Hence, she gave up on the idea of letting Krystal marry into the Manoban family.

But when she saw that the two Manoban brothers were accompanied by females, Madam Jung felt upset.

If the Manoban brothers were both normal and interested in women, it meant that they were really not interested in her daughter.

Krystal’s expression was even uglier than Madam Jung’s. She clenched her teeth and said, “Two shameless vixens. The Manoban family’s men have terrible taste. They actually like such vixens.”

Her voice wasn’t soft.

Taehyung was talking to Lu Rao. He turned around and looked at her with a dark expression when he heard that. “I advise Miss Jung to be more cautious. Did the Jung family teach you to slander others behind their backs? The Jung and Manoban families are still friends. Do you think it’s appropriate for you to say this?”

Taehyung didn’t look like a good-tempered person, to begin with. When his expression darkened, people didn’t even dare to breathe in front of him.

He wasn’t giving Krystal any face at all.

Krystal’s expression changed.

She didn’t notice that Taehyung was there.

She didn’t expect anyone to hear her.

Seeing how protective Taehyung was of Jennie, she was angry and jealous, but she didn’t dare to retort.

The Jung family no longer allowed her to do as she wished.

In the past, it was others who spoke to her.

But now, she was the one speaking to others.

Not to mention the Kim family, even the small families inferior to the Jung family weren’t people the Jung family could offend.

Krystal hated her current situation.

Everything that happened to her now was a humiliation to her.

Madam Jung couldn’t help but feel sorry for her daughter when she saw how aggrieved she looked. “Taehyung, you said that the Manoban andJung families are long-time friends. Krystal just doesn’t like those two women and feels pity for the two children of the Manoban family. What did she say wrong? Moreover, they shouldn’t have anything to do with you, right? Do you have to speak up for them?

“I think Krystal is right. Those women are obviously not good. The Manoban family’s men really have bad taste. They don’t even like good women, but they actually like such trash. What kind of eyes do they have!”

Madam Jung’s words were a little unfair for Krystal.

Her daughter was so outstanding in all aspects, so much better than those two women. The Manoban brothers were blind and couldn’t see how good her daughter was.

Madam Jung didn’t know about Jennie’s relationship with the Kim family.

Hence, when she realized that Taehyung’s expression was getting colder and colder and that his gaze was like a knife, she was stunned. Not knowing what she’d said wrong, a hint of confusion appeared in her eyes.

“Madam Jung.” Taehyung spoke again. His voice was extremely cold without any warmth. “You said my sister isn’t a good woman in front of me. Are you provoking our Kim family?

“My sister is the best in the world. She’s worthy of any man. The Kim family has nothing to lose compared to the Manoban family. My sister and brother-in-law are a match made in heaven. No matter their compatibility, it’s not your turn to pity them.”

Madam Jung was stunned for a few seconds before her expression changed.

“What, you, your sister? Isn’t your Kim family still looking for…”

“I thought that your Jung family was good at teaching. Your daughter looks so obedient and sensible. I didn’t expect the Jung family’s upbringing to be so terrible!” Madam Kim arrived late and heard someone criticizing her daughter.

When she saw Krystal, she recalled how she had instructed Nancy to pretend to be her daughter. She got even angrier.

Madam Kim’s appearance caused Krystal and Madam Jung’s expressions to change.

Krystal’s expression stiffened. “A-Aunt Kim…”

“Don’t call me aunt.” Madam Kim’s eyes were filled with anger as she said coldly, “The daughter of my Kim family, be it in terms of family background, looks, or character, isn’t worthy of anyone. No matter how bad she is, at least in terms of kindness, someone like you can’t compare.

“The Jung family is also prestigious. Didn’t Madam Jung teach your daughter how to be a good person? A young lady from a prestigious family is talking about others behind their backs, and her words are so unpleasant to the ears. I’ve seen the Jung family’s upbringing and etiquette today. I can’t control what you say about others behind their backs, nor do I want to. But my precious daughter has been slandered by you. I won’t let this matter go.”

