So Jahzara's mom actually ended up taking her phone but she gave it back to her today, so that's good.
Jahzara wanted to talk to Carmén before Valentines Day.
Jahzara remembered that Carmén came to the cornerstore at 3, so she figured she got home by 2:40.
She was getting ready to facetime the girl now. She just finished cleaning the whole house. That was another part of her extra punishment. She could only go to work and the store if she needed something.
She would've snuck out again to go over Carmén's apartment if she didn't get caught.
Jahzara's pressed Carmén's contact and waited for her to pick up the phone.
"Hola Carmén." Jahzara said happily once she saw the girl on her phone
"Hola." Carmén said back
"¿Acabas de llgar a casa?" Jahzara asked
(You just getting home?)
"Sí, no hace mucho tiempo. La escuela es miserable sin ti." Carmén exclaimed
(Yeah not too long ago. School is miserable without you.)
"Aww. Yo también te extraño." Jahzara said with a bright smile
(I miss you too.)
"No dije que te extrañaba." Carmén said jokingly
(I didn't say I missed you.)
"Básicamente lo hiciste. Sé queblo hiciste." Jahzara said with a smirk
(You basically did. I know you did.)
"Lo que sea. ¿Lo que has estado haciendo?" Carmén asked after she rolled her eyes
(Whatever. So what you been up too?)
"Limpieza. Lamemto no habler hablado contigo. Me atraparon." Jahzara explained
(Cleaning. I'm sorry I haven't talked to you. I got caught.)
"Pensé. ¿Cómo reaccionó tu mamá?" Carmén asked
(I figured. How'd your mom react?)
"Ella dijo que quiere conocerte." Jahzara answered
(She said she wants to meet you.)
"Oh no. ¿Ella lo hace? Esto es terrible. Ella va a pensar que soy una mala influencia." Carmén said, panicking
(She does? This is terrible. She's gonna think I'm a bad influence.)
"Ella dijo algo al respecto." Jahzara said
(She did say something about that.)
"¡No estás ayundando!" Carmén exclaimed
(You're not helping!)
"No te preocupes. Ella ya no hace eso. Le conté lo que pasó. Y estarás bien. Ella te amará." Jahzara said
(Don't worry. She doesn't think that anymore. I told her what happened. And you'll be fine. She'll love you.)
"Esto es tu culpa. Te dije que te fueras a casa." Carmén said while rolling her eyes
(This is your fault. I told you to go home.)
"¡eh! No pensé que el cobertizo llgara temprano a casa. Y deja de estresarte. Ella te habría de conocido trade o temprano." Jahzara said
(Hey! I didn't think she'd be home early. And stop stressing. She would've met you sooner or later anyways.)
"Tienes razón. Vamos a terminal con." Carmén said
(You're right. Let's just get over with.)
"Ms. Dani me ama. Será lo mismo con mi mamá." Jahzara said
(Ms. Dani loves me. It'll be the same with my mom.)
"Ustedes se conocieron en Buenos términos. No es lo mismo." Carmén said
(You guys met on good terms. It's not the same.)
"De todos modos, continuando, para que podamos dear de pensar en esto. ¿Alguien te ha molestado?" Jahzara asked
(Anyway, moving on so we can get your mind off of this. Had anyone bothered you?)
"No. Creo que están demasiado asustados para hacerlo. Ellos whisper cuando Camino por el pasillo. Creo que todavía están hablando de tu pelea." Carmén said
(No. I think they're too scared to. They whisper when I walk down the hallway. I think they are still talking about your fight.)
"La golpeé bastante mal, ¿no?" Jahzara said, proud of herself
(I did beat her up pretty good, didn't I.)
"Sí, sí. Lo que sea." Carmén said while rolling her eyes and trying to stop herself from smiling
(Yeah, yeah. Whatever.)
"De nada. ¿Celebras el día de San Valentín?" Jahzara asked
(You're welcome. Do you celebrate Valentines Day?)
"Cuando tengo un Dan Valentín. Pero sí, me encantan los dulces y los regards. Es tan dulcet cuando alguien hace eso pir alguien hace eso por alguien. Pero no he tenido un San Valentín Desdemona que estaba en 5th grado. Y eso ni siquiera cuenta." Carmén said
(When I have a Valentine. But yeah I love the candy and gifts. It so sweet when someone does that for somebody. But I haven't had a Valentine since I was in 5th grade. And that doesn't even count.)
