomach, earning him to get me into a chokehold
'I'd suggest not to start a fight with someone much stronger than you.' He spoke right next to my ear again
'And I suggest not fighting someone you just pissed off.' I pushed his arm up, biting him as hard as I could
'Ow!' He let go and started rubbing his forearm. 'I've been stabbed and shot, and this is somehow more painful.' He grimaced
'Good, good. That's for being an asshole.' I tease
'An asshole, hmm?' He raises his eyebrow. 'Right about now, you have 30 seconds headstart to run and hide. And then I'm coming to beat your ass.'
I know I should be worried because he doesn't look like he's joking at all. I think he might actually kill me. But it's also somehow fun.
'20 seconds.' He was counting down and I still haven't moved. Fuck that.
I tried not to laugh as I sprinted out of the space and ran upstairs. I'll just lock myself in the room.
'What the hell are you doing?!' Yoongi yelled at me as I almost ran into him
I barely passed him when I heard Jimin running. 'Headstart and you're still behind.'
'No! NO! STAY BACK!' I hid behind Yoongi, hiding myself
'Wait, wait, wait. What is going on here?' Yoongi asks
'She bit me. And then called me an asshole.'
'Pffft!' Yoongi started laughing. 'Nice one, Rain.'
'Help.' I plead
'God won't save you right now.' Jimin went around Yoongi, trying to get me, but I just sprinted for the stairs. I didn't get far, though, as he caught me maybe 5 steps in. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
'PUT ME DOWN! JIMIN!!' I screamed as I was hanging upside down, smacking him on the back and butt
'I'll put you down for good.' He threatens, carrying me over his shoulder back down to the basement
'I'm sorry! I'm sorry! You're the most amazing person ever!' I was half screaming, half laughing
'Too late. You need to think about your words before you say them.'
He didn't let go until he took me back down, and then pretty much dropped me on the floor.
As much as it hurt hitting the ground, I was still laughing. It felt more like a game than anything.
He pinned me down with ease as I couldn't stop laughing, so my defence was zero.
'You like biting, do you?' He was just staring at me
'You told me to use whatever I can. I gotta save myself.' I giggle, not even fighting back
'Name a spot.' He kind of commanded
'What?' I chuckle in shock
'Name a spot, or I'm choosing myself.' He was still glaring at me
'A spot for what?'
'Time's up.'
Both my arms were pinned above me, and he used his other arm to grab my face, turning it to the side, and then he did something I would not have expected in 5 lifetimes. He bit me.
He went straight for the side of my neck, and he bit me pretty hard, making me wince. That fucking hurts.
The first few moments were really painful, and it made me wanna kick him in the nuts, and I could. But I didn't. After the initial pain, all I could feel were his lips on my neck. And it felt good. Really good.
I stopped resisting completely, even relaxing as much as I could, closing my eyes. He wasn't biting anymore. It was like... like he was leaving a love bite. And he didn't slow down until he felt me not moving at all.
He pulled away from my neck, forcing me to look at him. 'Does it feel nice being bitten?' He stared at me, waiting for a reply
Ah, I see. He wants to show me that it's painful. Except this wasn't.
'If this is how it feels, then yes.' I spoke quitely as I was looking into his eyes, feeling my cheeks burn
'What?' His eyes went wide open in surprise. He even released my arms.
I kind of acted without thinking it through, and before either one of us reacted, my hand was tangled in his hair. His hair is so soft...
'What the hell do you think you're doing?' He pulled my hand out of his hair, almost yelling at me
'I'm sorry!' I only now realized what I did. 'I didn't mean to. I just- it felt nice. You can do that anytime.' I spoke, looking at the ground. For a moment there I thought 'I wish he would do a lot more.'
'Just- don't bite me. You can do it to the others. The others are fine.' He sighs, switching the subject
I couldn't look at him, so I just nodded at the ground.
'This is enough for one day. You're free.'
He got up and left, leaving me on my own. I was there for a while, just thinking. And no matter what I wanted to think about, it all came back to him. I might be signing my own death sentence.
I'm falling for him.