Madam Jung’s expression changed. “Sister Kim, is there a misunderstanding? Your daughter? Your daughter… hasn’t been found yet. Who are you talking about?”

Madam Jung didn’t know that Madam Kim had already found her daughter.

Naturally, she didn’t know that she’d offended the Kim family.

Madam Kim said coldly, “There’s no misunderstanding. My Little Seven has been found. Madam Jung, I don’t care if your daughter still has feelings for my son-in-law. If she affects my daughter’s happiness, don’t blame the Kim family for adding insult to injury.

“I took more than 10 years to find Little Seven. She’s the treasure of the Kim family. If anyone dares to treat my precious daughter badly, don’t blame me for being heartless!

“If you can’t discipline your daughter well, let someone else do it for you.”

Madam Jung had been a pampered madam for decades, and everyone was polite to her wherever she went.

Besides her husband, no one had refused to give her face.

She felt humiliated after being scolded by Madam Kim.

She didn’t know who Madam Kim’s daughter was at first.

When she slowly figured out who it was, she turned around in shock and looked at Jennie, who had already walked up to Old Madam.

“Sister Kim, your daughter is…”

“Don’t call me Sister. I don’t have a sister like you.” Madam Kim cut her off without giving her any face. “It’s good that you know. Then, take good care of your daughter. Don’t let her keep an eye on someone else’s husband. I heard that the Jung family is in a hurry to marry your daughter off. If Madam Jung wants your daughter to marry out as soon as possible, you’d better teach her well. Otherwise, with her current character and upbringing, I’m afraid no one will dare to accept her.”

That sounded awful.

Madam Kim wasn’t such a mean person.

But this time, she couldn’t take it anymore.

Jennie was such a good daughter, but she was called a vixen.

How could she tolerate it?

Madam Jung’s and Krystal’s faces turned green, especially Krystal’s. Thinking of the humiliation she’d suffered over the past few days, anger, sadness, and intense hatred surged inside her.

But neither she nor Madam Jung dared to retort.

The Jung family no longer had the right to make them talk back.

They could only accept the humiliation.

Krystal clenched her fists and bit her lip. At this moment, she hated Jennie to the core.

She couldn’t take this humiliation anymore. With tears in her eyes, she turned and left.

“Krystal, where are you going? Wait for me…” Madam Jung turned around and chased after her when, still mumbling, “About what I told you just now, your Aunt Cheng’s son…”

As the mother and daughter walked into the crowd, their voices gradually faded.

Somi was still standing on the spot. Her eyes were red as she bit her lip. After a while, she turned around and said to Taehyung and Madam Kim, “Aunt Kim, Brother Kim, I’m really sorry. I apologize on behalf of my mom and sister.

“I know they’ve gone overboard. It’s just an apology, and it’s not enough to get your forgiveness. But I’m really sorry!” Somi bowed and apologized.

“The Jung family still has a sensible child.”

Madam Kim looked at Somi and sighed. She walked over and held Somi’s hand. “Somi, your mom and sister did something wrong. You don’t have to apologize for them. You’re not the one in the wrong.”

Somi looked up with tears in her eyes. “But I’m from the Jung family. Aunt Kim, don’t worry. I’ll talk to Sister properly. I won’t let her affect Sister Jennie and Brother Lisa’s relationship.

“Sister Jennie and Brother Lisa are really compatible. I hope Sister Jennie and Brother Lisa can live well together. My sister… she just can’t let go for a while. But, I’ll persuade her.

“Anyway, I want to apologize to you again.”

Somi bowed and apologized again before leaving.

After watching her leave, Madam Kim sighed again. “Somi is a good child. They’re both daughters of the Jung family, why is the difference so huge?”

Jisoo brought Rosé to Old Madam and Madam Manoban.

He could feel that Rosé was getting more and more nervous. Her palms were sweating, and her hand was holding his tightly.

