(This arc takes place after the 3 separate but before they're all in that big city but unaware of each other's presence in that city)
(We see (Y/N) is on a train as he arrives at his stop as he gets off and into the station as he opens his bag but we cut away as he steps out of the station as he's now in winter clothing attire as he looks at the place covered to the brim in snow and ice as he hears a commotion)
(Y/N): huh? What's going on?
(He rushes off ahead to it and as he arrives he sees a girl running off smiling and waving)
Girl: thanks once again for keeping that geezer busy!
Man: Nia wait! (She runs off as he sighs and then looks mad) okay lad, you've asked for this for buttin' in blindly, time to give you a trouncin'!
Familiar voice: I don't even know who you are! I just ended up here and wanting to do some training!
Peony: well the name's Peony now let's battle!
Zoro: why?
Peony: don't underestimate me! I was once a gym leader in the Galar region and even became champion once upon a. Time ago, I'm far from being weak!
Familiar voice: (sighs) whatever, if it shuts you up then sure.
((Y/N) arrives as we see Peony and the familiar voice is none other than Zoro)
(Y/N): (excited) Zoro!
Zoro: huh? (Looks to see (Y/N)) (Y/N)! Long time no see.
(Y/N): yeah!
Peony: oi lad you're interrupting our battle! I need to get back to my Nia as soon as possible! You wanna fight too I'll take you both on!
(Y/N): sure.
(He then gets two pokeballs out as both (Y/N) and Zoro get a pokeball out)
Peony: copperajah, aggron I choose you! (Sends out copperajah and aggron)
Zoro: kabutops let's go! (Sends out kabutops)
(Y/N): thievul I choose you! (Sends out thievul)
(The battle begins)
Zoro: okay kabutops use liquidation!
(Kabutops charges in and uses liquidation hitting copperajah as copperajah still where it isn't and doesn't even skid back at all)
Zoro: that's one stalwart steel type.
Peony: copperajah use superpower! Aggron use body press!
(Copperajah uses superpower as it goes to hit kabutops)
Zoro: block it!
(Kabutops is hit and puts it's blade arms up to try and block as the attack causes it to skid back a lot and it has damage but it's till up and ready to fight)
(Meanwhile aggron leaps and is about to land on thievul)
(Y/N): now use dig!
(Thievul uses dig avoiding aggron and hits it in the back for heavy damage but as we see aggron get hit on the back and fall forward we see it do a quick 180 degree turn and hit Theivul with body press dealing massive damage too)
(Y/N): thievul!
(We see aggron is on top of thievul and thievul is trapped)
Zoro: alright kabutops time for our newest move, use rock slide!
Peony: you two keep your guard up!
(Kabutops uses rock slide as it summons rocks and fires them as copperajah is batting away any rocks that come at it with its trunk as aggron is hit in the back as the rocks that head its way like on top of aggron's back as Zoro grins)
Zoro: you're up
(Y/N): (grinning too) yeah, thievul use burning jealousy!
(Thievul uses burning jealous as it begins flaring up as aggron tries to jump off but the rocks on it's back slow it down and thievul grabs aggron and thievul just has loads of fire shoot off it as it hits aggron and a tiny bit shoots out and hits copperajah too though not much compared to aggron who's taking 95% of the attack as aggron is reeling back from the attack and stumbling back and thievul is free)
Peony: aggron iron head! Copperajah body press!
(Aggron uses iron head after refinement from the hit as copperajah gets ready to use body press as it heads towards kabutops)
(Y/N)/Zoro: dodge it!
(Both thievul and kabutops dodge the attacks and are now together as they look and nod as do the two trainers)
Zoro: use liquidation!
(Y/N): use dig!
(Both Pokémon use their attacks as thievul boosts kabutops further into the air as kabuto boots thievul towards the ground fats as thievul tunnels under the ground as kaburops uses liquidation hitting the aggron and sending it back as it lands near Peony unable to battle)
Peony: aggron! (Returns aggron) have a good rest. Copperajah use superpower!
(We see copperajah use superpower as is smashes the ground around it and thievul emerge hurt from that but it still pulls through and strikes copperajah in the side as it then looks and sees copperajah's trunk heading its way to swat and bat it away but we see thievul grab onto it and latch on)
Zoro: use liquidation!
(Kabutops lepas at copperajah and uses liquidation hitting copperajah multiple times as after the 3 hits we see copperajah is still standing as we see it's defence stat lowered even more alongside the two attack and defence debuffs it got from using superpower)
Peony: get it off and use play rough!
(Copperajah starts rampaging and running about as kabutops jumps out the way as copperajah then runs and bashes thievul into loads of trees as the trees are sent flying and just uprooted with ease from the force of copperajah as thievul stays held on for as long as it can but after the 6th tree thievul's grip loosens enough for copperajah to get free and then uses play rough hitting thievul and thievul goes flying towards (Y/N) damaged a lot but still able to battle)
Zoro: kabutops finish it!
(Peony's eyes widen as he and copperajah look at the sky as we see kabutops who is high like really high in the sky coming down fast)
Zoro: use x scissor!
(Kabutioos puts it's blades in a x shake and starts spinning really fast while falling fast as it hits blitxges and lands past copperajah and as copperajah's eyes slowly look at kabutops it's eyes widen as it falls to the ground unable to battle)
Peony: no copperajah! (Returns copperajah) you did great. (Puts the pokeball away as he looks at the two trainers) I didn't expect to take a thrashin' from you two but now I really need to- (he stops as he looks around as no one else is in sight) my Carlin' daughter has disappeared! Where has my sweet Nia gone!
Zoro: that was your daughter?
Peony: of course she is! She's the sweetest and darlingest daughters a dad could ever ask for! I brought her here so we could have a father-daughter trip and now that we get here, she gets the first trainer she finds and uses them as a decoy to battle me and then legs it! That's my dear Nia for you (laughs hysterically) oh her and her backwards way of showing her dad she loves him (laughs more)
(Y/N): huh, you're really different than I thought you'd be
Peony: what'd you mean by that.
(Y/N): you look like someone familiar
Peony: wait, wait, wait let me guess. Is the person ya thinking of that is known as chairman chairman Rose.