"¿Cómo es que?" Jahzara asked
(How come?)
"No sé. A la gente no le gusto así." Carmén said while shrugging
(I don't know. People don't like me like that.)
"Eres una chica tan bonita y dulce. ¿Como ellos no podrían?" Jahzara asked
(You're such a pretty and sweet girl though. How could they not?)
"Te halagadora." Carmén said, beginning to blush
(You flattering me.)
"Soy real. Y tendrás un San Valentín este año. Lo sé." Jahzara said with a smile
(I'm for real. And you'll have a Valentine this year. I know it.)
"De acuerdo Jahzara. Si tú lo dices." Carmén said
(Ok Jahzara. If you say so.)
"No te sorprendas." Jahzara said
(Don't be surprised.)
"De acuerdo. Tengo que terminar mis otras tareas e ir de compression. Hablaré Contigo más tarde." Jahzara said
(Alright. I gotta finished my other chores and go shopping. I'll talk to you later.)
"Aidós Jahzara." Carmén said before Jahzara humg up
(Bye Jahzara.)
Jahzara already did her other chores. She just wanted to go shopping for some of Carmén's gifts she's going to give her.
She just had to ask her mother if she could take them to her.
Jahzara had left for work at 2:50 and made it on time for her shift to start. Once her shift was over, which was at 6:00, she went to the nearest jewelry store. After that she would just pick up something for dinner.
She had decided should would get Carmén a bracelet. Jahzara noticed she didn't wear any type of jewelry and thought it would look nice on her.
She decided to get her a heart charm, a music charm, and a headphones charm. She hoped she liked it. That wasn't all she was getting though. She was gonna get the girl some ice cream and a slushee since she liked it so much and some flowers. But she would buy that the day of.
She hoped her mother let her take it to her on Saturday. She didn't want to wait till Wednesday, when she got off of suspension.
It was around 7:30 when she got home. She had gotten some Chinese food for dinner. The bracelet would be ready on Friday, thankfully. Jahzara had purchased it before the Valentines Day rush came.
"Mamí, estoy en casa." Jahzara announced once she opened the door
(I'm home.)
"Hola, bebe. Thank you for get dinner." Her mother said as she walked in the kitchen
"Jahmere, ven a coner." Her mother shouted so Jahmere could hear her
(Come eat.)
"Thanks Zara." Jahmere said as he sat down at the table after getting his plate
"No problem. So Mami. Necesito preguntarte algo." Jahzara said
(I need to ask you something.)
"What is it?" Her mother asked before she she ate her food
"So Saturday is Valentines Day and I need to give someone something. Can I go?" Jahzara asked
"You somebody Valentine?" Jahmere asked
"Yeah." She responded
"How you got one?" Jahmere asked, making Jahzara scrunch up her face
"What you mean how I got one? I know your ass ain't getting one." Jahzara said
"How rude." Jahmere said with a gasp
"Córtenlo ustedeas dos. Deja de ser grosero con ti hermana, Jahmere. Sin maldecir en la mesa, Jahzara." Their mother said, scolding both of them
(Cut it out you two. Stop being rude to your sister Jahmere. No cussing at the table Jahzara.)
"Lo siento." The two said at the same time
(Sorry.)
The two glared at each other before the mother started talking again.
"So who are you giving a gift?" Her mother asked
"Carmén. You know the girl I told you about." Jahzara said
"Oh, yeah. You can go." Her mother responded with a grin
"Thank you Ma." Jahzara said, not noticing how she was looking at her
"Be back by 8:00pm though." Her mother input
"Alright. Do you want something?" Dhe asked her mother
"No that's ok baby. Thank you though." Her mother said
"I'll still get you something. I guess I'll get you some chocolate Jah. I know nobody gon get you nothing " Jahzara said
"Alright. Watch when I come home Friday with a whole bunch of bags." Jahmere said as he got up from the table
"Supongo que te conseguiré algo." Jahmere said
(I guess I'll get you something.)
"Tú mejor." Jahzara said
(You better.)
"Muy bien ustedes dos. Limpia y ve a la ducha. En la cama a las diez y media." Their mother said as she got up from the table
(Alright you two. Clean up and go shower. In the bed by 10:30.)
"Si, Mamí." The two said before there mother went back to her room
Jahzara loved her family. She planned to get them something before she came home from Carmén's. She was glad her mother let her go.
She was excited to see her in person again.