Jisoo held her hand and introduced her to Old Madam and Madam Manoban. “Grandma, Mom, this is the Park Rosé I told you about. Rosé, this is my Grandma and Mom.”

Old Madam had been looking forward to meeting her eldest grandson’s girlfriend.

Knowing that Rosé would be coming tonight, Old Madam even prepared a gift for their first meeting.

Hence, when she saw Rosé, she sized her up and smiled.

The future granddaughter-in-law her eldest grandson found for her was so beautiful.

She was as beautiful as her second granddaughter-in-law. It was obvious that her great-grandson would be especially good-looking.

Old Madam had heard about Rosé from Jisoo and knew that the Park family wasn’t prestigious. They were just an ordinary family.

It was even worse than the Kwon family.

But Old Madam felt that with the Manoban family’s current status, it was fine even if her two grandsons didn’t find a socialite of equal social status.

She valued character more.

Initially, Old Madam hoped that her grandsons would find someone of equal social status.

But as Lisa and Jisoo got older, the Old Madam started to panic.

Her requirements got lower and lower.

Especially when she lowered her expectations for Jisoo. In the end, not only did she not have high expectations for her family background, but she also didn’t have high expectations for her looks.

She felt that as long as it was a woman who could solve her grandson’s lifelong problem, it was enough.

Hence, Old Madam was pleasantly surprised to see Rosé’s outstanding appearance.

Her expectations weren’t high at the start, so when she saw Rosé, she was naturally very satisfied.

Old Madam liked her the more she looked at her. She couldn’t help but go forward and hold Rosé’s hand. “Our Jisoo has such good taste. Grandma likes such a beautiful girl.

“Rosé, you’re in your own house now. Don’t be so restrained. There are so many guests at home today. Grandma will be entertaining them later, and I might not be able to take care of you. Don’t think too much. When I’m done, Grandma will talk to you.

“Oh right, it’s Jisoo’s first time bringing you home. This is Grandma’s token. Take it.” As the Old Madam spoke, she took a bangle off her wrist and stuffed it into Rosé’s hand.

Jisoo and Rosé weren’t married yet, so the greeting gift she gave Rosé was different from the one she gave Jennie.

The Manoban family had rules. Some things could only be given after marriage.

But the bracelet Old Madam gave Rosé was also very good.

It was one of the accessories she usually wore.

Even Rosé, who didn’t know anything about jade, could tell that the bangle Old Madam gave her was rather valuable.

She didn’t dare to accept it.

Just as she was about to push it back, she heard Jisoo say, “This is Grandma’s kind gesture. Take it. Back then, Sister-in-law came to our house for the first time and also received a gift.”

“Mm, Rosé, just accept it.” Jennie nodded. “Grandma gave me a gift too.”

Rosé hesitated for a few seconds before nodding.

She carefully kept the jade bracelet. “Thank you for giving me such an expensive gift, Grandma.”

Just as Jennie said, Old Madam Manoban was easy to get along with.

Old Madam’s affirmation made Rosé feel less nervous and uneasy.

But Madam Manoban didn’t look happy.

She looked at the two vixens her sons brought back, furious. How could she still smile?

If it wasn’t for this occasion, she wouldn’t have come out to meet them.

Giving a gift meant that she had acknowledged her son’s girlfriend.

Hence, Madam Manoban didn’t prepare anything.

No matter what, she couldn’t let this woman enter the Manoban family.

Hence, when Jisoo turned around and introduced Rosé to her, Madam Manoban was expressionless. She just called out coldly, “Miss Park.”

Everyone could tell that she was unhappy with Rosé.

Rosé felt it even more.

As Jennie had given her a warning, she wasn’t too upset.

She already knew that Jisoo and her family weren’t compatible. His family would definitely despise them.

It was impossible for everyone in the Manoban family to accept her.

She was already satisfied that Old Madam liked her.