(Y/N): actually yeah.
Peony: (laughs) I thought so, believe it or not loads of people get me mixed up with him (laughs hysterically until he stops and remembers the current situation) wait without her I can't do the adven-tour of all these legendary spots I planned for this father daughter trip.
Zoro: she said she was at the max lair whatever that is
Peony: right! (Gets determined) she really just want her dad to chase after her, I better not waste any more time! I'm coming my sweet Nia! (He rushes off as some things fall out of one of his pockets as (Y/N) picks them up once noticing them)
Zoro: that was weird, great now we can move on with our lives
(Y/N): hold up a minute, we may need to follow him.
Zoro: (has his teeth grit irritated) and why?
(Y/N): we need to give these back
Zoro: huh?
(They look at these things and they can see they're clues of sorts)
Zoro: (sighs) let's go.
(They return their Pokémon and start to head off)
(We cut back to them still looking around but we see (Y/N) has a rope around Zoro's wrist)
Zoro: is the rope necessary!
(Y/N): I mean you can't get lost if we're tied at the rope but even so it's more vital incase a snow storm or something happens and this way incase a snow storm does occur we reduce the risk of losing each other.
Zoro: that's a fair point I guess.
(Y/N): besides I think we can't are it off now since it looks like were here.
(They take the rope off and enter as they see Peony talking to someone)
Woman: sir I've told I can't let you in!
Peony: oh yeah you can! My dear Nia is in there and I'm goin' in after her!
Woman: I'm sorry sir but I-
Peony: but what huh! I'm here to have an adventure!
Woman: I'm sorry but it can't be done!
((Y/N) and Zoro arrive onto the scene as the woman sees this and Peony looks at what the woman is looking at and sees (Y/N) and Zoro)
Peony: oh hi lads, I see you decided to come here too.
(Y/N): what's all the kerfuffle about?
Peony: this ultra mega numpty of a "researcher" insists on getting in my way!
Woman: numpty?! I beg your pardon sir! If you'd just do the simple and Perot an easy task in the form of listening then I could let you through! Dynamax adventures are filled with dangerous and powerful Pokémon and I'm afraid
Peony: screw this crap I can't just stand around while you rattle off the fine print!
Woman: (sighs) I can't be done with this, it's getting nowhere (she looks to (Y/N) and Zoro) you two seemed acquainted with this man
Zoro: I wouldn't say that, wish we never met him but oh well.
Woman: could you tow at least listen to my explanation! If so, I can allow you three to enter as a trio
Peony: now we're getting to the meat of things! Let's hear what this marvellously knowledgable researcher lady has to say! Then we can find my sweet Nia together!
(Y/N): (ignoring Peony) so let's get the explanation.
Woman: very well. The max lair is a labyrinth underground cavern where rare pomelo dwell, the likes of which normally can't be sighted nor found in the Galar region. Ti avoid the overexposure of Galar particles which can cause your own Pokémon to dynamax and lose control we have prepared Pokémon for you that are resistant to the effect of the particles
Peony: I get what ya sayin'. You're sayin' you don't want Galar losin' control so the Pokémon rent some particles and we have a chance of seeing this overexposure.
Woman: you somehow managed to get that completely wrong sir. I can't stress and emphasize how dangerous this place is, having a trim grasp on the rules is a necessity.
Peony: huh I still don't get it but that's the type of place this is. Well, thinking about it hurts my head too much so I'll just get started and head straight in (he rushes past her and enters) Nia, your dad is coming!!!
Woman: no sir!! I literally told you that place is too dangerous!!! (She sighs) what is wrong with that male, his resemblance to chairman rose is second to none but the attitude is the total opposite.
(Y/N): we apologise about that miss he doesn't seem to communicate with others very well, may we get your name?
Nerak: of course, my name is Nerak. So are you ready to chase him down? Pardon me excuse my language he was just getting on my nerves. What I should be saying is, are you ready to begin your dynamax adventure?
(Y/N)/Zoro: yeah!
Nerak: I should say I'll allow you to keep one Pokémon you've caught on your dynamax adventure
(Y/N): okay.
Zoro: sure.
(A/N): imma pull the curtain back a little but I'm excited for this next bit because the rental Pokémon that are options at the beginning, and the 3 dynamax Pokémon you battle have all been randomly selected by me rolling a d226 dice, the movesets are the same as they are when you get them in the games and the legendary at the end I've picked out and I'll be choosing the moves the random 2 other trainers will use but apart from those things everything else has been decided by dice.
(Nerak has 3 pokeballs and sends out three Pokémon as we see the first three are a hitmonlee, a musharna and a piloswine)
Nerak: whoever chooses first has these three to pick from these three.
(Y/N): okay I'll go with hitmonlee.
Nerak: okay.
(Returns hitmonlee and hands the pokeballs to (Y/N))
Nerak: as for you young man, you have these two and this next one
(She picks up a pokeball and throws it and out comes an obstagoon)
Zoro: I guess I'll go with obstagoon
(Nerak returns and gives obstagoon's pokeball to Zoro)
Nerak: now off you two go.
(Y/N)/Zoro: right.
(They enter as they're walking down a path they meet up with these two random strangers as they notice them)
Stranger 1: (female) oh hey!
Stranger 2: (female) can we travel together as a group of 4?
Zoro: we're you with others?
Stranger 1: yeah but the others with us got scared and ran off and we really wanted to do this but if we left we'd never get to go back in and it'd all be for nothing
(Y/N): I see, well I don't see the harm in it, you don't seem to have any suspicious or malicious intentions. However, can we get your names?
Wanda: sure I'm Wanda Rer.
Amy: and I'm Amy less!
(Y/N): good to know. Now let's see the challenge that awaits us.
(They decide a path and head right as they reach a big open space and in there awaiting for them is a dynamaxed lurantis)
(Y/N): a lurantis!
Amy: let's do this!
(They send out their Pokémon as hitmonlee and obstagoon are sent out on the battlefield as we see Wanda send out a Nidoking and Amy has an araquanid as the battle begins)
Zoro: obstagoon use screech!
(Obstagoon leaps up and uses screech as loud as it can as the noise reaches the dynamaxed lurantis and it starts hurting its ears and it's defences are lowered)
(Y/N): okay it's our time to attack, hitmonlee use blaze kick!
