Sugar is sweet.

And violets are indeed generally blue.
But I was the sweet one.
And you didn't have a clue.
Time passed. Days, months, and years, all I could do is conceal my own love, so I wouldn't break your heart.
I thought that your eyes sparkled like the stars in the sky, a splatter of beauty and a navy blue.
Throughout all of my life, I shouldn't find such a love greater or lesser, other than you.
I was drinking with a bunch of friends that night, and you sped by.

As your throat sparked and your vocals lit up, I sat in utter peace.
Too amazed for even a sip out of my cup, as I asked God please.