But no matter how Madam Manoban treated her, Rosé still greeted politely. “Hello, Aunt.”

Madam Manoban glanced at her and said coldly, “You’re a guest, Miss Park. Have fun.”

After saying that, she ignored Rosé and looked up at Old Madam. “Mom, I’m going to entertain the guests.”

Old Madam frowned, but she couldn’t say anything in front of so many people.

She could only nod. “Mm, go on.”

Madam Manoban then turned to look for her friends.

When her friends saw her, they pulled her over and asked, “Who are those two girls? Your daughter-in-law? Your two sons are good. They settled their marriage without a word.”

“But your two daughters-in-law don’t look familiar. Which family are they from?”

“They’re really married? Why isn’t there a wedding?”

Madam Manoban didn’t know if her best friends were really curious or mocking her.

They sounded like they were mocking her.

She said with a dark expression, “What daughter-in-law? Don’t talk nonsense. Isn’t it normal to bring a female companion to a banquet?”

“Female partner?” One of her best friends looked at the Old Madam and asked, “But I saw the Old Madam give her a very expensive bangle. That bangle is worth at least tens of millions. Would she give it to a female partner so casually?”

“That’s right. Your eldest and second sons have never brought a woman to a banquet before. She doesn’t look like an ordinary female companion.”

“These two girls don’t look old, but they’re pretty. I wonder where they come from.”

“The two young masters of the Manoban family are so outstanding. If the other party isn’t especially outstanding, they definitely won’t fancy him. But these two girls do look unfamiliar. Wenpei, do you know which family’s daughter they are from?”

Madam Manoban’s expression darkened.

She naturally couldn’t tell her sisters Jennie’s and Rosé’s true identities.

It would be a joke.

How so?

Telling others that her two sons found actresses?

This was hilarious.

“I’ve said it before, they’re just my sons’ female companions. Don’t ask me about the rest, I don’t know. Lisa and Jisoo’s marriage partners must be rich young ladies of equal social status with our Manoban family. Not just any woman can do it.”

“Is that so?” Her friends didn’t believe her.

They had all seen Old Madam gift the bracelet to Rosé.

If it was an ordinary female companion, Old Madam Manoban would never do so.

But seeing that Madam Manoban was obviously in a bad mood, they stopped asking.

Many people brought their daughters to the banquet tonight.

At first, they thought that the two sons of the Manoban family were still single and felt that their daughters might have a chance.

If one of the Manoban brothers took a liking to them and married them, they would become in-laws with the Manoban family.

With the Manoban family as her backing, she wouldn’t have to worry about anything in the future.

But when they saw that Lisa and Jisoo had brought their female companions back, they gave up on the idea.

In an instant, Hanbin, who had just been acknowledged by the Manoban family and didn’t have a partner, became popular.

Even though he was still young and didn’t need to consider marriage, it couldn’t stop those women who had feelings for him.

Many women walked towards him holding wine glasses.

In their eyes, Hanbin was already extremely outstanding. When he was older, he would definitely be irresistible.

At that time, more women would be attracted to him.

They might as well strike first and settle him now.

He was the only son of Second Master Manoban.

Marrying him, even though he couldn’t compare to the Young Master and Second Young Master of the Manoban family, he was still much better than the other rich families.

After all, it was the Manoban family.

Soon, Hanbin was surrounded by four women.

Hanbin was young and rarely interacted with women. He seemed a little helpless in front of them.

After all, he was still young. No matter how composed he was, he was still a little shy in front of these older women.

“Young Master Hanbin, let me toast you.” A woman raised her glass and smiled flirtatiously.

The other woman raised her glass and said sweetly, “Young Master Hanbin, let me toast you too. It’s nice to meet you. Can we be friends?”

Hanbin couldn’t drink.

But these women didn’t know.

Seeing that Hanbin didn’t respond, the woman raised her glass again. “Young Master Hanbin, could it be that you don’t like us, so you don’t even want to drink with us?”