Wanda: Nidoking use ice punch!
Amy: araquanid use lunge!
(The three Pokémon attack and strike the lurantis doing tons of damage as the lurantis looks a bit hurt as in retaliation it shoots out these giant seeds as it's using max overgrowth)
Zoro: incoming! Dodge it everyone!
(The Pokémon attempt to dodge as hitmonlee and obstagoon jump high into the air as we see araquanid and Nidoking not make it in time and get caught in the explosion of the seeds as it does a ton of damage but they aren't out quite yet but we see lurantis isn't done as it looks at hitmonlee and obstagoon and fires leaf storm which hits them causing a huge explosion and them to hit the ground hurt but not out as we see lurantis get stronger from this)
(Y/N): contrary
Zoro: so that means...
(Y/N): yeah.
Amy: what does it mean.
(Y/N): it's next special attack is gonna be a hell of a lot stronger, especially that leaf storm which will make or even stronger the time after that.
Zoro: we need to end this now.
Wanda: I'm on it. (We see she has a dynamax band and activates it as she returns Nidoking and the pokeball grows larger) dynamax! (She throws it as the pokeball opens and outcomes dynamax Nidoking)
Zoro: obstagoon screech one more time!
(Obstagoon uses screech and lowers lurantis' defence once again)
Wanda: max flare!
(Nidoking uses max flare as it shoots this giant fireball at lurantis who gets hit by it and is knocked down but we see it slowly start ti try and get back up)
(Y/N)/Amy: blaze kick!/lunge!
(Both Pokémon pounce on top and deliver their attacks as the lurantis falls back down and is unable to battle as they jump off)
Zoro: it's down but it's still dynamaxed?
(Y/N): yeah normally after I've beaten a dynamaxed Pokémon they shrink down but this one hasn't.
Zoro: (grins) I like it's spirit.
Wanda: don't worry I think I know what to do
(Wanda has another Pokeball out as she uses her dynamax band and makes another Pokeball giant and throws it as the pokeball hits the lurantis as it goes and shakes three times and pings meaning they got it)
Wanda: do any of us want to swap out and use lurantis?
Amy: I'm not sure, it could be risky.
(Y/N): let's proceed on for now and out next battle will determine whether it was a wise move or not.
(They nod as they enter the next part crossroad as they choose to go left this time and enter another giant space and this time awaiting them is a dynamaxed crawdaunt)
(Y/N): a crawdaunt?
Zoro: maybe lurantis wouldn't have been such a bad choice to use actually
(We see obstagoon hear this and looks annoyed as it then just starts off the battle by firing a Thunderbolt hitting crawdaunt)
Zoro: never mind I take back what I said. (Obstagoon smirks)
(Y/N): hitmonlee use low sweep!
Amy: araquanid use lunge!
(Hitmonlee uses low sweep on the legs of crawdaunt as it's speed lowers and lunge hits successfully as like the lurantis battle which I forgot to mention here too crawdaunt's attack is lowered)
(A/N): I figured there'd be no point in mentioning it since the lurantis battle wouldn't be very long and it was primarily a special attacker with it's only physical attack being x scissor but never mind the itty gritty stuff let's get back to this.
Wanda: Nidoking use thunder punch!
(Nidoking's fist is coated in electricity as it uses thunder punch hitting crawdaunt as we see it is now paralysed but we see it fight back as it uses lash out which hits hitmonlee doing heavy damage as the it's usual damage is doubled as it then uses facade which hits araquanid doing double damage as we see araquanid tumble back by Amy unable to battle)
Amy: oh no araquanid! I better heal it back up
(With araquanid temporarily out the battle it's up to the other three)
(Y/N): we're ending this now!
Zoro: right! Now use screech!
(Obstagoon uses screech lowering the crawdaunt's defences)
(Y/N): hitmonlee use close combat, full power!
Wanda: Nidoking use thunder punch one more time!
(Both Pokémon go for their attacks as crawdaunt is nervous and goes to launch an attack before they do as it tries to use max geyser but it's stopped as it's paralysed and can't move as both Pokémon put their all into these attacks landing devastating blows as the giant Pokémon is launched back and lands in its back as it shrinks down defeated as we see Amy get a pokeball out and throw it and captures crawdaunt)
Amy: I'm gonna swap out and use crawdaunt instead of araquanid.
Zoro: not a bad idea
Wanda: yeah, it'll probably be more beneficial in the long run but araquanid still did a great job to get us this far
(Y/N): I agree, now squad let's move out.
The other 3: right!
(They entered the next path but as they walk they are greeted by this guy)
Guy: hi kids!
(Y/N): who are you?
Ike: I'm Ike the hiker and I work here and I'm here to offer you kids something before moving on.
Zoro: what is it?
Ike: berries to heal up your injured Pokémon so they're in better shape for the next battle or you could refuse it of course.
(Y/N): I think we should do it.
Wanda: yeah all 4 Pokémon will be tired in some sort of way so I'm in
Amy: me too.
Zoro: can't argue with that
(They send out their Pokémon as the Pokémon eat their berries and talk as the 4 kids talk with each other to pass the time and after some time passes the Pokémon finish eating their berries and are ready to move out as they are returned to their pokeballs)
Ike: good luck kids, it's just two more battles left
(They nod and wave goodbye as they head into the third room where awaiting for them is none other than a dynamaxed copperajah)
(A/N): I swear I'm not making this up, I rolled a d226 and the result was 224
(The battle begins as copperajah starts off with a max steelspike that heads their way)
(Y/N): watch out!
(Three Pokémon dodge out the way but we see crawdaunt ready and takes a stance as it takes it head on and skids back but we see Amy smile)
Amy: now use lash out!
(Crawdaunt uses lash out as it hits back at copperajah doing damage back but copperajah seems fine)
(Y/N): let's not hold back (he returns hitmonlee and activates his dynamax band) let's go! (He throws out hitmonlee as it's now dynamaxed) now use max knuckle!
(Hitmonlee uses max knuckle as this giant fist rains down from the sky hitting dynamaxed copperajah as the 4 pokemon's attack increases)
Zoro: obstagoon use facade!
