Today will be the day the kidnapping will happen. A while ago Loid had told us that he would go out and said that he can't bring the two of us.
Seeing as Anya enjoyed yesterday's short trip outside she was adamant to come with him thinking of various 'adventure' that she may encounter. Going so far as to cling and clutch loid's pants.
Eventually he manage to rip off Anya's grip off of him before telling me to watch over her. This time however,I won't be tampering Anya's next action and even go as far as encouraging her.
I mean that scene in the anime was so comical and I would hate myself if I change it. Just as Loid went out Anya came to me and looked at me with her puppy eyes.
Smiling mischievously, I tap Anya's nose.
"What are you thinking little lady? Dad told us to stay inside." I said to her and she pouted at me.
" But nee-san! Adventure! Anya want to go adventure! " She exclaimed before running in circles. I watched her for a few seconds before feigning a hesitant look.
"Mmh then, why don't you play hide and seek?"
Just as I expected her eyes lit up excitedly looking at me with expectation.
"Really?!!"
"Yup! But under a few rules, okay?"
"Mmh-mmh!!!"
"Then the first rule is that if Dad found you you it's game over and you have to stay inside, Second you can only have 6 chance. Once that's over Anya had to stop. And lastly, Anya can't tell dad that I agree with it okay? " I smiled at her lifting three of my fingers.
She nods her head and crossed her heart with her right hand. " Promise! WAKU WAKU! "
" Then I'm going in the bathroom to shower. If Dad ask you where I am just tell him that okay? "
" 'Kay"
I smiled at her then motioned for her to go outside while I work my way up to the bathroom. Not a minute gone I already heard the door being opened and loid's and Anya's voices.
I chuckled to myself before ignoring the noise, trusting Anya to explain my situation. A couple more minutes inside the tub I decided to dry myself and leave the bathroom after hearing a loud slam of the door.
I then stare at Anya who is giggling happily.
"Did you have fun?" I asked her.
"Yup! Anya has tons of fun! Dad was great at finding Anya!"
"Greater than me?"
"Yup! But nee-chan is still my favorite!"
"I see. Well then, nee-chan is going to read some books and take a nap so you can watch the tv or join me later okay?"
"Mmh-mmh!"
After giving Anya a pat on the head I went to our shared room and took one of the books I borrowed from Loid.
'Soon Anya will meddle with loid's tool and alert his enemies resulting for her to get kidnapped. There shouldn't be any problem but I should still be prepared. The apartment is still barricaded so he should still be alerted of intruders. I guess the only difference is me. An unknown variable. I wonder.... will I get in the way of loid's rescue?'
Loid's POV
After finally getting rid of Anya I went directly to my previous appointment. Just as I arrive I saw a short man with curly black hair, square like face, and a sunglasses. Overall just an average looking guy.
I told him the reason I was late to let some steam.
"So that's why your late?"
"I had no choice but to barricade the door to lock her in"
" Let's hope you don't get reported for child abuse"
" I'm sure y/n will reign her in if she gets out of control. Based on my observation she's a bit mature for her age she'll think of some explanation for the neighbors."
" Still I don't know what goes on a child's head. The way they try to cry away their problems ticks me off. " I told him as I leaned in the counter.
" Crying is pretty much their job Twilight, don't think too much of it. Anyway, here, as per your request 2 application form, 2 exam ticket, and exam questions. Not an easy thing to get you know?"
" Your a life saver Franky. With this they'll be able to pass. "
Just as I took away the envelope, he gave me a folded paper.
" Oh yeah! The kids! The orphanage had no records for them, but I found it. Nothing on Anya's birth, age and parents, both unknown. Couldn't find anything beyond the last year or so, but she's been in four foster homes, returned each time. Bounced between a fair few orphanages too."
As Franky said it I began to read the info on Anya. Anya Williams, Anya Levski, Anya Roche, she got returned a few times huh.
"Y/n however is this. She's born on (m/d/y), age 9, parents are (dad's name) and (mom's name) both deceased, cause car accident. No other relative. There was a couple of years where she went missing but then appeared in an orphanage just a 2 years ago. Got returned a few times and changed orphanage 3 times."
" A similar situation with Anya. I guess that's why they got along so well" I muttered to myself.
" Oh right! There's one more thing. About y/n, on those years she went missing I think someone adopted her, but I couldn't find any information about it. It's like someone is trying to hide or erase any information about it. Also her medical records have gone missing but I did get salvage this information. Y/n has been admitted to this hospital (hospital name) before her parents accident, the reasons are unknown but the strange thing is the last place she was seen before going missing is in the hospital. She had an appointment with doctor [X] even tho her parents are dead already. And that doctor 'died' a few weeks after y/n was last seen"
Franky finished as he look at me seriously.
" There might be more about y/n so keep your guard up"
I took a second thinking about what he said before nodding. Then suddenly he clapped his hands and the heavy atmosphere disappeared, replaced by a lighter one.
"Anyway swapping names left and right! Mysterious back ground! Like father like daughters! "
I glared at him telling him to shut up.
"Woah I'm just kidding man! Anyway don't get too attached to them, it'll just get in the way of the mission"
" Sure, I'll keep that in mind"
After I said that I went back to the apartment thinking of all the information I have. Clearly y/n is a bit suspicious. Using Anya as an excuse did she want to get near me? No. Twilight don't overthink things. First let's just observe them there's still time to return them just incase.
Climbing the stairs I felt something wrong. When I finally reached the barricaded door I saw traces of it being moved.
'Intruders!'

Sorry I haven't updated much but I'm busy getting my lil brother into anime. I started to let him watch toilet bound hanako-kun as his first anime and spyxfamily as his second one then some of the Ghibli studios movie like Howl's moving castle (Gosh Howl is so handsome!!!!), Spirited away, Ponyo,and My neighbor Totoro. I think I'll let him watch Castle in the sky next after he finished spyxfamily then let him watch a few more of my chosen child friendly ones.