“That’s right. Young Master Hanbin, are you unwilling to drink with us?”

“No, I…”

Hanbin frowned and was about to explain when a familiar voice sounded behind him. “I’m sorry, Hanbin is unwell. He can’t drink now. Don’t toast him anymore.”

Hanbin was stunned. He could smell a familiar scent behind him.

A few seconds later, someone appeared beside him.

He turned around in surprise and saw Somi looking up at him. When their eyes met, Hanbin’s eyes flickered, and he didn’t dare to meet her eyes again.

Somi looked at him for a few seconds before looking away and taking a glass of wine from a waiter.

“I’ll toast to the sisters on his behalf.”

Hanbin looked down at her in surprise.

The women were stunned too. One of them frowned and said unhappily, “Somi, what’s your relationship with Young Master Hanbin? Why are you drinking on his behalf?”

“Yeah, we don’t want to drink with you.”

“Young Master Hanbin hasn’t even said anything, how do you know he can’t drink?”

“What a joke. Who are you acting for? Do you think Young Master Hanbin will be moved by your actions and have a good impression of you?”

These women knew Somi.

In the past, they wouldn’t dare to talk to her like this.

But now, the Jung family might go bankrupt at any time. The Shen sisters were no longer people they feared.

This group of women had always been unhappy with Krystal because she used to be in the limelight.

But no matter how unhappy they were, they didn’t dare to do anything.

Now that the Jung family had fallen, they didn’t have to be afraid of anything. They vented their anger on Somi.

Somi squeezed her wine glass.

She didn’t know how to respond.

Yes, who was she to Hanbin?

At most, they were just classmates.

And they weren’t on good terms.

What right did she have to say this?

He probably didn’t want to see her too.

He hadn’t said a word since she stepped forward.

Did he feel that she was being too wishy-washy? Or was he angry that she interrupted him?

But he couldn’t drink.

Even if he felt that she was being nosy and hated her even more, she couldn’t watch him not take his body seriously.

At this thought, Somi took a deep breath and suppressed her grievances. She straightened her back and said, “I’m Hanbin’s classmate and his good friend. He’s unwell and can’t drink with you, so I’ll drink for him.

“Don’t offer him a toast anymore.”

With that, Somi raised her glass and wanted to drink the wine.

The woman sneered and said disdainfully, “You said you’re drinking for Young Master Hanbin? Did Young Master Hanbin bother with you? What good friend? What a joke.”

“You really know how to flatter yourself.”

“Somi, who do you think you are? Don’t you know what the Jung family is like now? When the Jung family is done for, imitate your sister. Are you so anxious to find a sugar daddy to marry?”

“But does Young Master Hanbin like you?”

“That’s right, she’s really thick-skinned. Young Master Hanbin hasn’t even bothered with her, and she still says she’s Young Master Hanbin’s good friend. She really has the cheek to flatter herself.”

“From this, it seems like the Jung family really can’t take it anymore. They want to rely on their two daughters to marry a good family and make a comeback. But do you think everyone is a fool? With the Jung family’s current situation, who would want to clean up your mess?”

“Haha, what a joke. She thinks she’s the daughter of a rich family. She doesn’t know her place at all.”

The women spoke one after another.

They were all using this opportunity to insult Somi.

Now that everyone knew that the Jung family had lost their power, these people were very realistic. How could they still flatter them like before?

They used to be unhappy with the Shen sisters, but they didn’t dare to say it out loud.

But now, they didn’t care about the Jung family anymore.

They weren’t afraid of offending the Jung family.

No matter how strong Somi’s mentality was, she was still a girl in her teens. After being attacked by the few of them, her psychological defense gradually collapsed.

She clenched her fists and was about to retort when Hanbin spoke.

The young man’s voice was strong and even a little cold. He looked at the women who attacked Somi without any warmth in his eyes. “You’re the ones who don’t know your place. Somi is my friend. It’s not up to you unrelated outsiders to judge our relationship. I didn’t want to say it too harshly, but since you don’t know your place, I’ll be frank.”