(Obstagoon uses facade hitting copperajah)
Wanda: use fire punch!
(Nidoking uses fire punch hitting copperajah and thanks to rivalry it does less damage compared to where it was doing more damage in the last two battles which I also forgot to mention but on the more positive side of things we see the dynamaxed copperajah gets burned as copperajah retaliates by firing a flash cannon hitting dynamaxed hitmonlee but it's still fine)
Zoro/Amy: use lash out!
(Both Pokémon in obstagoon and crawdaunt charge in and use lash out hitting the copperajah)
Wanda: use fire punch again!
(Nidoking uses fire punch but as it's about to hit the punch copperajah's jumps back and Nidoking misses but this gives an opening for hitmonlee)
(Y/N): use max knuckle again!
(Hitmonlee does max knuckle again hitting copperajah and it looks hurt as it gets hurt by burn as it uses a max knuckle of its own as it heads towards obstagoon who wouldn't be able to get out the way in time until a giant leg steps in front of obstagoon and takes the max knuckle head as we see it's hitmonlee who stumbles from taking the attack)
(Y/N): hitmonlee!
Zoro: thanks.
(Obstagoon looks up at hitmonlee and gives it a nod of sorts as hitmonlee gives a thumbs up)
Wanda: Nidoking use high horsepower!
(Nidoking with an opportunity to attack goes and delivers a powerful kick into the leg of copperajah)
(Y/N): max flare!
(Hitmonlee shoots out a massive fireball at copperajah as copperajah uses max steelspike as these spikes of steel come out and while the max flare destroys the top parts of them and hits copperajah the bottom section of the max steelspike which is the part that moves hits obstagoon as Copperajah's defence increases once again and the battlefield becomes sunny)
Zoro: lash out!
(Obstagoon charges in and uses lash out)
Wanda: fire punch!
(Y/N): blaze kick!
(Both Pokémon use their fire attacks as the three Pokémon strike copperajah as there's a huge explosion as the Pokémon land as we see copperajah still standing as it makes a loud noise from its trunk and goes to take a step forward but as it does copperajah falls onto its side and shrinks down and it has been defeated as Wanda throws a pokeball and catches the copperajah)
Zoro: so the next one up is the last battle against the special Pokémon in the next cavern we choose.
(Y/N): yeah it's gonna be tough.
Zoro: wait that reminds me, we're supposed to be looking for that idiot, wher has he actually gone
(Y/N): people say the same thing about you
Zoro: shut up!
(Y/N): okay, okay. Let's just get this last battle done
(They enter the last cavern as the gang see this large area is filled with this smoke as they see this massive silhouetted Pokémon as it's eyes open, to reveal these red eyes and it sees them as the Pokémon roars loud and the smoke is blonde away revealing it to be entei)
Wanda: that's an entei!
Amy: so special Pokémon can be a legendary Pokémon?!
Zoro: I did want to fight more legendary Pokémon even if I did mean with my own Pokémon, maybe going after the idiot will be beneficial after all.
(Entei roars as it fires a max flare which hits obstagoon as the other Pokémon charge in)
(Y/N): use low sweep!
Wanda: high horsepower!
Amy: muddy water!
(Crawdaunt uses muddy water as it jumps and when it lands water that is not clean shoots out and hitting entei in the legs as it doesn't seemed fazed as hitmonlee and Nidoking land their attacks to entei's chest and land on the ground)
Zoro: lash out!
(Out from the smoke obstagoon lunges out and is let's say not best pleased as it rushes out and hits entei as these black things shoot out from entei as it hits Nidoking)
Wanda: that was max darkness
Zoro: thunderbolt!
(Obstagoon fires a Thunderbolt hitting entei)
(Y/N): I've got a plan
Zoro: it's better now than later.
(Y/N): okay but first it requires
(We cut away as entei finally as it roars and looks mad and in retaliation goes to stamp on the ground)
Amy: oh no you don't! (Activates her dynamax band as she returns crawdaunt) dynamax! (She throws the pokeball as out comes crawdaunt who is now big and dynamaxed) now throw them and use max geyser!
(Dynamaxed crawdaunt picks up and throws the 3 Pokémon as they land on the dynamaxed entei's back as it then begins to form max geyser and fires it as we see the ground beneath it open up as it gets hit with max strike and max geyser hits entei and it begins to rain)
Zoro: use screech!
(Obstagoon goes close to entei's face and screeches in it as it gets frustrated by this)
(Y/N): hitmonlee use close combat!
Wanda: high horsepower!
(Hitmonlee delivers its close combat and Nidoking hits high horsepower onto entei's back as its feeling it but it roar as once again and uses extreme speed as it spins around fast and the speed causes the Pokémon to fall off entei instantly as entei hits them all back towards their trainers as they slam into the ground leaving dents in it but entei stops spinning and then begins to get ready to use max flare
Amy: we'll block it for you all!
(Y/N): no need, just use max geyser
Amy: but-
(Y/N): trust me!
Amy:... crawdaunt use max geyser!
(Crawdaunt begins charging up max geyser but by this time we see entei has fired the max flare)
(Y/N): hitmonlee use blaze kick and kick the max flare away!
(Hitmonlee jumps high into the air and as it gets high into the air as it has blaze kick ready as it kicks with all its might as it's struggling and in a standstill but as it lets out one mighty yell it kicks the max flare off to the side and begins falling down as crawdaunt uses max geyser and with no max flare hitting it directly hits entei as entei looks weak but with a roar it uses max darkness as it shoots out and hits hitmonlee directly and as there's a huge explosion we see hitmonlee land unable to battle)
(Y/N): hitmonlee! (Returns hitmonlee)
Wanda: Nidoking high horsepower!
Zoro: use lash out!
(Both Pokémon charge in with their attacks as entei stands the ground and uses max strike as it hits both Nidoking and obstagoon as they don't get 5ekr attacks off but the max strike keeps going and hits dynamaxed crawdaunt as we see Nidoking is knocked out and obstagoon is almost out of energy as crawdaunt is heavily damaged too and while unlike the last time the change wasn't apparent this time the storm and energy around entei picks up more and more growing stronger as it's almost unbearable)
Wanda: we don't have much time left! (Returns Nidoking)
Amy: Crawdaunt just charge and pin down entei!
