Crystal's POV:
Florian gasped in shock as he stared at me, wide eyed. My eyes were wide open too, I was shocked. Did I speak just now? Had my illness been cured?
"How can I speak?" I blurted, covering my face in embarassment. Florian gasped again as he stood there, still as a log. "Princess Crystal, have you been cured somehow?" Florian asked me in curiosity. I shrugged, not knowing what to do or say. He then stared deeply into my eyes, seemingly happy. I don't know what he could possibly be happy about. After all, he might think I was lying about being mute all along. Then he would hate me for sure.
"Your voice... it's so beautiful," Florian said as he softly petted my head. His touch seemed oddly comforting, so warm and safe. He stared at me, smiling as he continued to mess with my hair. I smiled back at him, the corners of my mouth at ear to ear. I wanted to mess with his hair too, but Florian was far too tall to pet. "Want to pet my hair too?" he asked, assuming what I was trying to do. I nodded eagerly as Florian lowered his head so I could pet it.
Despite his hair being curly, Florian's hair felt so soft and fluffy, just like a sheep. After petting his amazingly soft hair, I began to yawn. "Florian, can I sleep now?" I asked. Florian nodded as he lifted me up to carry me to a bed. One we entered the bedroom, there was one queen-sized bed in the center of the room. "Florian, there's only one bed," I told him. "Exactly," Florian replied as he placed me under the covers. I blushed as I quickly shut my eyes.
Instead of walking back to the living room to grab more wine, Florian sat on the floor next to me. It was if he wanted to watch me sleep. "Florian, why are you being so nice to me?" I ask for the third time. Florian sighed as he said, "Because I love you, Lady Crystal,"