He looked at the women’s stiff expressions and said with disgust, “I’m not interested in you old women. Don’t flirt with me anymore.”

The women turned pale.

They didn’t expect Hanbin to slap their faces.

They’d thought that Hanbin wasn’t interested in Somi, and that was why they’d said those words to please him.

But they didn’t expect that Somi and Hanbin were really friends.

And Hanbin spoke up for her.

This meant that their relationship was good.

“Young Master Hanbin, we…” The women were embarrassed.

Hanbin didn’t look at them again.

Under Somi’s shocked gaze, he grabbed her hand and said, “Come with me, I have something to say to you.”

Somi was stunned.

The moment Hanbin held her hand, he looked at her blankly.

At this moment, she felt like she was dreaming.

No, even in her dreams, Hanbin had never been so gentle. She never dreamed of him holding her hand.

Even in her dreams, he was cold and didn’t treat her well.

Hence, at this moment, she felt that this was all unreal.

Even though she could feel the warmth of the young man’s palm and the way he tightened his grip on her hand, she still felt unreal.

Didn’t Hanbin hate her?

Didn’t he tell her not to pester him anymore?

So, he probably hated her.

How could he defend her in front of others?

“Somi.” Hanbin looked down and saw her staring at him blankly.

Her eyes were still red, and her eyelashes were wet with tears.

She must have felt aggrieved when she thought about how they mocked her.

She almost cried.

He’d known Somi for so many years, so he knew her too well.

She was just a pampered young lady. She didn’t know what suffering was.

She’d had a smooth life since she was young.

This was definitely the first time she’d encountered such a setback and grievance.

Before the Jung family fell, no one dared to treat her like this.

Seeing Somi like this, Hanbin’s heart ached.

He’d rather Somi be a proud and rich young lady than see her like this.

The Somi he knew shouldn’t be like this.

“Come with me, alright? I have something to say to you,” Hanbin said softly.

Somi slowly came back to her senses. She looked down at her and Hanbin’s hands and moved her fingers.

The next moment, she felt Hanbin’s hold on her hand tighten.

It was as if he was afraid that she would pull her hand away.

This time, Hanbin held her hand and left the banquet hall without waiting for her reply.

After leaving the lively banquet hall, Hanbin brought Somi to the back garden of the Manoban Residence.

He only stopped when he reached a quiet place.

Somi’s heart raced when she was alone with him. She was so nervous that her palms were sweating.

Hanbin slowly let go of her hand.

Under the moonlight, the young man’s exquisite and pale face seemed a little bewitching. He was so beautiful that it was suffocating.

His eyes were extremely dark, and his lips were as red as a rose in the middle of the night, but his face was much paler than the average person.

If there were really vampires in this world, they would probably look like him.

According to legend, vampires were a very good-looking race. They had outstanding looks.

Somi’s love for Hanbin started with his looks.

She felt that Hanbin was different from usual tonight.

It was even more… tempting.

But after looking into his eyes for a few seconds, Somi’s heart started racing.

She bit her lip and took a deep breath. After a few seconds, she slowly looked up at him. “Hanbin, thank you for just now.”

Hanbin pursed his lips. “It’s nothing. You did it to help me, so they… I should have done it. Somi, you don’t have to do that. I didn’t intend to drink with them.

“Even if you didn’t come, I’d still reject them.”

Actually, Hanbin was explaining to Somi.

He had nothing to do with those women.

He wasn’t interested in them.

But to Somi, it was another matter.

She thought that Hanbin was blaming her for being a busybody.

Her eyes darkened and she felt terrible.

Did he really think she was being nosy?

“I’m sorry.” She kept quiet for a while and tried to suppress her sadness. “I’m being nosy. I won’t do that again.”

Hanbin was stunned. He realized that she had misunderstood him and frowned. “Somi, I don’t mean to blame you. I’m thanking you. Can’t you tell?”