(Crawdaunt charges in and there's a struggle of physical prowess as Crawdaunt then uses a claw and strikes entei's front legs causing it to lose power and for Crawdaunt to quickly for the brief opening of time capitalise and pin entei down with its giant pincers stopping it from moving)
Zoro: obstagoon use facade!
(Obstagoon uses facade over and over hitting entei while it's down but once obstagoon is in a vulnerable spot where entei can attack it then proceeds to try and bite at obstagoon)
Amy: Crawdaunt use max strike!
(Crawdaunt uses max strike as the ground entei is pinned on erupts doing a lot of damage as Crawdaunt who was pinning entei down shrinks down back to regular size as it jumps off entei as said legendary looks battered and bruised and nearly out as it looks up it sees obstagoon high into the air ready to attack)
Zoro: use lash out!
(Obstagoon goes to use lash out as it heads down towards entei who is panicked by this and ends up using max guard as obstagoon hits the guard and is bounced back as entei gets back up and uses max strike as it heads towards obstagoon who lands by Crawdaunt and Crawdaunt tries t9 block and take the hit head on and as it strikes there's a huge explosion as Crawdaunt and obstagoon are blasted back by their trainers and a re both unable to battle as the storm gets unbearable and entei roars as they have to retreat and go back to the entrance)
(Timeskip: on the way to the entrance as the 4 are walking as they bump into a familiar face they see Nia as she looks and sees them)
Nia: (recognises (Y/N) and Zoro) I recognise you two! Did you want to do dynamax adventures too? We're on the same wave length, that's wicked!
Zoro: I guess it was beneficial in the long run
Peonia: I'm Peonia, nice to actually meet you this time.
(Y/N): (Y/N).
Zoro: Zoro
Peonia: are those 2 friends of yours?
Zoro: uh...
Wanda: I'm Wanda we're more acquaintances since we only really just met
Amy: yeah and I'm Amy!
Nia: those are some lovely names, loads of variety between the 4 of you. So where is the old man, is he on his way here too? I haven't seen him... has he managed to get himself wound back to the entrance? He never really was good at directions
Zoro: I still have a bone to pick with you.
Peonia: huh? (Realises) oh! Sorry about using in order to distract my old man. He's just so stubborn, did things go okay after my departure?
(Y/N): yeah we beat him
Peonia: you managed to beat my pops, you sure are full of surprises. Especially since he was a former steel type gym leader and even on a holiday he never holds back trust me on that one. Actually, my dad was going crazy over this trip on checking out local legends on this "adven-tour" as he would say but what universe does a girl my age be caught dead doing some boring stuff like that, with her father no less. Battling dynamaxed Pokémon is more my style and the thrill of them Pokémon towering over you and their giant stature in general... I just get so pumped up (laughs) hey I've got an idea, how about you two take my place!
(Y/N)/Zoro: HUH?!
Peonia: yeah it's a brilliant idea if I do say so myself, you have said to be powerful and with these local legends you may find powerful Pokémon! He's so excited about it and I'd feel bad if he was just on his own. I'll meet back up with you after I've had my fun in the max lair. Now go and enjoy the tour of legends! Make sure to tell my old man the deal and all that! (She runs back into the max lair)
(Timeskip as we're getting closer to the entrance as they look at the 3 pokeballs of the Pokémon they're allowed to keep from this)
(Y/N): so who's getting what?
Amy: if it's okay can I keep crawdaunt?
(Y/N): sounds good to me
Zoro: yeah you two bonded really well
Wanda: and it's super strong and came in clutch so we lasted longer than we should have in the raid battle back there. As for me, I'll have copperajah, I've always wanted a big Pokémon on my team.
Zoro: you want lurantis?
(Y/N): I think you would handle lurantis better than me
Zoro: are you sure?
(Y/N): yeah.
Zoro: alright then. (Takes Lurantis' pokeball)
(They head back to the entrance as they hand the rental Pokémon back as we cut outside with peony and the two boys as the two girls are waving goodbye as they're travelling away on copperajah as we see Peony on the floor well his bag is on the floor and he's on top of his bag)
(Y/N): oh there he is
Peony: god damn it hurts so much! Like ultra-mega hurts! Where's my baby Nia!
Nerak: he has been injured and after much setback and whining I managed to get him back here.
Zoro: what happened to him
Nerak: he tripped on a rock and whacked his head
Zoro: ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME?! THAT'S IT?!?!
(Y/N): ALSO WHY ARE YOU CHECKING BEHIND ROCKS!! YOUR DAUGHTER ISN'T TINY!
Peony: adventures aren't to be taken lightly I've learned that first leg and first head now, no wait it's just firsthand.
(Y/N): first leg?
Peony: ask the stairs.
(Zoro looks like he's about to cut him down as Gallade pops out it's pokeball and talks to Zoro and nods as they go off to spar and so zoro can not only get his frustrations out but also so he doesn't commit murder, become a criminal/convict and get sent to the slammer as Peony gets himself back to his feet)
Peony: no bump is gonna keep my down, so did either of ya find my Nia?
(Y/N): oh we found her but she's wanting to battle lots and lots of dynamax Pokémon in the max lair and she didn't seem to want to do this "adven-tour" thing with you.
Peony: so dear Nia's set on staying away and wanting to do this dynamax adventure stuff and she wants you two to crack on with me on the grand Peony adven-tour? (He looks sad and takes his hat off) you know, I burned the candle at both ends working out the best itinerary I could fir my darlin' Nia's sake but I suppose she's at that age in life where she doesn't wanna be coddled by her old man and trying to get her to do won't gain me any "dad of the year" awards, so what's your names my fellow adventurers.
(Y/N): (Y/N) and that guy over there is Zoro
Peony: you're much nicer to talk to than that guy (laughs) my name's Peony
(Y/N): we know
Peony: oh have I told ya already? Well it's twice as nice to meet you. Now let us go on a smashin adventure that even my dear Nia would want to join in on!
(Y/N): (actually a bit excited) Yeah!
Peony: that's just the ultra-mega-great response I've been wanting to hear! Now let's go!
(He rushes off as the two notice as rush out after him and once they reach outside the max lair they see Peony is far ahead and still running as they see him run down the path and into a town)
(Y/N): I know that place!
Zoro: you do?
(Y/N): yeah I've been here with Chloe and Ash and Goh, this is freezington.
(Suddenly (Y/N) hears a voice in his head)
???: (telepathically) so we meet again.
(Y/N): (in his head) it's you!
???: yes, don't worry we'll meet again soon, this time in person.
(The voice leaves his head)
(Y/N): let's go!
(They run after him as Gallade is still out it's pokeball as we cut to them arriving in the town of freezington as this old man sees this and approaches them)
(Y/N): it's the mayor, hi mayor!
Mayor: oh hi there, where do I recognise you?
(Y/N): me and 3 others came to ask you about a mysterious Pokémon
Mayor: oh yes that's it! So tell me, did you find it?
(Y/N): yeah we did mayor, we resolved everything
Mayor: good, good, I'm glad. Say do you wanna hear about a legend?
Zoro: legend?
Mayor: why yes young man, the legend of the king of bountiful harvests?
Zoro: is it true, have people investigated.
Mayor: (sighs) people come this way to investigate it but they find nothing. (Sighs and is sad) it's a shame really, there's very little to attract visitors or tourists to this quite little town other than that of a fairy tale. Maybe I shouldn't tell you it. I'm afraid there's not much here boys but what I can give you is a freezington specialty as a memento or sorts. Come with me.
(They follow hik to his building as he enters and comes out with two sweatshirts as out of respect they put them on)
(Y/N): this is actually quite nice
Mayor: it's a shirt emblazoned with the likeness of the king of bountiful harvests. It unfortunately hasn't sold very well so he have many leftovers. It's based on extremely ancient t accounts of the king's appearance he do why the head is more on the larger side but we thought it'd make the design more fashionable or "hip" as younger people may say. If you're interested in what the king looked like then may I suggest you look at the statue by the fields in the centre of our village.
(Y/N): okay we will.
Mayor: right, this is farewell for now. Enjoy your time here kiddos (he walks away as (Y/N) looks at Zoro)
(Y/N): what do you think about that
Zoro: he says no one found anything but I think we've got a mystery to figure after this "adven-tour" crap.
Peony: Oi oi!
Zoro: speak of the devil (they look over at a building as Peony is at the door of it waving them over) oi! (Y/N)! Zoro! Over here!
(They walk over as he heads inside as they enter too)
Peony: here you guys are! This little place will be out lodgings.
(They look around as there's a small kitchen area with a fridge, cupboards, an oven with oven mitts and sink etcetera, we see boxed with stuff on them and we look to the other side as there's a dining room area as we see a set drawers with a lamp and stuff on, we see a radiator because it's cold here, in the back we see a door leading elsewhere but in the dining room area we see a bookshelf with tons of books on it as well as a plant in a pot and a table with three chairs and a small flower in a vase on the table as well as this weird wooden looking thing.
Peony: more importantly this will be our base camp!
Zoro: this?
Peony: hey it may be small but it'll do just the trick. Anyways let me tell ya what we're gonna be doin'. Round 'ere we've got a fair few strange and mysterious legends. Unfortunately we have one less legend to do since one of them have been done by a group by project mew. (Starts crying and mad) CURSE THOSE GUYS FOR TAKING SOME FUN AWAY!!! (Calms down and smiles) but hey if the stuff about it being true then it just makes these ones even more to adventure out on!
(Y/N): what do you have left?
Peony: we have a huge headed Pokémon known as the king of bountiful harvests! And one more in which there is a massive tree where flyin' legendary Pokémon gather! This place is still thriving with juicy legends to explore and we're going to get to the bottom of them and discover the truths of them! We are the Peony expedition team (mumbles) though if I had my own way jd do this with my darlin' Nia! But hey unfortunately beggars can't be choosers, now expedition chiefs let's get this adventure underway!
Zoro: chiefs?
Peony: yeah, if all three of us went and my dear Nia came here looking for an adventure with her papa and then his be empty I couldn't live with myself! I'll be here manning the base and holding it down! Here have these
(He hands them some uniforms as they're now decked out in uniforms similar to Peony's)
Peony: I'm glad I brought many spares those look good on you two. Now I'll give these for one of you two to hold (he hands (Y/N) the 2 clues) watching loads of telly helps ya know when it comes to compiling all that is known on these legends.
(Y/N): I think we should focus on the king of bountiful harvests first
Zoro: yeah.
Peony: from what I've read up this king's bond with it's loyal steed or whatever thunder called run deep so let's begin the adventure of the uh... the sacred bonds of sovereign and steed!
Zoro: that was actually not bad
Peony: thanks. My quarter of a brain cell was working on overdrive of an overdrive to come up with the perfect name. (Realises something) wait a minute!
(Y/N): what?
Peony: I just remembered I had these! (He gas these two bags) consider these as a token of our meeting.
(He gives them each a bag as they look inside the bags as they see they contain a bunch of unique pokeballs as there's pokeballs, great balls, ultra balls and some other balls)
(Y/N): thanks!
Zoro: huh you don't see them very often.
(A/N): I'm killing the speculation here there is no master balls in there.
Zoro: should we go see that statue or whatever now
(Y/N): hang on a little longer something has caught my eye (he approaches the table with this giant wooden thumb on it)
Peony: oh I see you're liking my pillow.
(Y/N): pillow?
Peony: let me tell you two youngsters something, if you can put your head on something and have a nice Kip it is therefore an undisputed fact that it's a pillow. I left my favourite pillow at home and I found this out back behind the inn in this town. I have no idea why they'd throw such an amazing pillow
(Y/N): we may need this
Peony: come off it! Are you havin' a giraffe mate! You want me to hand over my ultra mega comfy pillow?! You're taking the mick!
(Y/N): eh?! Didn't you just go on a whole thing about finding out about the truths of these legends! This may be a valuable asset in that! Especially if it's what I think it is!
Peony: really? I it's found the thing but if you're hunch is correct and it does help us figure these legends out then you're free to do so.