Somi’s eyelashes trembled. “I’m really nosy. If there’s a woman you’re interested in, I can go back and explain it to you.”

Hanbin was always liked by many girls.

He was the most popular guy in school.

Now that he was the Young Master of the Manoban family, more and more women would like him in the future.

Many of those women were better than her.

The Jung and Manoban families were no longer compatible.

And after Hanbin became the Young Master of the Manoban family, he would have many good women to choose from. When that time came, he would definitely choose a woman and spend the rest of his life with her.

No matter who he chose, it wouldn’t be her.

In the past, she was worried that Hanbin’s family background wasn’t good enough and that it would be difficult for them to be together even if they liked each other.

She was worried that she wouldn’t be able to convince her family to accept him.

The funny thing was that their positions had now changed.

That was good too. She didn’t have to worry about this anymore.

Hanbin felt a surge of anger when he heard this. Seeing how nonchalant she was, he got even angrier. “Those women are much older than me. I don’t lack motherly love, and I’m not interested in a sibling relationship. If there really was a woman I liked, would I still bring you here?

“Somi, what are you thinking about?” Hanbin was really angry, so his tone wasn’t too good. His last sentence was almost a roar.

He suddenly lost his temper at her. Somi was stunned for a few seconds. Her eyes turned red.

She held back her tears after being mocked by those women.

But when Hanbin yelled at her, she couldn’t hold them back anymore.

She felt especially aggrieved.

It was fine if others scolded and yelled at her, but the person she liked treated her this way too.

Was she really so annoying?

“I-It’s my fault. I was too dirty-minded. I’m sorry, I know I did something wrong. I won’t be a busybody anymore.” Somi sobbed as she cried. “I know you don’t like me, and you hate me, but I still have to appear in front of you time and time again to upset you. I’m the one who doesn’t know my place. I’m thick-skinned. But don’t worry, this is the last time. I won’t do such wishful thinking again.

“You called me over just to tell me not to be a busybody in the future. I know, I really won’t do it again. Thank you for saving me some face and not saying this to me in public.”

Somi wiped her tears.

She looked up at Hanbin with reddened eyes. “I’m sorry for troubling you again.”

Hanbin frowned and stared at her for a while before asking calmly, “Are you done?”

Somi was stunned.

Hanbin continued, “If you’re done, can I speak now? What I’m about to say is the truth, not a single lie. So, Somi, listen carefully.

“I don’t blame you for being nosy, nor do I hate you. You’ve never annoyed me.

“I’m not blaming you. I just want to tell you that I’m not interested in those women. We’re not what you think.”

Hanbin was stunned.

He suddenly realized that he was explaining to Somi.

But he didn’t have to tell them about his relationship with Somi.

He didn’t have to tell her his relationship with those women.

Somi widened her eyes in disbelief.

He said he didn’t hate her?

Did she hear wrongly?

But he clearly hated her.

If he didn’t hate her, why would he ask her to stop pestering him? If he didn’t hate her, why would he pretend to ignore her every time they met?

If he didn’t hate her, why would he be so gentle to everyone but her?

If he didn’t hate her…

Recalling their time together, Somi found it hard to believe that he didn’t hate her.

“Hanbin, you really… don’t hate me?” Somi looked at her in disbelief.

Hanbin suddenly felt annoyed.

It happened again. Every time.

The moment he saw Somi cry, he became annoyed.

This frustration wasn’t because of disgust.

He didn’t know why, but he felt uncomfortable when he saw her cry.

Those tears were like needles stabbing his heart.

The moment her tears fell, his heart started to ache.

“I’ve never hated you.” Hanbin looked at her and said word by word, “Somi, I’ve never hated you.”

“But I’ve been pestering you for years.” Somi pursed her lips and kept quiet for a while. “Don’t you find me annoying? Hanbin, you don’t have to care about my feelings. I’m not as weak as you think. You don’t have to lie to me.”