(Y/N): perfect (picks it up)
Zoro: why do you need that weird wooden thing anyway?
(Y/N): you'll see but right now let's go and pay our timber monarch in town a visit
(They head out and see the statue as they arrive)
Zoro: so what now?
(Y/N): you remember what the mayor said about king of bountiful harvests
Zoro: hmmm... (he thinks as he gets the idea) they had a big head! (Looks at the statue) but that doesn't-
(Y/N): let us fix that (he puts the "pillow" on the missing part of the statue as we see the statue now looks like it has a big head and more importantly the missing piece looks like a crown as it's a perfect fit as they hear a noise as they look over and upon them but out of sight of the people in the town we see this rabbit woth a big green crown looking head as it looks a lot like the statue as it then goes behind some bushes and gets out of sight)
Zoro: hey let's follow it
(Y/N): good idea
(They run and go where it went off as Peony goes outside the front and noticed them run off after looking at the statue)
Peony: hey where you guys going! Have you guys got a clue!
(He goes after them as we cut back to the duo as they see this rabbit Pokémon)
Peony: what re you two up t- (sees the Pokémon) Jesus Christ what a massive noggin!
(The Pokémon floats over to Peony until it's right in front of Peony)
Peony: eh?
(We see it looking at Peony as this glow is coming from it and it looks like it's about to attack him)
Peony: what's going on?!
(Y/N): hey!
(Suddenly Peony is covered in the same aura and is floating as he seems unconscious floating in the air but as he speaks it's Peony's voice but also there's this additional more weird voice talking at the same time as him)
???: ah yes finally a sturdy body, this'll do just nicely.
(Y/N): hey punk!
???: fret not, I mean no harm it's just this method of communication is much less taxing, especially when it comes to those who are less intellectually gifted. I hope he doesn't mind if I borrow him for a little bit.
Zoro: I don't like him but that's a fate I wish upon no one (gets a pokeball ready but (Y/N) stops him) what are you...
???: yes my friend, it's good to finally meet at last. You're just as astute as I expected. However my anonymity has reached its conclusion. Hello (Y/N), you finally have a name and face to put to the voice, I am calyrex, I was once known as the king of bountiful harvests. Once again I just give my sincerest apologies for the unexpected event but this is much easier to do and gives me the perfect way to give you my gratitude and thanks in person.
Zoro: you know this Pokémon?
(Y/N): sort of, yes but it's the foetus official meeting we're having. (Looks at calyrex) but what do you mean by thanking us? I haven't even been able to help you get?
Calyrex: you are helping much more then you already know, I can't express gratitude adequately enough for restoring the statue of me. The truth is I used to reign over these lands as king, I was well respected as people would offer me their loyalty and respect for many years as I brought upon lush vegetation among these harsh weather conditions where vegetation would not normally be able to grow and thrive and allow them to have plentiful harvests. Though nothing can stand the tests of time unfortunately, even me, as while I was respected for many years, what comes with that is that fir also many years the people of these lands have forgotten my very existence, the traditions of offering have long since ceased. The predicament is that I'm loosing all my strength which you know already my friend but you see the way my power works is that I gain my strength from the faith of the people but as time has went on and people have since forgotten me along with that faith they once had I have nothing but a fraction of my former power remaining. So much to the point my loyal steeds have deemed me unworthy and have abandoned my side (we see the Pokémon look sad as a tear drops) an act that pains me to this very day but an act I understand they decided to commit as for what good is a king who lacks the power to help others.
(Y/N): I'm sorry to hear that. Being abandoned by those closest to you is one thing (his eyes are shadowed as his twists are clenched and shaking) is something I never want to think about.
Calyrex: fret not child, as the act of restoring my statue has also restored more of my power, at least enough to actually communicate with you for a long period of time without collapsing afterwards. Now kindhearted children may I ask a favour from you both. I must know once and for all of people have truly forgotten about me , I wish to speak to the villagers and ask if they remember the king of bountiful harvests but to my misfortune I have attempted that already and they either treat me as a fairy tale of the past or have freaked out and are intimidated by my appearance. Please may you assist me?
(Y/N): of course I will! BECAUSE YOU'RE MY FRIEND!!!
Calyrex: thank you so much, my friend. It's acts like this that despite being abandoned and have been forgotten I can't help but still love people and Pokémon.
(Y/N): Zoro let's do this!
Zoro: (grins) you got it.
(Timeskip as they go around asking the townspeople as a male says questions it's exist me and says if it's real why can't he restore the land to grow crops, they ask the mayor as he refers to it as a tourist attraction and wishes it was real, they ask an elderly couple as they say they were told stories about him when they were young and that if they were bad and messed around on the fields the king would possess and steal your body away, the one consistent story upon asking the townspeople is that the king of bountiful harvest is nothing but a fairy tale and even despite all the convincing they try to do they are firm in their beliefs as they look disappointed as they head back to calyrex as the Pokemon and the two trainers look at one another as the silence is deafening as one two words were spoken)
(Y/N): (sad and his eyes are shadowed)... I'm sorry.
Calyrex: I see, they truly do believe that I'm not real and the people of this land have truly forgotten the bond we once shared (we see it looks mad yet also sad but then goes back to having a straight face)
Zoro: uh are you-
Calyrex: I'm quite alright child, I'm not grieving. I had hoped I was remembered but deep down I believed and knew I had been forgotten, I mean, I'm the king of bountiful harvests and I know I can't count on people to remember me, after all they do live much less then we Pokémon do and as time goes on people and how the new generations grow up and remember stuff change, it's sad. This just proves if I want my strength to return I can't rely solely on human faith. If only my steeds returned them I'd regain something of what I've lost.
(Y/N): wait steeds?
Zoro: as in plural?
Calyrex: why yes. The fairy tales they know me as say I have a steed with me but in fact the truth is I have two loyal steeds who I could choose to ride across the land. That very same statue in the village is a depiction of the steed they believe I have rode on . Alas, though in ancient times we spent many days together, dashing through the valleys and over the mountains of this land my powers waned and that day I was forced to part ways and now I know not where my steeds be. Even if we discover their locations I doubt that they'd still be loyal. I've lost so much power... maybe the villagers know more about my... not so loyal steeds though in this case it'd be steed singular since they believe I only had 1. I would be indebted to you of you could speak to the mayor of the village on my behalf, if any new information is gained please inform me.
(Calyrex flies away as it stops using Peony to talk as the blue glow around calyrex and Peony disappear as we focus on calyrex flying as it gets out of sight of (Y/N) and Zoro)
Calyrex thoughts: alas, I'm truly alone.
(We then see it weaken and start to fall but it focuses and concentrates to keep flying as we focus on the lower part of its face so it's mouth and nose as it's eyes are shadowed over as we see one tear fall from calyrex's face and down one of its cheeks)
(Back with the adven-tourers)
Peony: (waking up) eh? Where am I? (Sees (Y/N) and Zoro) oh, sorry. I must have fallen asleep while standing even so my boys feels like it's two people in one body. I guess I'll head back to the base and sleep it off. 'Sides, it's freezing out here! (He walks back)
(Y/N): (mumbling) hang on friend, I'll help you no matter what
Zoro: (Y/N), we need to speak to the mayor
(Y/N): huh? (Snaps out of his thoughts) right.
(They head to the mayor's house)
Mayor: ah hello boys, how has your visit been? I must say it's not normally this strange around here, have you seen the statue it's suddenly got a massive head.
(Y/N): (sweatdrops) uh that's how it's supposed to look
Mayor: really? Actually it does seem rather familiar
Zoro: you men's the souvenir sheets
Mayor: ah yes that's it! Though I'm a bit confused you both speak like you've seen it before but that statue has been broken ever since I was a little tyke.
Zoro: can you tell us anything about the loyal steed or no?
Mayor: oh you want to learn about the royal steed? I mean I'm not sure why but I'll tell you so come on in boys
(They enter the mayor's house as the mayor is sat down as the two trainers are stood up as he explains it to them)
Mayor: I read an old book a long time ago and it said that the king's loyal steed was particularly fond of a special vegetable though I'm not sure what, my old age is really getting to me I don't remember what the steed so desired! Let's have a look.
(He gets up and walks to his bookshelf with lots of books on it as he looks at the title's of a bunch of them before settling and pulling one out as the three look through it as they see stuff about people saying the steed looked black as night and ghost like whole others said it looked more solid and ice like but the truths of their statements are unknown as the book is then put back as the mayor pulls another that talks about the crops of the crown tundra)
Mayor: (reading) "while carrots can be grown in the crown tundra, They have rather unusual growth habits. When grown beneath the healed snow these hardy roots tend to develop into iceroot carrots. Additionally, when grown in tracts close to where many souls are laid to rest shaderoot will be your crop." It also says here they shaderoot carrots are a favourite treat for ghost Pokémon while the iceroot carrot is the favourite of ice type Pokémon and that the loyal steed loved both of these variety of carrots or perhaps one or the other.
Zoro: again (reads) "with some stories speaking of a white steed delighting in iceroot carrots and others mentioning a black steed devouring shaderoot carrots.
Mayor: (closes the book) I hope that answers any of your questions boys.
Zoro: it did, thanks.
(Y/N): yeah!
Mayor: if you have any more questions I'll do my best to help you answer them, take care boys
(Y/N) thoughts: I hope you got that calyrex
((Y/N) hopes calyrex heard him and skme his managed to get through to it as we cut to calyrex who was flying to this big looking building as it opens its eyes and looks back and heads back to meet with them)
(We cut back to the boys as they're saying their thanks and stuff once more as they now head out of the mayor's house and about head out to explore the crown tundra for more answers they hear a noise and look to see calyrex is back as they rush straight over as they see Peony arrive at the same time too again)
(Y/N): I though you were sleeping?
Peony: I heard someone calling me, are you sure it wasn't either of you two?
Zoro: no you said you were resting you old geezer!
(Suddenly Peony is taken over once again)
Calyrex: I heard everything you were thinking (Y/N), I remember back in those days they would leap at any chance to eat some kind of crop, it took everything I had to restrain them. So that crop from long ago mits have been the iceroot and shaderoot carrots, thank you children. These carrots are a necessity if we plan to lure my steeds back though I think we should try and do it one at a time because trying to lure and tame both is a task of impossible success. Do the humans in this village grow carrots? If we could get at least two seeds that should more that suffice to allow me to grow a carrot from it myself.
(Y/N): we could always go ask the mayor
Zoro: no I saw someone watching over that big patch I think it's better if we ask them.
(Y/N): that's actually not a bad call
(They rush over to the guy watching the carrot patch and after a talk and them having to pay over money they manage to get the two bags of seeds)
Carrot watcher: now don't just plant nose seeds in the village, those are for your own crops. Again thank you boys, it's a pleasure doing business with you during these hard times.
(They rush back to calyrex)
Calyrex: we're you successful?
(Y/N): yeah right here (they show calyrex the bags)
Calyrex: (the Pokémon's eyes widen) you're telling me these bags contain seeds of carrots?! (Star eyed) you humans never stop adapting and evolving, your kinds ingenuity is amazing! Humans are truly interesting creatures! (His face goes normal again as he looks at the fields in the village) however, the fields of the village won't do, the conditions needed to grow carrots are not met. If I am to use my powers to help the seeds grow faster we need rich soil but the question is where.
Zoro: do you have any idea
(Y/N): unfortunately yes and no, there's the spots in the book that were reported on but I don't know where they are.
Calyrex: oh yes I remember you thinking that as you read it. hmmm, let's see (it closes it's eyes and focuses and then sees two spots in its mind as it speaks to the group) I can see the two spots that meet the requirements. The field field covered in pristine snow while the other is located elsewhere, the field with lots of gravestones. (Stops and looks at the group not using its powers now) we may need to split up to seek out the sights though I'll only be able to use my powers on one field at a time.
(Both (Y/N) and Zoro look at each other as this old woman in the background is singing a song to her grandchild)
(Y/N): well we know what we need to do.
Zoro: right!
(We have a freeze frame of them getting ready to head out)
(A/N): finally I got the first part done. Sorry for the long wait everyone I didn't realise how tedious this would be. One thing for sure is that once I'm done with the crown tundra arc I'm gonna work on my other stories for a bit.
